Because he doesn’t like being called Hunter he wants to be called Triple H.
He can't help having downsindrown you know what u should have a match against him
You mean like Chris Jericho, or Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, etc... It's what wrestlers do. It's keeping kayfabe
Now I know why I don't watch WWE anymore, It was the 8 POOPY BROWNIES, Thanks OCHO
Vince apparently has a long fascination with POOP 💩 😂
Chris Jericho lookin' like a 50 year old Star-Lord in his retirement days
Which is badass.
Lol facts
The jacket reminds me more of Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes
I saw him on AEW the other day he kind of looked like a meth head Coke addict I don't know if that's his gimmick on aew or what but he looked rough
Or the violator early in hot tub time machine 2
I’ll never get over people calling triple h “hunter” as if its his real name, idky but i always found it cool
Oh dude, hell yeah, I think it's awesome. If I was a WWE Superstar, or even a writer or a producer, I'd always call the other superstars by their ring names. I'd call Paul Levesque "Triple H" or "Hunter", I'd call Chris Jericho by "Jericho", or CM Punk by "Punk", or even call Becky Lynch by "Lynch", and even call Seth Rollins by "Rollins". I don't know, it just makes you sound more cool. Is that just me?
@@calibratedrex1625 I'd go with the first names like "Hunter", "Chris", and "Becky" but yeah.
or call him trips
Well when you get called "something" for so long I wouldn't be surprised if he just responds to Hunter as a nickname like a lot of people would in that case
His name is H³.
Always love jerichos interviews. The man never disappoints as far as being brutally honest and yet funny
he just dissapointed massivly by being a Trump supporter... :(
Cry me a river, who the fuck cares!
@@thomaselbojensen8465 there’s no way it means that much to you
@@trevormelz5948 He's just an energy vampire, energy vampires say stuff like this, he's basically going "look at me" just whenever there's the opportunity. He's talking about Jericho and Trump but he just wants attention
@@trevormelz5948 some people will let others opinions be the overall identity of that person, despite the fact opinion isn't fact, its freedom of speech being used correctly.
Jericho is 100% right about WM 18. I was there and the crowd gave 200% to Hogan V Rock. HHH V Jericho was absolutely dead.
@In Plain Sight how many people complained when Taker and HBK main event 26? Cena vs Rock 28? Roman and Taker.......no that match was shit.(not only because of Taker's take where he didn't give it his all, but roman was total shit to work with in not being able to help a veteran out in the match)
Legends never die, I applaud you and the fans in Toronto that night for making the match what it was. You guys were the show stealers that night. But in all due fairness, there was no way of knowing that the whole crowd was going to pop 200% like it did for Hogan. If the WWE was expecting that kind of crowd reaction for Hogan, then surely they would have put that match on last. Of course, hindsight is 20-20. But at the time, it only made sense that the World Heavyweight Championship would be the last match on the card.
@@jp6046 oh ya I don't think they had any idea it would have been that much pro Hogan. I remember hogan saying that he had to call the match because the rock was surprised that he was getting bood. With that said it was Hogan saying that so I guess we have to take that with a grain of salt lol. But ya it was a crazy experience.
@@mrglass3617 I was also wondering this though..during Hogan and Rock posing at the end of their match, couldn't the WWE themselves called an audible and played "Real American" for the fans as Hogan poses?
Jericho never main evented MANIA..
He & Triple Lame simply went on last.
I have always enjoyed listening to Chris Jericho tell his stories. Especially about the undisputed champion story. I get a kick out of it every time I hear him tell it.
Goes to show that even outside the ring, Jericho understands storytelling. He knows exactly how to take you to and through these moments as if you're right there with him lol I've heard these stories several time but every time he tells them it's just as entertaining
Jericho is a really good story teller!
I remember he talked about wm 18, and I gotta admit jericho is good telling the story well. Gotta be honest hulk hogan vs rock I was forward to and I did notice the crowd was dead and I was tired by the main event! I feel the main event (last match) should be worth watching not like the miz vs john cena, I was like bored with that match coz I was recovering from the undertaker vs triple h match. Also he pay check too, he said he wasn't happy with it and talked to Jim ross about his case and jim ross passed on the message to Vince mcmahon and said, give him another check. It was either testing him or he stood up for himself
the shot after "what are you on the rag?" where kenny is sitting mouth agape and jericho then turns to him making almost the same face is masterful camerawork 8:43
Masterful chemistry between interviewer and interviewee too. I like Kenny a lot, he’s a great host.
i could listen to jericho all day he is another level of entertainment...he makes you listen in a good way...keeps you in the story
Yes, I agree 👍 💯
Idk but I love when he says "you can't make this stuff up" when talking about a fictional storyline. You can, Chris. You definitely can.
