I wish someone make a good quality compilation of scenes with Simon in it. I mean, Anthony Lapalia really did deserve that award, he was hilarious in Frasier.
The best part is when Frasier is flirting with Daphne's friend and she ends up kissing Simon and Frasier yells out, "He's got a cold you know!" and storms out.
I love Frasier's reaction upon learning where Simon found his shorts at 0:30. As pretentious as Frasier can be, that would in fact be the same reaction I would have.
@@xanderharris1104 That's not a reunion just a dumb reboot without most of the original cast. They're talking about a real cast reunion with the remaining cast members together talking about their memories of the show and all that like Friends, Fresh Prince and Martin had.
A "cockney" accent second only to that of Dick Van Dyke. There was a reference to Simon's accent in one episode but it seemed more like a "Yeah, we know, but what can you do?" on behalf of the writers than an actual explanation.
I listened to this clip, again, after reading all the comments about the accent of the actor playing the Simon character--they're right! It was obviously a Cockney one he was attempting, though it should have been a Mancunian one, like his sister's (in reality, Leeves has a 'posh' accent). But even his Cockney one kept going off and on, but the producers probably felt a Cockney one most suited his slobbish character, though being oblivious to the discontinuity it created. It would've been interesting to get Leeves' take on it. Not to split hairs, but Leeves' Mancunian accent, for the Daphne character, is a bit caricatured and affected. I just listened to her speaking in her normal, 'posh' accent, in an interview, and it was weird, to say the least.
I remember a scene with Anthony where the actress who played Niles' second wife had to cover her mouth for most of his performance to hide her laughter. I guess the director figured no one would be looking a her so they didn't reshoot.
Accent aside, Anthony was genius in Frasier. I think we could have excused him using his native Aussie accent as the long lost brother who moved to Australia from England. Would have been still believable
Daphne's family were outright insufferable. They made the entire season kind of hard to watch. They weren't "funny annoying", they were just "annoying annoying".
Completely agree and I'm glad you added the end sentence because every time you say they were annoying people jump in with "bUt ThAtS wHaT mAdE tHeM fUnNy". Noooo. They weren't funny. Just annoying!
He was one of the best things about the show. ..I read that Anthony LaPaglia was really nervous coming in because he'd never played comedy before--but he sure nailed it !
I can't remember what the line was but basically they are trying to say he was the favourite brother "who's that then? I'm talking about you! That don't sound like me“
Frasier using the wall for some full body support just shows the genius actor this man is! Hilarious!!!
I wish someone make a good quality compilation of scenes with Simon in it. I mean, Anthony Lapalia really did deserve that award, he was hilarious in Frasier.
He’s from South Australia and I’m Aussie too and loved him in ‘without a trace’. He was brilliant in Frasier…Martin’s new Bestie 😂
Can't ever go wrong with Frasier and Simon together! 🤣🤪. Thanks for sharing! 💖

SImon: Don't forget to wake me for dinner. Daphne: I woke you for lunch didn't I? SO FUNNY!!!!
Simon was one of my favorites lol
He and Bulldog would've made a great dynamic duo 😂
We got a Friends reunion no one with brain cells left asked for.
Meanwhile this absolute legend of a show is left on the shelf.
How could there be a reunion without Mahoney or Moose?
They're bringing it back on Paramount!

And we got the reboot. And it's good.
I loved Simon. I wish we could
Have seen more of him. I would never have thought this actor was a Comedian, and a very good one too.
LaPaglia is hilarious! So I Married An Axe Murderer? His scene with Charles Grodin in particular is brilliant.
Merry Christmas and happy New year's to everybody
Ah wook ya fo loonch, didn’t aye!?
I loved Simon and the family, especially Daphne's mother.
simon a classic
Simon was really a replacement for Bulldog and he was pretty damn funny LOL
Doesn't anyone else find it grating that Simon is a cockney (ish) character when Daphne's family is from Manchester?

The whole Moon family has different accents among all of them 😂😂😂
That actor from australia
Who cares? He gives a hilarious performance!
@@yosefdemby8792 he's funny but his accent is literally from the other side of the country.

@@stockvaluedotcom Whoops. My bad.
Jack Malone
Classic simon moon. Wonder if they still have those boxers somewhere for sale. I collect the weirdest items from my t.v. and movie crushes

Are there any clips of Robbie coltrane in frasier

Agreed, I hated them
Totally disagree.

Did Simon say "Fuck" near the very end of the clip? I swear to God it sounded like that.
No.
Simon was underrated

No he wasn't! He was one of the best characters. Why is everybody underrated these days? Is it trendy to say that or something?
@@katiezee2 who?
His entrance in the finale has gotta be one of the best moments of the whole series lmao
this is why americans think we brits sound like this.
One of the best characters is Simon..
Question…if Simon’s from Manchester same as Daphne, why does he have a terrible Cockney accent? Continuity errors, people! 🤦♀️
Simon and all the English characters were the worst thing to happen to this show.
Andy Strang On the contrary, I found them to be HILARIOUS - especially Simon and Robbie Coltrane who could only mumble.
didn't find Simon especially funny but Daphne was great!
Simon was the the only one who was good. The rest were stupid
@Likes&Favorites He also doesn't talk like Daphne at all, onscreen. This brother and sister have completely different accents.
Agree..it didn't make any sense
Simon was the worst thing to happen to this perfectly great show. Hate hate Simon.
LOVE LOVE LOVE me some Simon.
I think you're in the minority there bud.
Great character, pathetic attempt at a(?) British accent.
I hated Simon as a character.
So why are you here?
How can anyone *not* like Simon? He was so funny!!
