Richard Carpenter - Unknown Interview Clips

I found some clips from an unknown interview with Richard Carpenter where he talks about his early years in New Haven, his recording of a song that got some radio airplay just before they moved to Los Angeles, and his views of the Carpenters "image" on their album covers up until Horizon in 1975.

I completely agree with him. In my opinion, A&M didn’t care about Richard and Karen-they thought of The Carpenters as a cash cow. To this day it pisses me off. And ya know, they were always talking about how wonderful Herb Alpert was. But he never did anything to stop the madness and I think he just thought of them as his personal cash cow.
