GOSH! I've been listening to THESE absolute LEGENDS since I was 13 years old! I'm NOW 65!!! Still 13 tho!!!! That's EXACTLY what Music IS ALL about!!!!!!!!
Same. Seems like only yesterday, doesn't it? I saw them twice in NYC. They were great, and Marc Bolan was awesome. Still remember those 2 nights quite well, and kept the ticket stubs! The music never dies!
I love Dreamy Lady and Marc's 1973-1976 era. The problem with a lot of Bolan fans is they wanted Marc to recreate the Slider over and over again and never change with the times!
Agree . . . there are certainly some "stand out" tracks - how the album only grazed the chart will always be a mystery to me. The day I bought the album a kid noticed my copy and insisted on telling me (and I quote) "Bolan is sh#te" - he ended up having his hair washed with my pint. It was his gob shut and job done. Great days 🤣🐸🤣
@@LDiamondz Ride My Wheels stands out because of Marc’s use of Major 7 chords to get that dreamy feel that floats around the chorus - Theme For A Dragon would have made a great single had he released the vocal version (hard to find outtake sadly not on the album) - Sensation Boulevard because it just works and, of course, the song that made everything alright again - New York City. Calling All Destroyers - something special from such a simple riff - in fact just listen to the whole album - it is rather good 🎸
OH GOSH! Marc Bolan and T REX are the BEST FOR EVER AND EVER!!!!!!!! SOOOO MISS YOU MISTER MARC BOLAN!!!!!!!!! ALWAYS ALWAYS IN MY HEART!!!!!!!!! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘👍🙏🙏🙏😇😇😇😇😇😇
@@lesterjohnston8888 in spring 2024 when I accidentally noticed him in a fb video as a tv presenter introducing a band. It was just up to 5 sec of him but he totally outstaged that band with his charms. And somebody mentioned his name in the comments. That’s how I got to know him and Trex.
Anyone heard Marc’s “cod Reggae” version - quite interesting . . . it’s on one of the many many outtakes CDs. Whenever I play the song that’s how I like to do it - I often wished he followed up on that idea 🎸🎸🎸
I didn't get this single until 1977, but must say I loved Gloria's Dock Of The Bay (B side) just as much then. I was only ten years old and later became a massive Otis fan. Still think Gloria's version is a good one though!

@@zincalloy2213Just curious, in your opinion, what are the best songs on the album? Thanks.

Watched this on tv a different performance in my pubescent yrs made me feel weird like why is this guy stirring up these lust feelings? I like girls?
Марк это явление..
Marc just f-cked that stage up!🦖🦢🎸🎙️👄🌟🇬🇧✌🏾
Listen to my good friend Michael Warren's version, on his latest CD Untold Tales Of Ziggy Heroe Michael Warren. I think you'll be impressed.
After this he lost weight and looked so much better.
booze made him puffy. and cocaine.
I wish he used Frizees hair product to show off his corkscrew hair in this video.
I think he's perfection in this video. Beyond gorgeous. He didn't need to lose a pound.
🎤⚡⭐🎩💝🎵
thats when marc lost mickey
Such a shame after his early bounce.
Too much slap, not enough tickle.
ultra gay here. though he had lost his boyfriend Mickey Finn
