Planes, Trains and Automobiles is actually one of the few Thanksgiving movies and it's one of my favorite comedies of all time. Steve Martin and John Candy (RIP) are at their best here. And the music is surprisingly awesome for a comedy. It's one of the few comedies that have really stuck with me through the years. A couple jokes are dated but most of them still hold up. And Undead is a really cool zombie horror movie. It goes places most zombie horror movies don't. It's fun.
I'm such a movie geek myself, I get a kick out of watching your physical media videos for recommendations. And nostalgia for why dvds are so rare to find. I fell in love with Cruel Intentions the first time I saw it, Pan's Labyrinth too. I can't believe you haven't seen them. Their awesome!
Undead is an Australian film. The first feature film of the Spierig Brothers who later made Daybreakers, Predestination, and Jigsaw. They made a horror film called Winchester recently which I haven't watched yet. Undead was apparently mostly self-funded too. It's fun. But most interestingly, they did all of the computer special effects on their own on their laptops, rendering throughout the night while they were asleep.
@@HauntedHippie Yeah it wasn't great, but I have a tendancy to support the underdog. There are good and creative ideas in their films. They just need the resources and the experience.
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari was one of the first films I had to study in my film class. I should revisit it. You've never seen Cruel Intentions?! I loved that movie so much as a teenager. I hope you like it!
Along with the chaotic vibe of this video, I really love your editing, especially at the beginning with the little ASMR and the zooming in. You weren't kidding on your Insta about how much this was driving you crazy. You got so many amazing movies. Some of them I gotta check out. But I absolutely loved this! Thanks so much Kylie! Looking forward to checking out the follow up to this on your second channel!
Don't feel bad. I've never seen Pans Labyrinth either, which is weird because I think I would love it. I'm gonna be sending you something fun in the next couple of weeks. I suppose the big box answers my question of how big I could go, haha.
You do such a good job, I recently stumbled across your channel and especially love your deep dive videos. Keep it up your doing great things for us horrorheads.
So much content today, here and on Patreon, that's awesome sis!!! Make sure to take break time to time and you know Loki season 2 has been giving heavy horror vibes
I love to see a persons physical media collection growing strong. The Woman is an intense one from the director of May, Lucky McKee. I Saw What You Did is a fun, solid flick from what I remember. And it has an 80s remake starring Amanda(from Saw) herself Shawnee Smith.
Had a feeling this was going to be chaotic based on what you showed on your Insta story and I can see what you mean now. So many great movies with some I have not heard of but that was a lot. Thanks for this chaotic physical media update Kylie! Going to go check out the vlog now!
That's quite the box! Some fantastic films in there! House 2 is very unfairly treated, for a long time it was sporting a big fat 0% on rotten tomatoes, but it's honestly a lot of dumb fun
_The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari_ is one of my favorite films of all time, and paired with my obsessions of the original Bela Lugosi _Dracula_ and the work of Junji Ito makes this the definitive best physical media haul I have ever seen. Absolutely incredible additions all around.
Really like these videos being a collector of physical media myself. Definitely check out that It's Alive set especially the original. Also Hell Night and The Last Starfighter. Directed by Nick Castle!
Last Action Hero is one of the most underrated movies of all time. It has flaws but the film has so many great things about it as a film fan I'm sure you'll love it. Also The Last Starfighter is a classic 80's movie.
Junji Ito is amazing. I make an effort to buy every English language release of his manga and he's consistently great. Tomie, Remina, Dissolving Classroom, Cat Diary, the Souchi Tsuji stories, and his version of Frankenstein are other great options to try.
I noticed Hollow Man (2000) in your collection, I was born in 1989 and saw that movie either 2000 or 2001, when my parents rented VHS, remember those old-school video-tapes? VHS was movie platform before DVD's and after that came Blu-Ray.
I think caligari is one of nick cage’s favorite flicks. and it’s always sunny is great lol glad you got around to it what a come up! I was kinda joking before but lowkey you could straight up open an old school video store with your collection, if not now it seems inevitable haha
This haul is crazy! Wtf are you gonna do with all that physical media?! I mean you got my address already so you know where to slide some of those titles to! Hahaha the jaws w/ book, hills have eyes w/ poster, and the battle royale pack are definitely the coolest ones you got imho! I actually first saw battle royale when I was in high school cuz it was part of my group English project where we discussed the hunger games!! I watched battle royale cuz the assignment was to see a movie similar to the book we were reading and battle royale is basically the Japanese hunger games! It’s brutal and bloody but a great time! I’ll check out part 2 on the vlog channel later!
I don’t ever comment on UA-cam but I had to say u LOOK SO GOOD IN THIS VIDEO KYLIE!!! I mean u always look beautiful but ur really serving and glowing in this and I’m here for it! Lots of love girlie!!
One of my favorite gifts from my current Girlfriend was a blu-ray copy of “The Grudge” U.S version. An unsealed one goes for around $60-70. Considering there’s only Europeans copies of it for blu ray. PS. Battle Royale is my favorite jelly you got that
You know, you should try and hunt for some more Junji Ito's works! I got several of them (brazilian editions from like some decades ago), and they are freaking amazing! For real...
I love that you still buy DVDs and don't care. People out here like "oh blu ray and 4K 🧐" it's the art at the end of the day that matters and most of the time DVDs have the most features and cool packaging
Pans labyrinth was my favorite movie in highschool and my girlfriend said"he made me watch this movie that was in Spanish" needless to say we broke up shortly after
"Battle Royale" is my absolute favorite Japanese movie of all time, and will always be better than "The Hunger Games", hands down. Another interesting fact that it is Quentin Tarantino's favorite movie from 1992 to the present.💯👏🏻
Wow what a haul! Lots of great films and some I've never even heard of which is cool.. I have a love/hate relationship with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but the pros outweigh the cons.. Elf and Christmas Vacation are both classic.. Elf definitely top 5 Christmas film.. Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a John Hughes film.. it takes place around Thanksgiving, but it's considered a "holiday film" and is always popular around November and December.. I think you'd 100% like the Last House on the Left remake more than the original, but I guess it would just be the lesser of two evils if you hated the original.. the remake has a solid cast with Aaron Paul and Becca from Superbad (I forgot her name).. Hot take but I loathe Hocus Pocus.. it came out when I was 9 and I had no interest in it at all despite Thora Birch being in it, loved her, still do.. but I finally watched it I was in my 30s lol and nope no bueno.. I know I wouldn't have even liked it back in the 90s.. Detention has been on my radar forever.. I know Joseph Kahn directed it, he's one of the biggest music video directors ever.. Cruel Intentions was a film I loved and watched a lot in high school, but I haven't seen it in forever and I fear I would cringe hard at it now.. stacked cast though! It's definitely worth watching regardless.. Friday the 13th Part 3 steelbook?! Let's gooo! I'm embarrassed to say I've still never seen Hollow Man because Elisabeth Shue is everything, one of my faves, such an underrated actor..
Would you say putting politics in movies is a bad thing? Also, do you think if an artist has opposite political beliefs, does that automatcally make you skeptical to like there own work? Thanks, and much love.
Dude the films kept coming and coming lmaoo . When I saw that box I was like 😳 🫣 if the Fender Bender film you got is the one from 2016, it’s a pretty decent indie film, it has some scream vibes and a pretty little liars actress is on it ( Dre Davis ) and hell yeah to steelbooks ! I love them
The Last Starfighter is a fun watch!!
Planes, Trains and Automobiles is actually one of the few Thanksgiving movies and it's one of my favorite comedies of all time. Steve Martin and John Candy (RIP) are at their best here. Best way to celebrate Best Buy not selling physical media anymore then by getting a bunch of physical media
Yep! LOL
I wish someone would send me a big ass box of movies!!!
🤣🤣🤣

