- Meel, one of the tools used in the ancient sport of Zurkhaneh in Iran
"Pahlavani" redirects here. For the village in Iran, see Pahlavani, Iran.
Pahlevani and zourkhaneh rituals is the name inscribed by UNESCO for varzesh-e pahlavāni or varzesh-e bāstāni , a traditional system of athletics and a form of martial arts[2] originally used to train warriors in Iran (Persia), and first appearing under this name and form in the Safavid era, with similarities to systems in adjacent lands under other names.Outside Iran, zoorkhanehs can now also be found in Azerbaijan, and Afghanistan, and were introduced into Iraq in the mid-19th century by the Iranian immigrants, where they seem to have existed until the 1980s before disappearing. It combines martial arts, calisthenics, strength training and music. It contains elements of pre-Islamic and post-Islamic Persian culture (particularly Zoroastrianism, Mithraism and Gnosticism) with the spirituality of Persian Shia Islam and Sufism. Practiced in a domed structure called the zurkhāneh, training sessions consist mainly of ritual gymnastic movements and climax with the core of combat practice, a form of submission-grappling called koshti pahlavāni.

@@projobs2157 🤣🤣🤣 oh I see come to India we will show u how many types to swing the Mugdar/meel , Son play with it ur forefathers we’re Indian only bless u 😊
Pahlwan comes from Pahlevan from ancient Persia and it means "Hero" or someone that is more than an Athlete and has a code of honor and what not.
The meels were created along with a series of other tools for Pahlvani sport and this sport was actually the warrior's training back in the day, it was functional with focus on movements a warrior needed to build strength for on the field.
How long do you let the logs cure before turning?
Give that man a respirator.
بسیارعالی
I was a player in this game and so were my friends
Thanks
Only if you are from Iran or India...Arab countries don´t have this kind of sport.

Trying to learn meels. Not easy😅
I don't know why this is called persian mills? This are Mugdars... there are huge number of evidence and detailed videos in UA-cam... of its origination from the culture of Sanatan Dharma... and from the land of Bharat... all our Prominent deities like Yamraj, Bajrangbali... and Supreme deities like Narayan all have Gada as a weapon(a variant of clubs or mugdar)... which is clearly depicted in our scriptures too!
iron sheik rip
Very good game i like you and your game from Pakistan ❤i love you irani all Muslims
Yahi karte raho
Irani bhik nahi maangte tumhare PM k tarah.
AKHAND Bharat.
Everything copied from Bharath
It's Orgins From Iran And Has more than 1500 years History!!! And Written in Shahname Book
@@anubhavrai8605 dont forget Persia had a lot of influence on the neighboring countries including India and there are many words in Indian language that trace back to Persian. Using Meels as a form of physical conditioning was originated in Persia and it came as part of a series of tools, not just the meels and has a whole sport built around it. Meels is just one aspect of it.
@@The20ali20 THE NAME PERSIA ITSELF IS FROM A PERSUYA CLAN... THE AXE CLAN... IN SANSKRIT!!! Some one can write similar thing in a book in persian... but, that means nothing!!! For example... I learn Shaolin from Chinese people... and then after I learned it... I write a book claiming Shaolin is from Bharat(or India) and not from China... THAT MEANS ANYTHING? That is clear lie!!! You should also see how Africans are claiming Yoga is from Africa and not from Bharat... BUT, EVEN THE WESTERNS KNOW WHATS THE TRUTH!!!
