You are the frist person who give an explanation slowly, clear...thanks, i can try to start to use mine. Now i need to found the best configuration for "NO LATENCE" my launch pad is direct connected on my computer but not perfect.
I know Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my password. I love any assistance you can give me.
That record button being available in note mode is very useful. I have a (barely working) launchpad mk2, and there isn't a stop-record button, you have to really quickly switch back to session view and tap the correct clip, which usually means you have a bar or two of empty space at the empty of the clip.
Thanks for explaining your process. I just bought a launchpad and am trying to figure out how to use it for live performance, so this was really helpful
Nice Guide. Last firmware update you were able to add custom keyboard shortcuts to pads. I was able to create a custom instrument and map a shortcut to "left" and "right" arrows and also create a session record button. Also creating a text file to auto enable record arm when track is selected with the arrows.
Great video. I have a couple of questions: 1. Is it possible to overdub an instrument or drums in a second take ? 2. Is it possible to duplicate into a different scene?
Think this more of a clip loop right? Since using Ableton clips for looping? I use it the same way, since I have Ableton life back no looper plug in, find there’s lot of people work flow missing but I guess the journey is part of the fun:) If anyone has good alternatives to clip looping, without having an Ableton or paid for looper I’d be all ears! :) Thanks for the video bud!
Thanks for the video, tell me how you can I record a certain number of patterns and stop recording without pressing the stop button when playing the guitar for example when your hands are busy
hi Viktor. I have a very simple question. when ı do everything you show, it works perfectly but when ı try to listen to it or try to get it exported for the video, it only comes up with everything playing at the same time. So how can i record the complete session the way i play with the timings and everything and not get all of them layed out all together?
Hi Daniel! Unfortunately Launchpad X has no port for the foot pedal. As a workaround, you could have another device with such port connected at the same time. Then you can map anything to the pedal - capture midi, session record etc. I've just uploaded a tutorial with such foot pedal setup ua-cam.com/video/tiPmt9pbaOo/v-deo.html
My ableton starts recording as soon as i click capture midi or red pad in column that is selected/armed. Even when i set count in to 1 or 2 bars prior to recording. But when i press record button in ableton, it does count in regularly. Can you help me with this? Thanks.
I have a question, the launchpad x does not have an undo button, are you familiar with anyway to set a midi macro to this DAW for Windows? What do you do, besides interacting with the computer itself to work around this? I've also heard of people using footpedals to record/undo, any insights?
Did you find any answer to this? I don’t understand why this isn’t basic functionality, it makes me think my workflow of wanting to undo and re-record when I make a mistake is wrong. That said, I assume it would be programmable in the custom bank?
Thank you! As I see it, the most difficult part in drumming is an ability to play with both hands simultaneously. It can be challenging in the beginning. But good news here is that you can actually practice it any time like playing on the table while sitting at your desk or even tapping on your legs while in transport. Main goal is to teach you brain to process each hand separately. The very basic exercise would be: right hand - hihats, left hand - kick-snare-kick-snare (where you play each kick and each snare every 2 hihats).
I swear just from watching his energy from his intro i COULD TELL this video has very very little views - You can just tell by the way he is shy and a bit not comfortable that he is a new youtuber. As soon as i heard him in the first 6 seconds i said this video has to be under 30k views and I was right! Goes to show you how like you need ENERGY and really PROJECT to the camera to make it! but keep goin and take this as positive feedback

Excelent tutorial! , clear and simple!
So cool. Love your videos! Curious how people get so good at finger drumming. Any advice for a beginner with no drumming experience?