Ohhh Winchester was like so bad that it was good. I like jigsaw

6:30 Carla Gucino will always be Carmen and Juni’s mom from Spy Kids to me
You don’t need to watch the first Charlie’s angels to appreciate full throttle
Blood and Black Lace is a classic. Doing it as a watch party tonight
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari was one of the first films I had to study in my film class. I should revisit it. You've never seen Cruel Intentions?! I loved that movie so much as a teenager. I hope you like it!
also the soundtrack absolutely slaps
Glad everything arrived safe and sound.
Happy they have a new home. Enjoy!
Ah thank you so much!

Oh god you should totally watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles this Thanksgiving/Christmas. It’s so good, possibly my favorite comedy
I’ve been getting into steel books too. My favorite I own so far is Army of Darkness
Don't feel bad. I've never seen Pans Labyrinth either, which is weird because I think I would love it.
I'm gonna be sending you something fun in the next couple of weeks. I suppose the big box answers my question of how big I could go, haha.
oooo can't wait!
Long live physical media!!!
Bless you Kylie, for amassing a library of Blu-ray movies to deep dive into.
Put the plushie in a pillow case in the dryer on low heat for a half hour to hour. Should plump up some.
I saw A Fish Called Wanda for the first time yesterday. Absolutely hilarious British Comedy with John Cleese. Kevin Kline kills it
Were did you get the glowing bat picture in the back?
Joanne Fabrics!
i think you might have reignited my love for physical media....damn it i was out already!!! back to going to thrift stores and picking up horror.
You do such a good job, I recently stumbled across your channel and especially love your deep dive videos. Keep it up your doing great things for us horrorheads.
Thank you! Will do!

There are some serious gems in this haul.

