Why does every thumbnail need an arrow? Is it that hard to decipher who is talking about who from the video title?
Angle: “I’m having so much fun, I’d do this for free”. Vince: “Oh, really?”
Vince: "for free? Angle, say less dammit!"
Steve said in his book that Christian gave him the idea for "what?" when they'd leave goofy voicemails for each other lol.
The idea that Stone Cold Steve Austin and one half of the tag team that totally reek of awesomeness calling each other as mates is weird to me.
This is why all the wrestlers say Christian is underrated
I have that book, and he also said his hearing kind of led to him saying what all the time
this is true
That rare time you’ll hear “I was fined $14,000” and “I had a great time” together
Kurt Angles cowboy hat skit will always be my favorite comedy skit in wrestling.
I was in Tacoma for the smackdown
Dope
I love the backstage skit with Vince, Stone Cold, Kane, Taker and Y2J ...
Ohhh hell yeah!! I remember watching that 😂…. I don’t know how they didn’t lose it right there 😂
I only wish he had a pony horse on a stick
Kurt Angle = National treasure.. whoever attached Kurt to Stone Cold at the beginning of his career was a genius move.
It so cool that kurt angle is an Olympic gold medalist and knows how to wrestle but he is willing to make fun of himself hahaha
@@prasithoudomvilay8454 That's why he was able to get away with it 😁 cause everybody knew that he was a legit badass and could tie 99 percent of the roster into a pretzel if he wanted to.
Austin was the only person capable of giving Angle Credibility at first. He came off as unbelievably Corny at first and even with Austin took awhile to catch on.
Kurt is a GOAT and should be regarded as such. He won a gold medal with a broken freakin' neck. It's true. It's damn true
medal*
@@dr.loomis4221 Good catch. I know the difference as I am not a stupid fuck who chooses to be ignorant. IDK why the fuck I used a type of steel instead of a type of award lol
On his podcast, Mr. Angle mentioned that him and Steve Austin had a tough time to not laugh during the cowboy skit.
On Austin’s dvd What? they show some brief clips of them breaking down laughing. It’s freaking great !
"Today, I spent $14,000 on laughing."
"Was it worth it?"
"Holy sh*t, what have I done?"
Atleast with the what chants Austin was around consistently, imagine talent today STILL having to deal with the what chants 20 years later lol
What's really great is that they still do, though not nearly as often
Kurt Angle is legendary
Kurt was one what away to start giving angle slams to everyone in that audience
"alright, dont start pissing me off now"
entire audience really nervous about giving the what? when prompted to....lmao
Wow shit on my childhood. Those backstage moments weren’t live???!!
Eh great promo guys like The Rock, Taker and Vince could flip those What chants easily. Learn to shoot on the fly and you’ll be fine!
for having a 20 second into, you had better deliver some badass content.
you delivered.
We really did enjoy it.
The stuff between Austin angle and rock was the best WWE ever produced
You would think Kurt would know where to hold the mic in relation to his mouth by now.
Listen to his podcast if you want to hear this story over and over again
Kurt was just gold no matter who he worked with my personal favs were John Cena Eddie Guerrero the undertaker stone Cole hhh and edge
His feud with Lesnar was really good.
@@jasondyrkacz8270 It was only good in the ring.
He worked the best with Benoit imo
Lmaooo this interview was funny
Oh this should be fun
Kurt and Steve Austin really made pro wersteling different vibe and the comedy sketc😅😅😅 so yeah kudos to Kurt angal ans Steve Austin 👏 😂😂
If What made 15 mil, how much did Damn make 😂
Yes
Or Austin 3:16?
They are still saying What?! After 20 years that's just incredible
Or rest in peace
EXCUUUSSSEE MEEEE
Great story and Kurt has hit the upper tier of most amount fined by Vince in one night because that number is up there. I still think Jericho and Batista have it for their cage match. But man 14k in one night.
