TeraFlex installation video with Dennis Wood showing how to install a TeraFlex JK 2.5" Budget Boost Kit.

I really hoped to see a profile pic like you started the video with. It impossible to see the difference if you start with a clear picture of the vehicle and then end with a bunch of glamour shots of it tearing up the country side... Just give a before and after so your viewers can appreciate the improvements you made. Thanks
This is one of the best DIY videos on the Web! This makes me want this kit over some of the more expensive kits. Simply because of ease of install... Keep it up!!!
It's awesome that y'all do these videos, be nice if you could show before and after pics of the rigs
Anyone else notice that the spacer is there at 9:30 and gone at 9:37 when he actually gets the spring in? Tsktsk Teraflex, I see your shenanigans.
Your right dude. Good catch.
I just wanna say you're my inspiration in wanting a JK 👍🏻. After a couple years of saving I will hopefully be on my way to purchase terra flex lift for a JK of my choice!
did you ever reach your goal and make the purchase?
i wish i saw this before i did mine from the paper that's included...this woulda helped a lot more!
If you have wheels with 4.5" backspacing or less than you should not need wheel spacers. However typically when using stock wheels, wheel spacers should be used. Check the space between the rear swaybar and the inside of the wheel/tire. That is where those 2 items can come into contact with each other.
I will install 2.5" coil springs with stock shocks for now
you should do one for the leveling kit!
I'm thinking about putting this on my 10A I know it's a taller jeep so how much room do you think I will have with this lift?
I would like to know, do I have to use wheel spacers with this kit? Quadratec reccomends 1.5" spacers, but I have the kit on, drives great. What do you think? By the way, great lift kit!
Would I need wheel spacers? For to run 35 tires, IM gonna set it up with the stock wheels on a 2011 unlimited sahara, and get the 35's later.
Unless you have adjustable control arms installed, the only thing that can be adjusted is the drag link.
how much would this whole thing (parts, rough estimate tax, and labor) cost?
I am looking in 2 getting a lift on my jku 12 I like 3 or 4 inch range but on a budget can I do this and then a body lift or do u suggest a against body lifts if I wasnt on a budget what would u should I do for 3 to 4 inch
Would this be a good kit, if my 2011 jk rarely see's offroad?
The 10a is higher then other jeeps what size tire do you think would fit with this lift
about how much would labor be for this at a shop
Thank You very interesting :o)
I have a 2014 JKU Rubicon, Ive been told the rubicon stock shocks are very good. I've been thinking of getting this BB kit or the spring lift kit.....but can I keep my stock shocks without any problems?
I agree. I swapped out my stock black Sport shocks for the Red Rubicon and made a big difference in my ride after lift kit.
Thanks for the video. Will the budget boost change the ride quality, compared to a stock suspension. In other words, after the budget boost is installed, will my jeep ride the same?
I know that a full spring kit will change the ride quality to some extent.
It may change it a bit, due to aerodynamics and if you get larger tires, that can change your ride quality as well.
Thank you, I have stock 2015 JKU. Will my Jeep sit level after installing this lift?
After changing the front sway bar link, will the Rubicon's electric disconnect/reconnect still work?
VFR Kurt Yes it will!
This will still lift the front 2.5" and 2" in the rear of your 10A.
I have a 2009 jku rubicon and I was wondering if the 2.5 budget boost would be good for me? it is my everyday and family vehicle but I often take trips to the mountains and snow. would 35s and a 2.5in budget boost cover what I need? would I need to upgrade anything else if I were to do so?
+Chuck Gil I too would like TeraFlexSuspensions to answer your question Chuck. I have a 2016 JK (daily driver) and am wondering if 35's on a 2.5in BB lift be sufficient.
+Chuck Gil The 2.5" kit is a great kit for daily driving and runs a 35" tire, just keep in mind, you're not gaining much suspension travel with a budget boost, mostly just ground clearance.
Do I need to use the rear trac bar bracket if I am also installing an adjustable trac bar?
Yes, the track bar will adjust for axle centering and the bracket will correct for track bar angles.
I got a 2016 rubicon do i have to change my shocks ? and if i dont change them will they run perfectly?
The kit that we installed has shock extensions in it so that you can run your stock shocks. Not doing any shock changes will limit wheel travel.
Dennis
Why this kit doesn't come with front brake line bracket, is it even need it i notice you didn't install one on the jeep? And one more question would this kit fit a 2009 4WD JK Unlimited RIGHT HAND DRIVE?
A front brake line bracket is not required or needed with this kit. Yes this will work for RHD JK's.
Ya'll installed the rear sway bar endlinks on the wrong side of the axle and the sway bar... they go on the outside not the inside
HOW MUCH COST TO INSTALL ThiS BUDGET BOOST kiT Sir....?
Do they have a body lift for 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500
We do not, we specialize in Jeep aftermarket parts.
after I completed install go for test drive about 30 mile the front wheel are shaking badly please let me know what happen
+Vuong Truong That could be a tire issue, did you have them balanced? also, just ensure everything is tightened down!
Should I also be changing my control arms and drive shafts ?
Will I have a rake if I choose the coil lift with a rock crawler bumper and winch ?
+BAWLS2894 That's not necessary with this kit but you will get rake with the winch and bumper.
+TeraFlexSuspensions how can avoid getting the rake ?
+BAWLS2894 would it be nessassary to upgrade the driveshaft for a 3 inch coil lift ?
+BAWLS2894 If you have a 2 door, we recommend it, if you have a 4 door, you could get away with stock driveshafts, they just won't last as long as they normally would. To fix the rake you could look into a 1/2" or 1" front spring spacer.
Can I use this on JT…. Gladiator??
No, this will not fit a JT. We have a specific 2.5" spacer lift kit for a JT, you can check it out on our website! teraflex.com/catalog/product/view/id/20772/s/jt-2-5-performance-spacer-lift-kit-no-shocks/category/2/
Dang, I'm not sure that I wanna do this myself. I've always been a wrench guy, but this looks a lil too involved for me.
is this install the same for the 3.8?
Yes it is.
TeraFlexSuspensions thx
I gonna install mine on saturday...scary to the hell.
An alignment is not really needed with this kit installed. All that you really need to do is recenter your steering wheel by adjusting your drag link.
35's.
Somehow I think it will take me longer than 12:55 minutes to install this kit.