Kylie, great video. Oh, Kylie, The Last Starfighter was directed by Nick Castle.
You have to watch Cruel Intentions. One of my favorite movies 😍 it has one of the best endings ever!
Love the bat. I just ordered the coffin skull squish mellow.🖤
Awesome you have an amazing community 🖤
If someone ever dares to say "PhYsiCaL MEdIa Is DeAd" , I'm sending them the link of this video !!!

Amazing physical media update haul video with tons of cool stuff!
This IS a super cool cult!! Sweet haul, great video!
Planes trains and automobiles is john candy gold and the ending will leave you in shambles definitely an under rated must watch
Loved this video thank you
Amazing to see all these movies 🦇🎃
Junji Ito is amazing. I make an effort to buy every English language release of his manga and he's consistently great. Tomie, Remina, Dissolving Classroom, Cat Diary, the Souchi Tsuji stories, and his version of Frankenstein are other great options to try.
I have the Arrow Video House collection, it’s amazing and quite rare now as it’s OOP..
Whoaaaa! What a plethora of creepy goodness!!
junji ito is some of the best horror out there - also some interesting movie adaptations of his work, uzumaki is so good
I've only got into manga this year, and it's entirely because of Junji Ito; the Uzumaki manga is a masterpiece
I noticed Hollow Man (2000) in your collection, I was born in 1989 and saw that movie either 2000 or 2001, when my parents rented VHS, remember those old-school video-tapes? VHS was movie platform before DVD's and after that came Blu-Ray.

Hello Kylie. I love your really cool shirt. You have a good energy as always. Have a wonderful day. 🌹

"Cobra" is a pretty cool movie, it's a Grindhouse movie basically(gritty action movie with a slasher/horror vibe). It's worth checking out
No freaking way
We should start a petition to change the official term from snapper case to clippy dvd. Clippy dvd sounds so much more fun
It is!!!
One of my favorite gifts from my current Girlfriend was a blu-ray copy of “The Grudge” U.S version. An unsealed one goes for around $60-70. Considering there’s only Europeans copies of it for blu ray.
PS. Battle Royale is my favorite jelly you got that
Scooby Doo
“My last physical media update was an hour long” LIKE THATS A BAD THING?!
How have you not seen Cruel INTENTIONS? Hey on that train immediately!
Fragments of Horror is series of short stories. I love Junji Ito's works and you should give them a shot.
Wow you got some really great 👍🏻 gems 💎 there enjoy them some of them are hard to get and very expensive if you do find them
You know, you should try and hunt for some more Junji Ito's works! I got several of them (brazilian editions from like some decades ago), and they are freaking amazing! For real...
Cobra is about a cult and the main bad guy is called the night slasher. It’s a hybrid 80’s action movie and gets nowhere near enough love.
I love that you still buy DVDs and don't care. People out here like "oh blu ray and 4K 🧐" it's the art at the end of the day that matters and most of the time DVDs have the most features and cool packaging

Omg, Fragments of Horror is one of my favorite mangas 😍 I highly recommend Junji Ito's stuff, he's the master of Horror mangas 😈 Awesome haul!
I think she would love Ito's works.
We're like the nice part of the cult 😂 that was epic great intro
you need to watch both Cobra & Cyborg back to back badass!!! movies both are 80s classics...
Ninja 3: The Domination is so much fun! When you finally watch it you’ll never see V8 Juice the same… 😂
House 2 is awesome!!!! better then the 1st even....enjoy
Even better than Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter is Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter. You can't beat old Hammer (Hammy) Horror.
Dang, the box of stuff I sent must have arrived JUST too late for this vid 😆 After that giant box you opened, a few of mine are gonna be duplicates 😅
that's okay! Shoot me an email if you'd like them returned, otherwise they'll be great giveaway items!
@@HauntedHippie By all means give em away! There's some good stuff there, I bet people would be stoked to win it 🙂
whoa that's a pretty amazing haul Kylie ^_^ 👻🎃 I just started collecting Blu rays last year 😅 i have a small but humble collection lol.
"Battle Royale" is my absolute favorite Japanese movie of all time, and will always be better than "The Hunger Games", hands down.
Another interesting fact that it is Quentin Tarantino's favorite movie from 1992 to the present.💯👏🏻
Stranger Things! Love it 😀 😍
I was kinda expecting "If you want to join this cult you can't be wearing pants"

😅 oh my never seen Weird Science. An absolute Classic comedy Sci fi.....
That's once again another crap ton of physical media. Epictastically awesome update, Haunted Hippie.
Ninja 3 The Domination is really good Haunted Hippie.
My dear cult leader... thank you for another great video.
girl, guy, alien - the three genders
Love the Last Star Fighter! Kinda cheesy special effects but for its time its not bad. You'll recognize the lead actor from Halloween 2!