It's weird hearing Kurt drop so many casual f bombs
top 5 greatest of all time
Austin made Angle at Summerslam 2001
Unpopular opinion, I always loved the WHAT chant, loved when wrestlers got pissed, loved when they beat the chant and when they did their best to ignore it. I’m glad it outlived Austin’s career but eventually became boring after all haha.
The problem with the "What" chant is, if you're not used to improvising with the crowd, or if you're supposed to be the good guy, the promo is ruined. However, if you're good at feeding off the crowd and adapting, the promo gets improved.
What?!
Lighten up Mary
@@tafua_a its always been funny to me that people with subpar mic skills would just get railroaded by the what? chant. its such an innocent thing to say compared to "asshole" or "this is boring" but damn for 20 something years has been a beast to contend with
All these years, I had no idea that Kurt was such a potty mouth.😂
Oh it’s true…..it’s fuckin’ true
Can you interview Rene Dupree
Hearing Kurt say fuck really weirds me out lol
Angle gets fined 14k for a raw and still got some money while Kamala got 19k at mania'91
Yeah, todays crowds need to try "What!?" with the heels who can talk for the best effect
I always remember EXACTLY where I was when Stone Cold threw the medals off the Detroit bridge into the river. It was Sept 2001. I want to say the 9th-13th or something.
The You suck chants started shortly after if I remember. Those were good times. I was sleeping with my then gf in her parents bed lmao
I had a copy of his smoking skull belt as a kid. Wrestling got lame to me not long after though. The Divas kept my teenage self interested and soon they even fucked up what they had going there.
Why does Angle hold a mic like it's his first time ever?
It probably has to do with numbness in his hands after all the times his neck has been jacked up.
It's the percs
@@unclelum3259 no its not. I'm a percocet allstar and it doesn't make you hold objects in a strange fashion.
He rap battles on the weekend
Perc angle is the 🐐
That's just $14,000 he didn't pay taxes on.
Unpopular opinion: unpopular opinions are overrated, and suck.
WHAT!!!
I remember how Rock maneged the whats wtih finnese
he should have just challenged Vince to an underwear clad arm wrestle. There is no record of vince turning those down. :)
I wonder how long the Stone Cold character would've remained hot though. He was already cooling off and failed miserably as a heel. I think the injuries did him a favour as he left shortly after his insane peak had died down.
Austin definitely knew when his time was up, sure, he did come back for that WrestleMania match with Owens last year but that was nowhere near as bad as what guys like Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, and Ric Flair did to tarnish their legacies.
Yeah you’re completely right, I think in the long run, the injuries helped his legacy
Buddy everybody says that. In fact I bet you took this comment from another wrestling video.
Steve did fantastic as a hell wydm
@@cattameme or it’s just a common sentiment?
Best of all time.
never heard Kurt cuss so much before
Steve Austin is really the gaot of wersteling and the wy he paved the wy for young superstars 😂😮😅
I'm glad I'm not the only one who hated and STILL hates the what chant!!!
the real thing that differentiates the Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression vs. Now, they tried to entertain us in any other way besides good matches. even if the story line wasnt the best, these people made the best of what they had. thats what made these characters bigger than what their projections were; they knew how to work a crowd. nowadays, only a few know how to work a crowd or just have fun with the crowd
🤔🤨
i dont think tony khan is fining his wrestlers, vince is a real boss
What??
What?
WHAT
Want some milk 🥛 😂 ?
Unpopular opinion. Stop swearing so much kurt. Kids watch this too, you're supposed to be a role model
Wished there's a laugh emoji on here
@@XBeatmymeatX1990 shut up man, it's okay to swear here and there but kurt is a Christian guy, and he swears in every sentence 🤣 quiet down boy
Lmaoooo what is it 1950? They’re just sounds you make with your mouth. We get it you’re woke and nobody is allowed to offend you 🙄
@@bobsucks9647 yo but he's swearing in every sentence. Like holy crap man,
You're right. That IS an unpopular opinion.
Always wonder how they got by calling these guys subcontractors, when they have a contract no insurance and being told what to do? As a business owner I would love to do that , but if your using there tools and there telling you how to do everything that's an employee
It’s true, it’s true.
