This is sooo catchy , it’s something I sing to myself often. Only Marc could get away with so few lyrics just repeated…it’s a gorgeous song and would have been top three a few years before for sure…and when everyone was saying he was washed up he could still deliver a top 20 hit…great !

A better copy from a VT source exists. This was a film print of T.Rex on the Bay City Rollers' TV show Shang A Lang. The Bramleys bought it and included it on the Ultimate Video Collection, not knowing what it really was. The master tape of the episode of Shang A Lang survives and was used as an exta on the DVD of the Marc series.
They could. A copy fo the master tape was used as an extra on the Marc Shows DVD. This crappy film copy belonged to the Bramleys in the past - you can see it in the same grotty glory on the Ultimate Video Collection.
I love this song but I don't know why? And there is a bit of unfortunate situation in that the keyboardist was actually his girlfriend at the time and she was the driver of the car when Marc Boland died. I don't think it was her fault.
@@MarkGelderland Marc was drunk enough to accept a ride off her. He was responsible for his own actions. He had quite a history with The Sauce, so in his case it can be seen as an end result of a relapse after clearing up from years of heavy drinking.

I loved T Rex, but Marc Bolan was really awful at miming to recordings. Mouth not moving while vocals are happening (or nowhere near the mic), obviously not playing the guitar parts we're hearing... I sometimes wonder if he was doing all that on purpose as some sort of ironic statement.
The girlfriend comment is a bit unfair. I don't think she crashed the car on purpose. She was hurt in it as well . Then she had to raise their child by herself, virtually penniless, because she got nothing from the estate. In fact even his family got nothing from his estate because he'd been well and truly fucked over by management etc. All the T-REX stuff that got sold after his death goes to other people, not his son or his brother.
