I know the feeling! Started having issues with the old Kodiak years ago, not sure why exactly. Everything I touched was done correctly but a few belts and clutch parts later...
I use red loc tight .. an make shur your splines are all the way through the cam plate when you're tightening up that nut a lot of times the splines are not all the way in that cam plate in the nut can back off that way to
I have a grizzly with no problems from the belt system. But, this machine and all side by sides weight twice as much as a 4 wheeler. I'm about to pull the trigger on a new sXs and I had pretty much ruled out Honda and was going to get either a yamaha viking or kawasaki mule FXR or FXT. But I don't know, I know the Honda would never give me too much trouble and a CVT does not exist on Honda. People always point out gears on a Honda, but unless your and idiot and don't change the oil or don't put the oil in the chances of a gear failure are almost unheard of.
Honestly I love my Viking but if I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t buy it. It lacks a lot of power, is very noisy and hasn’t been all that reliable in the first 3500 Kms. The wolverines with the 850 would be a much better choice . So much better. If you go with Honda and can afford the extra , the 1000 pioneer again is so much better than the 700 in power delivery. Really it all depends on how your gonna use it . I used to think a 700 would be plenty but now after a couple years I’m just starving for more
@@dnksdad You know how you go to buy and think you know what you want until you get on the lot? LOL, we bought a Honda Talon 1000x! Got a 2019 model on sale with 32 inch tire and wheel package upgrade for $18,400. The Pioneer 5 was almost as much and we figured we'd have more fun on the talon so we just splurged and went for it!
Thanks for sharing man, I have been pretty particular about putting those on but now I'm starting to second-guess myself and want to tear it apart just to check, LOL. At any rate I subscribed to your channel man if you wouldn't mind come check out my videos on the Viking and maybe giving me a subscribe!

Are you sure it was not just you didn't get the washer around the splines when you tightened it? That is the #1 mistake on this
No I'm very sure the spacer was perfectly even with the nut all the way around. It was over the splines as well.
