You can also tell since goku was holding his own against kid buu as a super saiyan 3 but needed to fuse for super buu.
I see people complaining about the characters they didn't put in the game but you have to understand they have to leave room for DLC I could easily see by the end of this game's life cycle that they have about 250 characters
People complaining also don't realize that they've had to make everything for this game from scratch. Unlike BT3, this game doesn't have the luxury of using assets from previous games in the series due to the time gap between them. Despite that, they still worked to give this game a larger roster than BT3 BEFORE counting DLC.
Also if they added all the DLC characters immediately, the game probably would've been pushed back to 2025+ 💀

27:50 Fun fact: Despite the fact people say he hates Goku due to the crying he actually doesn’t, in the Japanese Dub of the Z Broly movie Paragus explained that Broly actually sensed Goku’s power when he first arrived on the trap planet/New Planet Vegeta (Specifically in the scene where they were sizing each other up and everything faded to black except for them and their auras.) and that caused his saiyan instincts to go out of control which made him see Goku as a powerful opponent he wanted to fight and kill, the crying had nothing to do with it. He says quote, “Could it be Kakarrot? Does this mean that Broly’s instincts as a saiyan have been awakened by Kakarrots power, and he is starting to overcome my mind control?”
Also in the JP dub he only knows Goku’s saiyan name because Vegeta said it right in front of Broly. Broly also only starts remembering Goku right when he is defeated.

Sad that Super 17 didn't make it to the main roster, but it would make if he or even Android 21 as one of Super Hero dlc characters as extras since they are related to Red Ribbon Army and it would make sense.

@@megamilkxl3414 the term filler doesn't always refer to "something that isn't in the manga" generally it means something used to pad out the story that doesn't actually push the narrative or character relationships forward. Super has a lot of that.
the first DLC pack is labeled as all Super Hero and Daima so presumably we'll get Cell Max, Beast Gohan, Orange Piccolo, Mini Vegeta, and then maybe some oddball choices like mini Shin or Dr. Hedo, plus the new Daima characters that have been in the trailers. After that, I'd love to see the handful of missing characters from older games (Pikkon, Super 17, Zangya) and possibly Great Ape forms for characters that should have them but have never shown them, like Nappa and Bardock. They stuck strictly to folks with canon on-screen fights (Pikkon is technically from a filler arc) so that they could really give everyone that animation love and reference specific animation moments, but it'd be neat to see them get crazy with it through DLC and updates.
The 1st season is already confirmed to be Daima and Super Hero movie. It even says so on the season pass banner in the trailer and also in the website/store pages
Yep. But Xenoverse and Fighter Z got multiple Seasons and there's no way this game won't be successfull enough to get multiple seasons too

Daima and Super Hero are all confirmed as DLC. Many are bummed that Zangya, Pikkon, & Super 17 didn't make the final roster cut but they'll most likely release in DLC. Nobody is touching grass when this game release.

Super after he absorbed everybody is 100% stronger than kid buu. Goku & Vegeta talk about how he got weaker but kid buu's is far more dangerous & unpredictable & he's evil incarnate just pure evil. Compared to normal super buu kid buu might be stronger tho
Kid buu has no extra absorptions so Super Buu is stronger
The DLC will be the missing character from the Movies (Pikkon), Dragon Ball (Android 8), DBZ, GT (Super 17), Daima and Super Manga (Moro, Granolah etc)
Dragon ball should be the next dlc after the Daima one in my opinion.
We can get Tao, King piccolo, grandpa gohan general blue, Devilman and more...

I have not forgotten about Goku Jr. I am probably one of the few people who would love to play as him in this game especially since he has SSJ and a headband like Bardock ^^
I also want to play as Tarble, Vegeta’s brother and adult/teen Goten. I’d rather it be Superhero Teen Goten though. I was never a fan of how girl/dating crazy Goten became. I like his character in the Super manga.
Also the first Uub is GT Uub before fusing with Majuub. Z Uub is younger. There’s a five year time difference between Z and GT.

Also they left Zangya out from the Bojack movie as well which was sad. They might bring Pikkon back with DLC like they might with Super 17 and Nuova Shenron.
The only movie villain they left out was Bio-Broly which I’m fine with.
They reference the movie with Goten’s team Kamehameha with Kid Trunks and that’s all I like from the movie anyway 😆

I really hope that they fix the audio lines for SSJ4 Goku, in regards to when he is conversing with Vegeta(It's Goku's base voice, rather than SSJ4)+ Super 17 is missing, should have swapped him with the Frieza Soldier.

Oh also don’t expect any Super manga characters or forms in the game. At most maybe a move or two from the manga. No characters or forms from the manga have been put in the games because of some kind of licensing issue. Even Super Dragon Ball Heroes which had like everything even made up stuff didn’t have DBS manga characters or forms. And it had Yamcha from ‘I was Reincarnated as Yamcha’…Yeah that exists.
As well as Z and Kuriza, Frieza’s son, from the old spinoff Neko Majin Z. As well as Broly God, a transformation Z Broly got in a 4D DBS ride at Universal Studios Japan.
Yeah Bandai only has the rights to the anime, not the manga. So they can't use stuff that's exclusively manga.

The "total" amount of characters is 181. Even though a lot of the characters are just transformations. So in reality its way less than 181
Yeah good point I forget that transformations are taking up a lot fo slots for this, I feel we could have definitely got a ton more unique characters like Bulla, Adult Goten, Super 17 and more, but I'm holding out for DLC

There's a reason for Gohan achieving SSJ2 instead of Goku. It was supposed for him to become the protagonist of the anime, but the fans didn't like it that much, so they just ignored the idea and went back to Goku. You know it cause in the beggining of the Android Saga they say "The dragon balls can't bring back who died more than once" and we know that it CAN happen in actual days
Yeah, Dragon Ball went down in the popularity polls in Shonen Jump with Gohan as the protagonist so Toriyama changed his mind. I think I heard rumours that it was editoriyal that pushed for Gohan to be the protagonist in the first palce but I'm not sure how true that is

I wouldn't recommend waiting for Super manga material to get animated, from what I hear, there's not enough material to justify starting up the animation cycle for just those arcs. They'd need a lot more material to keep it going for longer.

Fun fact: there is no "original dragon ball". The series is just Dragon ball then super. Yes all manga chapters of Z is not even called that. It's about...300+ chapters altogether. But yes the only serialization of the z manga only happened due to the anime. Outside of that again, it's just called dragon ball
Yeah it's he exact same as Naruto and then the anime having the second half be "Shippuden" but it's always just been "Naruto" for the manga

Getting manga exclusive stuff before it’s animated isn’t really possible as first of all it could confuse anime onlys and I’m pretty sure there’s a whole bunch of legal hoops to jump through for that.

@@ChocolateKieran he can though, he can still dash with the best of them which is the fastest way to move.
The only mechanic that is different is that when he stands still in the air he slowly sinks like some characters did in Tenkaichi 3.
the fact that everyone has super armor on him has a much bigger impact then the fact that he slowly floats to the ground when idle
