The Steps of Building a SANTUR | Traditional and Iranian music instrument
The steps of making a santor
How is a santor made?
Santur is an original Iranian musical instrument of Iranian trapezium-shaped instruments that has many strings and is played with two wooden sticks (muzrab). The most common type of dulcimer (9 strings) has 72 strings, which are divided into 4 groups and 18 groups.
Based on surveys and research, the santoor is considered one of the oldest instruments in Iran; The oldest surviving sign of this instrument is from Assyrian and Babylonian stone carvings (559 BC). In these stone carvings, the ceremonial line erected to honor Ashur Banipal, an instrument that is very similar to the handmade dulcimer, can be seen in the middle of that line.
The santoor is a completely Iranian instrument, which some attribute its creation to Abu Nasr Farabi, which, like the borbat, another Iranian instrument, was later exported.

How to make "The Meel" the equipment used in Iran's thousands-year-old Pahlevani sports
Meel, one of the tools used in the ancient sport of Zurkhaneh in Iran "Pahlavani" redirects here. For the village in Iran, see Pahlavani, Iran. Pahlevani and zourkhaneh rituals is the name inscribed by UNESCO for varzesh-e pahlavāni or varzesh-e bāstāni , a traditional system of athletics and a form of martial arts[2] originally used to train warriors in Iran (Persia), and first appearing under...
I don't know why this is called persian mills? This are Mugdars... there are huge number of evidence and detailed videos in UA-cam... of its origination from the culture of Sanatan Dharma... and from the land of Bharat... all our Prominent deities like Yamraj, Bajrangbali... and Supreme deities like Narayan all have Gada as a weapon(a variant of clubs or mugdar)... which is clearly depicted in our scriptures too!
Stupidity has no limits here!
Do you soak the rotan in water before wrapping?
This didn't tell me anything specific on how to make a Ney.
Wow, Amazing!

This musical instrument is originally a musical instrument from India - after the Muslim conquest of India, the musical instrument arrived together with the Muslim conquest also in Iran and the musical instrument was adopted by the Persians. This musical instrument is still used in India! The Greek lyre and the biblical harp from the Land of Israel, developed without any relation to each other. They originated from the single stringed instrument that the shepherds played when they were alone in the field with the flocks. The Muslim conquest brought the treasures of India including the cuisine and foods to the Middle East - almost everything we encounter in the Middle East originates in India and comes with the Muslim conquest of the Middle East.
👄👁️👁️🗨️❣️😍

everybody's got a laser cutter.
How long do you let the logs cure before turning?
Give that man a respirator.

Nice work i love the sound. Any advice on how to calculate hole distance for different bore sizes?
AKHAND Bharat.
Everything copied from Bharath
It's Orgins From Iran And Has more than 1500 years History!!! And Written in Shahname Book
@@anubhavrai8605 dont forget Persia had a lot of influence on the neighboring countries including India and there are many words in Indian language that trace back to Persian. Using Meels as a form of physical conditioning was originated in Persia and it came as part of a series of tools, not just the meels and has a whole sport built around it. Meels is just one aspect of it.
@@The20ali20 THE NAME PERSIA ITSELF IS FROM A PERSUYA CLAN... THE AXE CLAN... IN SANSKRIT!!! Some one can write similar thing in a book in persian... but, that means nothing!!! For example... I learn Shaolin from Chinese people... and then after I learned it... I write a book claiming Shaolin is from Bharat(or India) and not from China... THAT MEANS ANYTHING? That is clear lie!!! You should also see how Africans are claiming Yoga is from Africa and not from Bharat... BUT, EVEN THE WESTERNS KNOW WHATS THE TRUTH!!!
👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Thanks for you درود بر استاد

Well done but u r. Not showing clearly how u make the mouthpiece
I'd love to hear a Ney without any reverb or effects. I've had a few Neys, and have come to the conclusion I can't get a sound that's anything like all the recordings I see on UA-cam. It's probably that I'm playing it wrong, but I'd like to hear a Ney on its own, at least to prove to myself that it's possible to achieve these beautiful sounds without any electronics being involved.
Hi. In below video, my Ney teacher is playing and there is no any reverb, effect, etc. That is pure natural Ney sound. Enjoy it! ua-cam.com/video/V_SJzWEOlq4/v-deo.html
Spend at least a couple of months playing for 10-15 minutes daily and you'll get the result
@@duduk_il Thanks for the advice. I can play a Shakuhachi flute. It's similar to the Ney, in that it's a tube with no mouthpiece to speak of, and I can sort of cheat with the Ney, by using the same technique as the Shakuhachi, but it doesn't produce that haunting quality of the proper technique. I guess practice practice practice 👍
@@jeffreybarton1297 If you play shakuhachi (which seems to me the most hard-to-play flute in the world!) you know everything about the importance of the practice :-)
@@duduk_il I think I must've had an affinity for it. For a brief period my Brother was making Shakuhachi flutes and selling them on eBay. I already had one from a different maker. My Brother's flutes were harder, as he wasn't a professional maker, but I got the hang of it. Love your channel. You play the Ney and Duduk brilliantly! I tried a Duduk years ago, and nearly burst a blood vessel 😀
Marvelous! So talented.
Hey it is called as mudgar in India it is used for making shoulder Powerful and nowadays it is used by pehlwans (Indian wrestlers)
😅😅ye log bharat se hi sheekh or leke Gaye hai 😊
with this difference that Indians have no clue how to use them. This goes back thousand years of sport in Iran
Yes that's right. It was also in ancient Iran.
@@projobs2157 🤣🤣🤣 oh I see come to India we will show u how many types to swing the Mugdar/meel , Son play with it ur forefathers we’re Indian only bless u 😊
Pahlwan comes from Pahlevan from ancient Persia and it means "Hero" or someone that is more than an Athlete and has a code of honor and what not. The meels were created along with a series of other tools for Pahlvani sport and this sport was actually the warrior's training back in the day, it was functional with focus on movements a warrior needed to build strength for on the field.
Fascinating..never seen this before, I love it!
Ever hear of the “Iron Sheik”? A big deal in wrestling and he had these clubs way back when
Yes that's right. It was in ancient Iran.
In south India it's called karlakattai
thanks
I was a player in this game and so were my friends
Thanks
Only if you are from Iran or India...Arab countries don´t have this kind of sport.
