I bought a wooting 60he before this was announced, but I'm glad to see more rapid trigger keyboards coming to the market. I'll be interested to see Rtings do a proper lab test review of the optical v2 switches in action. Glad to know it doesn't feel off in gameplay though.

If you physically remove the spacebar from the keyboard you will have an additional 10-12 keys under your thumb. And if you move WASD to RDFG you will get an additional 10-12 keys under your little finger. The main thing is that the space button without a keycap does not turn out to be too high in order to prevent the thumb from working with the new buttons. Give it a try.
Just bought this keyboard(TKL) version and I’m loving it so far just not quite used to the 0.1 actuation had an apex pro mini before this with 0.1 actuation but this keyboard feels more like it’s actually at that actuation than my apex pro did it feels so much faster and responsive

My only issue with this or the Wooting, DrunkDeer, AKKO, Keychron, or any company offering magnetic switches is the feel is paramount to the fact of their being magnetic. The number one input device is either a mouse or a controller. Meaning my fingers don't like it. Even if it's switches a fraction of a millisecond faster, I'll play worse. So will anyone and then if I need a type something I'll lose my mind. You mentioned keys and grip .. You may want to check out Ducky's rubberized keycaps. I use them for my WASD and shift key. They have several colors so you can be matchy, matchy or contrasty. I prefer custom keyboard with everything, handpicked and I can type on it and game on it easily. Happy. Also if any mouse or keyboard or whatever is running processes in the background then it's not going to make it on my gaming PC. I literally use a different PC to program and set up any peripheral or devices attached.

Great review. How bright is the keycap shine through in real life (when using in sunny room with color set to white, for example)? I've got a Huntsman V2 and its pretty poor. I saw another reviewer mention that the Razer has improved it in this iteration.
How is 0.1mm actuation? I'm having alot of issues. Tapping one key with some force will actuate the keys around it aswell. Also just whaffing my hand over the keyboard will actuate the keys.
Well yeah that’s kinda the point of 0.1 actuation distance if your still kinda bad at typing your gonna fat finger and misclick keys a lot. IMO stay at 0.8 actuation distance that’s my bread and butter for my wooting and steel series boards. Upgrading to these keyboards was a learning process since I’d always be mistyping non stop whenever I’m tryna type quick ingame.
The blackwidow v4 is more of an enthusiast typing/gaming kb with fr4 plate, tape, lubed switches etc so it will for sure feel and sound better when typing. The huntsman is the better gaming keyboard.
Only in Call of Duty. The way around it is to go into device manager and disable Razer xbox 360 controller. I'll make an update video once mw3 releases.

I finally threw the V2 in the trash because Razer has known about this for years and has refused to insert a toggle or fix or some kind into synapse... I just bought a keychron for the fuck of it but I was worried I might have missed out. You just verified that I did not. Thank you.
Wooting uses hall effect switches, this keyboard uses optical switches. In principal they both do the same thing so yes the functions are identical. I'm pretty sure the latency numbers are likely close as well, we'll have to see if RTings or someone else with the equipment to test it shows this but I suspect it will.
Probably not. You can also get the apex pro on discount if you are in the US from Amazon Warehouse. They're "used" but in my experience usually like new.
The Wooting is a 60 and a lot of people demand their F keys and prefer a 75. Until then, another alternative is the DrunkDeer A75. However, speaking for myself whether a switch is magnetic or not on a keyboard probably doesn't mean squat and if the switches and keyboards don't feel good, what's the point? Personally, I prefer a 100% custom keyboard that I hand build from scratch where I can select every component and modify it to my satisfaction.
Honestly, get a wooting. I made this video several months ago and still think it's a good keyboard but with wooting 80HE out, there's no reason to get this over the wooting.
I haven't used a wooting so I couldn't tell you. But 60% was never an interest to me. If you are ok with 60% and want a web driver and ability to mod, then I'd suggest wooting.

what percentage? i put mine to 65%, but looking at it now, it's still bright as heck with my light on.
I can buy Razer Huntsman V2 Tenkeyless Red Linear with 50% price of V3 pro TKL on the sale. Is it worth to pay that much more for V3?

The fact that it is available in all sizes and has just as good RT I'd say it is as good for gaming. But for modding, wooting has the edge.

Should I get this or the Blackwidow V4 75%? The keyboard sizes aren't a factor for me since tkl and 75% both work for me.