He’s talking about the actual stupid ideas that u can’t make it up that Vince let that fly on his show let alone it be his idea
Honestly I could sit and listen to Chris Jericho talk all day
The emotions of brutal honesty:
Chris Jericho interviews.
I honestly love how everyone jumps up first to defend the Undertaker. Truly the rocker room leader of WWE
I love that. "You might not want to tell the biggest name in the company that's he's boring".....seriously committing to Kayfabe there Shawn.
Or, yknow, it's legitimately not a good idea to piss off theist influential guy on the roster.
@@AshRain-nu3vz or, you know, take a fecking joke. Or do you need an emoji in every comment to explain to you how to react?
@@AshRain-nu3vz This was when Taker was the locker room leader, and genuinely a fucking badass guy.
Great advice coming from the guy who went into business for himself and called out Taker when he wasn't even in the building during their World Title feud
Can u imagine the amount of hate Jericho would've gotten and cancelled if social media was around back then?
Jericho...is one of the greatest. His mind for the business is awesome
Based off all the terrible stuff he's done in AEW, I respectfully disagree.
@@SkySoFew cry about it y0u mark. Hes a legend despite being on aew
He's creatively placed the spotlight on younger talent. Promo skills and theme matches...etc
Top 5 of all time
Jericho has the biggest balls of anyone in the business. Dude for sure is the son of a Canadian hockey player.
He is absolutely right about WM 18. The crowd Climaxed during Rock Hogan. After that, they just wanted to chill, have a snack, watch a little TV, and go to sleep. No one cared about Jericho Hunter for that reason
Chris Jericho came into WWF with that nice Y2J push, but we must acknowledge that he was only an interesting mid-carder/cruiserweight in WCW (with potential). That's the crux of everything. Look how amazing he has become!
Jericho made himself with what little he was given. Any other wrestler would have failed after a few years and faded into obscurity but not Jericho. Jericho made himself into one the greatest ever.
Jericho was always one of the highlights of Nitro. There’s a reason he got the pop he did when he showed up on Raw.
I love his stories. That's rough that cause he's the heel he gets paid 4 times smaller than his face opponent.
I doubt it was because he was the heel. It was because his opponent was Triple H.
@@MinimiMax Beat me to it
I was actually pissed when jericho didn't get a good pay and seriously why pay someone more who the fans want to see and win, I believe everyone wanted to see hogan not triple h and happy jericho pleaded his case to jr and vince said give him another check and it shows jericho stood up himself
I like Jericho really do, he's past it's even better. With details of his career, with no excuses whatsoever. him explaining of he's WrestleMania 18 match not being on the middle, how can you top Hogan and Rock.
Exactly. How can anyone top the matches that people paid to see in both Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker, as well Triple H and Undertaker in those 4 WrestleMania matches, including the Rock's matches like the aforementioned Rock/Hogan match, the Rock/Austin trilogy, the Rock/Cena matches? He does have a good point.
In another interview, Chris said after the cut that promo with Taker he shat himself whenever he went passed Taker and apologized to him lmaoo
Jericho was a star from the start, iconic debut against the rock
Pushing Jericho as the first undisputed champion was the right call. His heat was astronomical. The aftermath elevated his stock entirely, dude went from a midcarder to a worldwide top talent and looking back everything that happened was incredible for him. Can’t imagine what it would’ve been like had it been Triple H that was crowned, 2 other egos would’ve been hurt, and the storyline wouldn’t have been as memorable, e.g. Triple H vs Scott Steiner or Triple H vs Goldberg. Pushing HHH as the top heel that was over in most big matches was hard for awhile. Kurt and Y2J just fit the bill better.
Jericho is such a great story teller. In and out of the ring.
The ted talk of wrestling always loved watching this
Jericho by far one of the greatest of all time and deffo in my top 5 fav wrestlers
The reign itself may not have been as great as it should've been but Jericho can still forever say he beat Stone Cold and The Rock in the same night to become THE FIRST Undisputed World Champion.
