    Unfun fact: A German soldier in WWII actually had something very similar to the piano fate after being captured by Russian soldiers. He got to live so long as he kept playing the piano. He played for the rest of his life (22 hours straight). After he collapsed from exhaustion he was congradulated, then promptly lethally shot as promised.
    Unfun fact 2: Turning into living statues is arguably realistic via "Stone man syndrome." This genetic condition causes the body to heal damage with bone as opposed to the proper soft tissue. As a result, joints become immobile as bones fuse and bridge together. Removal of the bone growths just leads to a larger one taking its place as the surgical wound heals. Late in the condition, sufferers have to decide which position they want to be stuck in for the rest of their lives.
    Unfun fact 3: This is a bit of a reach, but "locked in syndrome" is a bit close to the void fate. This condition outwardly presents like a coma, but sufferers are fully conscious and aware of their surroundings. They are even able to form long-term memories, but unable to communicate or move (they can apparently move their eyes up and down, but that's it).

The episode is about a chemical that mutated people and makes sharks Megolodon size (don't know why the shark wasn't the big bad), while the book was about mermaids and trying to protect them. Also in the book It Came From Beneath The Sink, Kat kills the grool by giving it love and found the laynx in the same place and way she found the grool. Also she almost got hit by a truck. And the grool changed color and had no mouth.

    There was a goosebumps book that I feel like is underrated. I can't remember the name of it but it's about two kids who stay with their grandparents while their parents are on a work trip. They accidentally let out the monster that the grandparents trapped. But what's crazy is how the grandparents straight up ABANDONS the kids in the house WITH the monster still inside, KNEW there were more monsters, and planned on NOT TELLING ANYONE that the kids were trapped in the house. It ends with the kids trying to figure out how to leave despite the monsters now surrounding the house. I'm surprised it wasn't made into an episode. But then again, the book was messed up so maybe it's better it WASN'T shown on tv😅

    • @bizzaroblake2519
      @bizzaroblake2519 10 місяців тому +7

      How to kill a monster was the story you're thinking of. And here's the thing. They warn the kids not to open the door with the monster inside it, they leave a note on the back of their first note explaining everything and are sorry they didn't tell them sooner and more importantly not to leave the house to go in the swamp to find the grandparents as the house is the only safe place from the monsters in the swamp. The monster that was in the house was deathly allergic to humans but we can't assume the others are too. Then the siblings are trapped in the swamp while we are unsure if they get out of the swamp back to the house or the monsters get them. Only thing we know Is the monsters start waking up soon by the time they realize the danger they put themselves in since they didn't turn over the note in the house.

    I watched the first two episodes of the new Goosebumps series on Disney+ and couldn't keep going. I don't know what the hell I watched, but it was not Goosebumps. It was some weird wanna CW-esque high school drama that's trying to be a Stephen King like story with a sprinkle of iconic Goosebumps McGuffins used loosely to tie the story together. Goosebumps was always focused around kids, with the added element that their parents wouldn't believe them if they told them. But here; we're dealing with teenagers about to graduate, and the parents are in on some deep conspiracy? Did the writers even read any of the Goosebumps books?
    The Haunted Mask, which was the second episode felt like a betrayal of the source material. Whatever that thing was, it wasn't the iconic unloved face that made it's titular book so incredible. Since when does the haunted mask turn you into a blood hungry monster?

    I grew up with the Goosebumps books. I think I had them ever since I was 8. I don’t have any now but I still really love the series. I didn’t actually discover the tv series until I was 13 when I had Netflix on my XBox 360. I really love the show as well. I wonder why the first “Night Of the Living Dummy” wasn’t adapted into a tv episode. Does anyone know why not?

    I saw the first 5 episodes of the reboot, and I loved it, I thought it was gonna be something like the 2015 movie, and it wasn't, thank goodness, I still love the 90s series, anyway, I think being trapped in the haunted house with a couple of ghosts is a fate well deserved, those kids got what they deserved for putting Chris through that, i would've done the same thing!

      Meh I wished they followed the books more. The old tv show didn’t adapt all the books so they shouldve done some of those. Being darker, more violent is fine though

    Even before the incidents with the ultimate control device, Seth still comes off as kind of a self-absorbed jerk. But still why don't the parents have their daughter move her dancing and music to the back yard where there should be more than plenty of room to tap dance where her dance music wouldn't have to compete with the sound on the tv? After all she should be old enough to be taught her limits and boundaries.

    The plant clone one was a rare case in which the show makers had it end just like the ending of the book. 4:00 An FYI too, that book was originally about sea life getting mutated into gargantuan sizes.

    Let’s be honest: Tara being erased from existence is a BLESSING. Who knows what that brat would’ve grown up to become? Either a serial killer or a toxic wife like Amber Heard, who’d also frame her husband for domestic abuse, but unlike Heard, would actually get away with it.

      @@bigblujay9729 On the contrary, she deliberately sabotaged her older brother’s birthday by opening his presents, revealing to the girl he loved he had a secret crush on her and making him trip and fall on his cake (and in the book, scratching his bike, letting the girl he had a crush on into his bedroom while getting changed into his costume for a play he was in and exposing him in his underwear and put a jerkish jock’s baseball cap in his backpack leading him to be accused of stealing said cap and unnecessarily beat up by said jock) and getting him in trouble with their parents and making her look innocent and her brother the bad sibling. So, yes, she DID deserve to be erased from existence given how psychopathic she was in tormenting his brother to the point of making his life a misery and not even EVER feeling any remorse or having second thoughts.

    Night of the living dummy gave me pediophobia. Hey this plot you describe for night of the living dummy 3 was different in the books. The ending was that Slappy was attacked by the other dummies in the house. The other dummies didn't like how slappy abused them, The kids in an attempt to render slappy inert again Read the slip of paper with the spell that brought him to life. He was in the room with the other dummies when they read it, he laughed at them because he knew that they thought it would break the spell that brought him to life and made him their master made them his slave. Instead the spell woke up the other dummies. I read the stories in attempt to make sure that I could try and overcome the phobia. It was partially successful. So if Jeff Dunham actually had me in a show any attempted to have one of his dolls scare me, I would probably end up damaging the doll. Not out of malice but because it scared me.

    Uh, Carlybeth threw her whole stack of 30 bucks at the shopkeeper, so she Did buy the Haunted mask, she only ran from the shopkeeper so that he couldn't go back on the deal and stop her from making the big mistake she nearly makes later on. Steve Boswell was the one who stole HIS 'Old man' Haunted Mask from the store in "The Haunted Mask II (pt. 1)" even if the shop was out of business in the old show; but he did full-on shoplift the Old Man Haunted Mask from the "IN-Business" Novelty Shop in the book though.
