- Welcome to my unboxing and first look at the Team Associated MT8 - the ultimate affordable basher for Christmas in the UK! I want to give a massive thanks to Modelsport UK for helping me with the purchase of this amazing MT8, as well as the cheeky service kit to keep this truck running smoothly.
I'm aware that some people have outlined issues with this truck, but I genuinely believe that it's the biggest bargain you can pick up here in the UK. In this video, I'll be showing you everything that comes in the box, as well as my initial impressions of the MT8.

Ignore negative comments. Arms are the weakest points. Other than that it ain’t bad. Diffs will need checking and thicker oil is better. It had a lot to live up to after the mt10.

Yeah as you say arms and turnbuckles are the weak spot but with some rpm goodness and tekno wizardry and some tuning before running you got a tough truck for not a lot of money 💰.
Plus you have the support of one of the largest manufacturers in the world .

Most people don't know these aren't even associated trucks
The mt10 is a helion avenge
The MT8 is an fs racing design
I love my mt8 even tho I just spent hours just to remove all screws tread lock and change front stering hubs to plastic ones for now I guess these model is good if you enjoy tinkering about like me if you upgrade it properly I think will be reliable 4 jumps i need fit 7075 hubs next aswell an i hope it will be reliable :)
I wish I had spent 300 on that instead of the 330 I spent on my big rock 3s
Hey buddy , it’s a very compelling buy isn’t it , but remember it’s all relative to time , sales and we’re your going to run them , this is a heavier truck that’s for sure and if you limited to space it might not be the right purchase.
Both are great buys . Although this you’re getting a lot more for the money .

Hi,I just got this truggy and the service pack came with and they're nit just replacement arms but kaiju style upgrades,lighter and have more flex amd the shocker savers will only fit in the new arms and see why they are needed after breaking my arm on the 1st full day,it save the screw head getting damaged and hindering removal haha

As you say I genuinely feel there isn’t anything on the market here in the Uk for the money and even if you do have to spend a little to make it that one step tougher still cheap as .
And prepared rc tends to break less also bud , if you put in the work before running and understand its weaknesses before hand you know how to run and what to look for.
And if your open eyed to what issues might happen and act on them your going to get hell of a bargain.

Go find another truck of this caliber for under £300 , You just wont simple ! , Cant even pick up a main brand 3s truck for this money .

Kaiju arms and its good to go
Well I did check on jennys for kaiju arms but unfortunately there out of stock right now so I’m opting for some RPM arms and tekno turnbuckles.
That should be more than enough for it I think .

Yes buddy sure is , but that’s a revised version with the Teal body , at the point of the video the price had come right down , was a simply awesome price of £299.

It's a shame it's not out of the box compatible with two batts. I have the FTX DR8 which is pricier but has that option - 2 x 6000mah 3S and it's a 60mph monster that lasts for hours. Still, this is lot cheaper and looks great
Hey buddy the DR8 is a awesome truck , but i got to be real with you i think this is a better option and i prefer the way it drives .
and so the cost you can pick up some awesome upgrades for it and still be under budget .

@ChriswithaCrc I had one, and it was like trying to handle glass on a rough road. It kept breaking. Worst team associated product I ever owned. Now I do love team associated. I own an rc10,t3,6.3,74.1,t6.1 and a pro4sc10. Love them all but not the mt8