Also always loved that Jericho was never afraid of Vince, respected his bosses wishes, but always bet on himself and that's why he's successful in everything he does. Jericho could've done Hollywood if he wanted to but instead started a successful rock band that he brought to a cruise where they had a wrestling event.
VKM couldn't have even dreamt that up in his worse fever dream lol
When Jericho retires he'll be forever in the GOAT conversation, and for me that's what he is. Because he wasn't exactly meant to be as popular as he is but with his constant reinventions and good ring ethic, he's one of the most beloved names in wrestling.
What I really admire about Y2J so much compared to most pro wrestlers in the business is that he's a real stand-up guy. Outside of the Undertaker, I can't really say the same for most other wrestlers in the business.
I was at that Wrestlemania with Rock Hogan, and Jericho is right. We were done after that match. I always forget what matches were even after that. And I was always a huge Jericho fan and I still forget that Jericho followed that match.
Something about Canadian wrestlers and their interviews. We’re so damn honest 🇨🇦
Jericho is one of the best story tellers ever
Listening to his interviews is like reading his books -- thoroughly entertaining.
Hell, maybe Chris should’ve been the one to beat Taker at Mania.
Nah Brock was the right move, possibly randy Orton at one point. or Maven ;)
@@personontheinternet6525 Hell Yeah Maven
I don't watch any current WWE programming, but love hearing about what happened behind the scenes in the good ole days
I was at wrestlemania 18. I remember the electricity in the air, half the crowd cheering for Rock and the old timers like me cheering for hogan. Now that was the definition of "The Roar of the Crowd".
I remember that really drove me crazy as a kid. Kept thinking why are these weirdos cheering for this guy he's a baddie! He ran over the rocks ambulance!
Did u hear the crowd was dead including u during the main event of jericho vs triple h?
yeah, that was confusing to me.i was 16 and wondering why everyone was cheering for the heel Hogan😅
Jericho neglected to mention (in this specific interview) that after his Mania match, The Undertaker himself personally walked from the dressing room, all the way across the huge stadium that is the Sky Dome, to gorilla, just to thank Jericho for the past 3 months as Champion and everything he did.
Triple h saw Jericho trying to work an angle with Steph and deaded that shit immediately lmfao. Like wait a sec that’s how I got in there, no chance junior.
Never thought about it that way.
@@matthewjenkins7488 But Triple H did lmao.... That really is how he got that pussy. And let's be real jericho was younger and I guess women think better looking than triple H lmao. "I'd NEVER fall for that" that was his way of saying "Don't start thinking you're gonna fuck her for real"...
@@matthewjenkins7488lol it also happened with Benoit and Woman (Nancy)
My favorite moments with Jericho was the beer bashes he had with Steve Austin after Monday night raw after the cameras were off best moments for sure
Man id like to hang out with jericho and talk wrestling
Wow to that Shawn imitation.
Jericho is a funny and a great story teller.
Jericho aged well
Jericho is an excellent entertainer. He was one of my favorite wrestlers. I remember Jericho's debut into the WWF and all the hype leading up to it. I was 10 years old. Even though he was a heel, I liked him and I could tell he'd go on to do great things.
Fantastic interview
Jericho could make the most benign anecdote compelling to listen to, he's so great at telling a story.
I wish u guys would sell these one man shows they are awesome
Chris jerichos match at Wrestlemania X7 with William regal was always one of my favorite matches. It sucks he thinks it’s only so so.
A fire crowd can make any match amazing. I feel so bad for him and Hunter and the crowd having been completely dead afterwards.
Triple hs fault for booking himself in the main event even though he knew rock vs hogan was the draw. If it was anybody else in that title match they wouldn’t main even.
@@AD-ur1fk Doesn't change that I feel bad for them.
@@TheOneWhoReportsForDuty yeah it happened To him at wrestlemania 25 too with Shawn vs taker . Him and randy main evented and it was dead
My favorite Jericho moment was when he was feuding with malenko and called him Stinko Malenko
I liked when he called Raven “Raisen”
Can't forget Greenburg
I remember that Taker interview. It was terrible, then Jericho calls him boring. I was like thats true, and Jericho is shooting. That always stuck with me, it's crazy what you can pick up without knowing what's actually going on behind the scenes.
