"When we spend a lot of time doing something, we automatically assign VALUE to it." WOW. That applies to so many projects, practices, work, relationships, etc. etc. etc. "You start to act according to your intention and that means that you just don't have time for things that no longer align for that and it makes it easier to understand what to say NO to." These are the two quotes "book-ending" this session. THANKS SO MUCH!
This is so amazingly liberating. My ADHD is not the minimalist type, I don't strive for simplicity. Yet simplifying the demands on my time and energy means that my butterfly of a brain is finally free to flutter around. After 4 years into Bujoing but finally really nailing it this past year, it feels like things just get done by themselves. I hate getting things done 😅 but when it's a 2-minute task that brings me closer to my life goal? Even my brain doesn't see a problem with that!
It sounds “liberating” to you. Good post.
Bullet Journaling made me live in peace. My head doesn't have to hold things anymore. Thank you so much!😊😊
Me too. I am less overwhelmed and am actually remembering things now… prior to bullet journalling, my life was a blur of events and deadlines all tangled up in a mess.
Love your comment.
Ryder, you somehow have a way of combining clear & methodical with feeling. This was really good; thank you so much for what you do.
Grateful for your precious suggestions! The evolution of the BuJo practice is incredibly helpful, thank you for sharing it with us.
I love the explanation about always speaking as to teach and not just listening ❤thank you. I'm often asked not to solve or teach but just be....now I understand what that means.
Yearly intentions and reflection is always daunting.
Yearly intentions need deep consideration. Often I rather leave blank than fill with the unnecessary.
Weekly Intentions and weekly reflections is where it’s at. On a week by week basis. I’ve given up on my yearly intentions lol. I rather just do things on a weekly intentions basis and focus on that. Every day is a fresh start.
Thank you for these resources. My memory can be so bad, sometimes it seems as though I'm as helpless as a child without my aggressively stripped-down utilitarian bullet journal.
I’ve only recently become familiar with the 2nd brain concept and was working out a way to use parts of it in my Bujo, when this video came out! 😲This is one of the most useful discussions about information organization/productivity I’ve encountered. Tiago has a depth of perspective about designing systems that support what you need and want to accomplish without becoming overly detailed or complicated. It is something that works well with the mindfulness of Bujo. Good stuff. Thank you Ryder and Tiago!
Glad to see you, Raksha! I’ve missed your posts!
Just watched this. Very helpful just like last year. Thank you Ryder and BuJo Team
this is such a coincidence, intention was going to be my word for 2023. glad i found this video!~
Me, too. Thanks.
Thank you for this, I really appreciate what you do ...
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. It had helped me a lot in my life personal and professional. Greetings from Ecuador 😊
Amazing as usual, I loved how you summarize the practice as a way to figure out what we want, why we want and how we get there, these are incredible questions to do to ourselves and to slow down a little bit to set our intention in a world with people so hurried all the time. Thank you!
Beautiful, valuable. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this! I have been struggling with the intentions and how to decide what to focus on to get a daily practice and I think I finally understand now 😊
The last question.. How to integrate Bujo with second brain? Please make that before the year ends.. it’ll be a game changer literally! Awesome video for the day sir! Loved watching and knowing everything in a single shot!!!
Agreed!
There was a video with Tiago Forte that is published on the UA-cam channel and one on Tiago's channel!
@@jessicachung sure I’ll check it out
Brilliant. Thank you!
Thanks for those take-aways. Very helpful. (Edit: That was meant for @Hali’s Ledger.)
That Instagram memes dialogue was so good🤘👍👌

I am new to bullet journaling and taking away so many great things. Thank you so much. If I was allowed to make one wish, it would be that weight loss wasn't used so often as an example of a virtuous goal or priority. The diet mentality is so pervasive that perhaps it feels harmless, but I wonder whether there aren't other examples that are more healthful and helpful. Like resourceful language--more on that, please! Thanks, again!
So agree!! The #1 goal example shouldn't be one that 95% of people will "fail" at. Also, fat people can accomplish things lol!
Thank you ,greetings from Belgium😊

