Only thing that I see being impractical with this thing is that if you don't like a strong brew, you'll have to get used to having to leave the coffee grounds in and adjust how much grounds to put in.
Yes, that's definitely something worth experimenting with. I tried using the straw a few more times with a little less coffee, and it turned out to be delicious. While it would be ideal to filter out the granules, considering the weight and size, the straw is a winner for ultralight hiking.
Looks like someone slightly modified bombilla for drinking yerba mate and slapped insane price on it :D
It is similar but has a finer filter. It's actually really well made and fit to purpose.
Awesome video!
Thank you ☺️

I would just use instant coffee or drink normal coffee without the filter
That’s always an option, absolutely, however if you want to have nicer quality coffee then I think this is the best gadget for lightweight hiking!
That's just a straw with filter. Hardly counts as a coffee maker.
Nice though.
Thank you - I’d say it’s similar to a cafetière, where you brew the coffee in a container and filters the coffee :-)
I mean functionally hows it different to a french press, which most everyone would consider a coffee maker
Not so different, the only different is that in a French press you can pour the coffee into a mug and away from the coffee granules.
