    Thank you. This is very helpful. I have been doing live-streams for 2 months now (started my channel 3 months ago). I use Logitech C920s. I’ve experimented on different lightings on a tight budget. My first few LS were terrible. My skin blended on the white wall. I have soft boxes in front me, lampshades on both corners behind me to frame me and then last night I used the purple shade on my flood light in the middle wall behind me. I think it worked well. But I need a highlighter on the side of my face. Thanks for this tips. You’re very helpful.

    • @DeeNimmin
      @DeeNimmin 4 роки тому +2

      Sounds like you have all you need. One thing about the C920, make sure you’re using the Logi software to manually dial in the look instead of running it on auto.
      Manually adjusting the camera is where it all comes together.

    • @CathyCastro
      @CathyCastro 4 роки тому +1

      Dee Nimmin got it. I’ll do that and perhaps I can adjust the video quality as well. Thanks for the tip.

      Recent observation has shown an increased interest in making a fortune from cryptocurrency but too many people seem to go into it without having a properly laid out strategy which is very important irrespective of your holding or trading route. The most certain way to avoid losses is trying out several strategies then sticking to the one that works for as long as it works and I came to this resolution when I stumbled upon some information about Mr Richard Nelson and once I contacted him, he helped me develop and with his trade strategies and Trading with him, I have been doing pretty well with my Investment, making a minimum of 11 BTC in profit in less than 1 months that I've been using his system. Thank you for the video i really love what adding a bit of colour can do to the over all experience, right now im using two soft box lights and a ring light, and dont get me wrong it works but i have a busy background, a horror doll collection wall, so i think if i add some light behind me it might help things, im just not sure how im going to do it yet, weather i illuminate the back ground itself or turn the light on me to pull me away from the background...i dont know, it will be a series of experiments i think

      Hey Gert! Correct, it does not come with a battery but it should have come with a plug in adapter for power. Did it?
      I’ve only used it plugged in but just tested a battery with it and it didn’t give me any indication that it was also charging. Got the F7 light I talk about in the video it has the same type of battery sand I’m using a very inexpensive version from a company called Kastar. I believe Neewer also makes them. The charger I got was a $20 charger and while it’s slow to charge, it does charge.

    @adriennesmith.artist 4 роки тому +1

    How do you white balance? Is that where you point to focus on your face?
    I did my first live yesterday and felt like I needed more light. I have a drawing light that has a daylight bulb in it. And it has a gooseneck. I needed to diffuse it so I added some Walmart (translucent white) plastic bags over it. I definitely made sure to pay attention to it closely, in case it got hot. But nothing bad happened! Lol 🤣🤣🤣 I think it worked well!

    • @DeeNimmin
      @DeeNimmin 4 роки тому +1

      Congrats on your first live show!!! What are you using for a camera? White balance has different setting for each. Easiest way is to search for your camera or app inside of UA-cam like this: How to white balance Sony Zv1 (or whatever your camera is)
      White balance is where you balance the colors. Focusing puts the focus onto your face (or object) so it looks sharp in the video and not blurry.

      If you set it up right. The thing to be aware of with room overhead lights, is that they are not the most flattering on your face and can create shadow.
      If you find the right amount of light with a key light, like this Falcon Eyes or one of their larger ones, it will remove those shadows and light your face correctly.
      In hindsight, I should have added that option to this video.

    How would you personally go about diffusing the light from the FalconEyes? I was thinking about getting one but the light is quite harsh.

    • @DeeNimmin
      @DeeNimmin 3 роки тому +2

      You can buy the light as a package that comes with 2 different types of diffusers. At the time of making this video, I did not have it. I do now. This is a good light if you are traveling, don't have much space, or are on a budget. If you can get a larger light with diffusion, the light will be softer. The larger the light, the softer it will be.

    • @DeeNimmin

      How small? You need a light in front of you. Something to light your face. That is a must. If you want color behind you, get 1 small RGB light and put it directly behind you pointing at the wall. It will need to go on a stand. I show an example of this set up a little later in the video.

    Do you have a video for lighting on a desk? I video my desk as I paint… the desk is white. I have so many lights and I’ve tried so many things. Seems it’s either too dark or too bright. Even my photos are this way. I’d like things to look brighter without the white background being so bright you can’t see it or the black rock I’m painting looking gray or washed out. I’m trying to learn. Nick sent me here and I have the falconeyes in my basket but I figured I’d check first. This will be the 8th light I’ve tried. I’m using my iPhone to video. @@StreamYard I don’t have one… It was in my basket but between the time of that comment and now I did order. I used the link in your video.
      When I’m using my phone to video I do lock the brightness but sometimes I lock it when I know it’s not optimal. If I click on white it goes dark and when I click on the rock it goes crazy white. I try to use the slider but it doesn’t adjust to a gorgeous clear view like I see. I feel like my art is fine but my channel growth is so slow. Im working on lighting and the music. I’ve invested for the new year. Hey there! Thanks for that information...we really want this to work for you too! Your art is beautiful! Sometimes, channel growth is slow but it's all about being consistent...but we want to help so it looks good too. So in your case, it's a bit difficult considering that the table is white and the rock you're painting is black. What we would suggest is that you that you set up the lights, lock the exposure on the rock, and then adjust the brightness of the lights to try to bring down the exposure of the white table top!
      Diffusing the light (softening the light) will also help!I would suggest coming to our live chat at streamyard.com/contact and ask for Christian - Katie 🦆

      Open the window and use the sun, it's free. Use a white sheet to hang in front of the window if you don't have a white curtain to soften the light. Anything large and white can be used to bounce the light around. You don't have to spend money to make your set look great, you only need to learn how light works and how to manually set up your camera. White sheets, white poster board, and white walls will all reflect light. Get creative with it.