Jericho is starting to look like a resident of the McClaren. Winnipeg represent
Bro we need more of Jericho telling all Vince stories or more of him just doing his Vince impressions😂
I totally remember being stoked seeing Jericho and Benoit before they hit the ring on two WWF top dawgs ! Because they were both two of my faves and I watched them for years in Japan and WCW and to see them maybe , just maybe beat them got me hyped !
I loved when jericho and benoit teamed up against the top dog's
Y2Js Raw debut is THE watershed moment in wrestling history. Wcw brightest homegrown star busts on Rock on the biggest show in the Universe at that time.
I'm honestly surprised Jericho and triple h are friends nowadays that might be the one thing that blew my mind in this entire episode
Have you listened to Jerichos podcast with Triple H? Its a great episode.
@@LazarSoljaga lol it was I agree, very candid conversation between 2 guys who didn't like each other at first but now buddies
Really enjoy listening to Jericho talking. He's got fantastic mic skills.
“Would you rather go on last or be in the biggest match on the card?”
Thing is the biggest match on the card should be on last.
Literally pays to be Vince's son-in-law
Well that does it, this sealed the deal. This story confirms for me once and for all that I don't miss Vince McMahon.
He is hilarious even with the phrase “stupid face” 😂
best story teller in the business
HHH should know better. Going on after Rock/Hogan. Going on after HBK/Undertaker. I'm sure there were others too
The title match at WM25 actually had a much better build-up than 18. And it still landed with a thud.
@@HelpTheWretched HHH actually started sweating bullets after and told Randy they were screwed.
@@assassinsknight If the match stipulation was more interesting, they probably would've been fine. The build-up warranted a violent no DQ match, not a one on one wrestling match where Triple H would lose his title if he got DQ'd.
By far the best pro worker in wrestling today. He truly is awesome in many ways.
One of the same gripes cm punk had lol
How the WWE messed up the short haired 2nd coming of Y2J is criminal, as bad as the summer of punk
I’m in my mid 30’s and didn’t start doing PPV’s with my buddies until my mid 20’s; but our parents all chipped in and got us that one. Real talk. All we remember is the Hogan and Rock match. I’ve never experienced Energy like that ever again. It even got our parents hyped and shouting.
When Jericho finally gives the game up he will be remembered as the greatest of all time. He transcended generations, wrestled all over the world, and has been the top guy in every company. He's a legend.
Talk about shitting all over his title reign, unreal!
Nice story. Funny. He's always been good in the much and entertaining.
I always love the stories of Jericho in WWF as a smark among marks.
coming to wwe from wcw is like the first day your in chow at prison lol
I started watching wrestling in 2000 and I remember Jericho beating Austin and The Rock in the same night and Him having that feud with Triple H and honestly his run as Undisputed Champion was one of my favorite championship runs but looking back on it it was a little lackluster
Company should have gotten more behind him and gave him more creative control. Guy really is brilliant; his AEW run is incredible. He's as interesting as the Rock on screen honestly but had a harder path to the top due to being undersized. I still would definitely put him in the top 10 overall just from workability standpoint. He could work with anybody and make it interesting.
❤️ Chris 😂👊
Jericho truly is, the goat. No doubt about that.
“What are you on the rag” 😂😂😂 Vince is always out of line but you got to love him
Lol Vince and PC culture are like oil and water
You don't.
That Tag Team Title Match is still my favorite all time.
The camera pandering to the crowd just makes me feel like I’m watching a wrestler take off his/her gear after an entrance interruption in 2k

3:36 Jericho never watches any of his matches back.
This aged like finest of wines
Turns out vince deserves alot me than a 👊
Jherico can do his own stand up show
Vince would have given him a better fight than Goldberg
The first night wasn't Detroit live it was Chicago... greatest promo ever
Chris is so right about going on after Rock and Hogan. Even the DVD (which I own) has Rock on Hogan on the cover. I don’t even remember Y2J vs HHH 🤷🏻♂️
Come to think of it, same thing happened with HBK vs Undertaker then having what?? Cena vs HHH? Who gives a 💩 after watching a classic like that.
Holy crap he can do good vince
First time I seen Y2J in WCW I knew he was star. I was so pumped when he came over to WWF
These Chris Jericho talks are hilarious
Best to ever do it...don't even attempt to change my mind
