    What do u think: Would it improve propulsion if the tailfin was hinged a bit flexible ?
    Especially at the moment the front foot presses down imao it could help to get more speed.

      Yeah on a normal surfboard if you want more drive you need larger and more flexible fins

    Or for shore launch only use a hand held battery powered prop stick that floats being tethered to shore by long rope to help help launch! 🚀 🚀 -love it!

    Does the hydrofoil fins have to be sized perfectly to ones weight or is there a range like is there a size that is good for someone of 215lbs to 270lbs?

    The motion looks the same as in snowboarding when u push with ur front leg and distribute weight to the back to gain speed on flat sections.

      you can pump up to a wake or use a kite with it as well.

      It’s like a skateboard, you get used to it and after your body is used to doing it it’s a lot easier and you don’t get sore anymore. If you’ve never road a skateboard, your first week of riding, your legs will HURT and feel like WEIGHTS, but your body gets accustomed to it and you don’t get sore anymore.

      Someone mentioned about skateboard, i was going to say about ripsticks instead of skateboards is a perfect example here. Its not that useful but still lots of fun. In this also you don't need waves to start surfing.

      stalactites. They form under rock structures due to dripping water, very commonly found in caves. (they take a very long time to form, and the french regions and architecture allow very well for such formations.)

    What is minimum speed it need to start? Will it start towed by boat with diesel engine with max speed 5 knots?

      It depends of your level... But it's possible to use a small boat with an 9.9ch engine.

    How fast can this go? I just watched a shark injury video where it is suspected that this board hit her. But this doesn't look fast enough to cut off massive chunk of her upper body. 🧐
    Unless it was dragged non stop. Hmmmm

    I am looking to do this on my local river... what is the best setup for "foil-pump"? I can't find any information on this. I assume you need a large foil? I have learned to foil behind a boat, but want to take the next step. what kind of foil is best for "pumping" ?

    So, what is the timing of the front foot vs back foot? Are both feet used simultaneously? Is the back foot used to push down on tail during a certain phase of the cycle?

      It is not very obvious to explain the method because the best is really to get on the board and try the movement you see on this video.
      The idea is to press the back leg while releasing the front leg to boost the speed. Then it hovers and then we do the movement again.

      I've seen people get a running start on a dock and jump onto it. They were really good at pumping and still tried for over an hour to get it. Swimming out from the beach alone... you'd need to catch a wave

    My great question is, why is the board no over the surface of the water?
    This isnt logical, those fins under the board maintain all that dudes wait?

    Maybe wider span of the wings could put more ease without touching down to the water surface. Even when the speed threrefore is a bit lower.