A Bujo is my depository of all things and plans.
Really like the chapter log, thanks man.
Hello; Would it be possible to enable subtitles? I'm sorry I can't enjoy the video, I don't have enough level of English.
Thank you very much anyway if it was not possible.
Greetings.
They have auto captions available now.
Many thanks!!@@chelseag3365
Great video sir 👍👌
I had bought myself a stack of random notebooks at a consignment shop in a variety pack for the purpose of journaling and writing my thoughts out and it just so happened that a bullet journal happened to be one of the notebooks that was in it. It had several pages torn out of it so my guess is that at one time it belonged to someone who probably was at a loss as to how to start bullet journaling, or found it daunting and so gave up on it and donated it; at which point it waited for me to discover at the consignment shop. Most of my journals act much the same way a junk drawer would that one would find at home; serving as catch-all's for all sorts of everyday pocket things, thoughts at random that just need a place to be safeguarded to free up space in my mind so that I can function better with more clarity, however I never gave my personal journaling much thought or structure. I think that bullet journaling is going to be useful for me to visualize my time management and assist me in making more informed decisions with what to do with my time. I believe that my journey into bullet journaling is going to be a fun learning experience.
what a wonderful chance and opportunity! the ease of mind is such a gift. welcome to the BuJo journey!
This was helpful as I am entering a new phase which requires reflecting and journalling very differently. As always, I learn much that helps me to hone and revise my organizational skills as life goes on and on and on...PS I am soon to enter my 78th year! (that means that I will turn 77 in April) Onward!
what a privilege!
I use the math symbols greater than and less than for more of and less of. >< when I reflect for more of or less of.
I like hearing that you don't spend a lot of time Bullet Journaling during the day.
Is there a way to get captions in the replay? I am partially deaf and really need captions to be able to appreciate the video. Thank you
I think they're on now, I was able to use the auto captions.
Hi, thank you. Could you go deeper in the future log please? Where the monthly log was for event marked already scheduled and now it's for things that have happened... what is the future log: things that are hopes of, things are happing eg wedding or? Many thanks in advance.
Hi, thank you for explaining the process. It’s very helpful and live really life example and experiences.
You mentioned a full explanation of your system and the videos are each of the areas explain in full please? And is it free?
If so would you send me the link(s) to work through please?
Many thanks in advance.
These are part of our Bullet Journal Course :) You can find more information about it on our website!
Where, on your website?
hi ryder, I have a question. one of my intentions is to be more mindful with my time so that i can use it in the best way, is there any way i can do that in the daily log that you recommend? or any advice. thank you
I know I'm very late to this, but for anyone who is wondering the same thing, Ryder released a video about Interstitial Journaling which has been game-changing! Here's the link:

Hi Ryder, could you explain what Is the main difference between the future and the monthly log? I want to start a bullet journal and i think i would confuse the two easily (in terms of events..why should i write them on the future log too of I already have them in the monthly log?) I appreciate your work so much, and thank you for the sweetest smile :)
You do the Bujo as you go thru the year, so for instance, if you are in February and learn about a conference you want to go in August, you register for it and then write it on your future log under August, since you don't have that month set up yet.
Explore this channel for more.
@@Angellosa thank you :)
Future Log is simply “not the current month.” You can pour a cup of water from bucket #1 to bucket #2, and vice versa, but don’t try to keep the same water in both buckets at the same time.
Thank you so much for this overview. Just in time )
But I can not find any video how to make a daily/weekly/monthly review properly according to the BuJo technology.
The channel has a good weekly review spread
I need advice about a journal I only half-filled in a year. I want to put in a new future log but if it's halfway through the book it won't be so easy to find. I tend to put tabs sticking out the side of my pages when something is important but when I do that too much then everything is hard to find. How do you set up two or more years in one book, when you didn't set it up already in the beginning?
You have a few options:
* Go ahead and create the Future Log on the next available pages. Then note those pages in the Index in the front. To make it stand out, highlight it, put a symbol next to it in the margin, or write it in the top margin.
*Put it on the last few pages of the book.
*Take some blank paper and tape it to the inside front cover of the book. You could take a standard 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, fold it in half to create a little booklet, then tape or glue one side to the inside cover.
*Create your Future Log, keep it loose and tucked into the back pocket of the notebook, if it has one.
Hope that helps.
@@kimwoodhouse7891 These are great suggestions! Thank you so much. :D
You’re very welcome. 🙂
I have always loved notebook use, task tracking, notes, plans etc. I am retired but loved the use of prevously popular GEODEX. in this I put all of the organizing parts of your method. Since retiring I have searched for something that I could integrate into this part of my life and your system is perfect. As always personal customization goes a long way to make it perfect for you. Your presentations and your personal belief and committment to this comes across so clearly and calmly through your presentation,. Thank you for designing and continuing to move this concept forward and evolving.

Stopped watching after 30 minutes, so many adverts. What's the point in asking people to reflect when you bombard them with adverts?
