This was very similar to my dad’s one, his was a 98 SVR that had never been raced so converted to a hybrid spec between SVR and SV to get it sold as the race series was scrapped. Shame I was too young to drive it before he sold it. And out of all the cars I’ve been in this one got my heart beating the fastest. Good video, unlucky with the rain
Yes, Sam! Best video you have made for a while! Epic trip in an epic car. Some incredible cinematography shots (especially in the rain) of the car to great music. This feels like an old-school STG. 👏👏👏
Fantastic upload, this one of the reasons why I think this is one of the best automotive channels; the cars you share with viewers are always special; great work Sam.

Thanks for that bit in the middle where you didn't talk. Funny so many videos I hear them say how lovely the engine sounds but then talk right through it or play endless loud music. You know what you're doing and it's awesome. Thanks for this one.
NGL the thumbnail the car looks like a body kit. What a rare car. Its crazy they let you drive it so far. This is wonderful! john from curated would be happy.
You are a true gem and a content creator with special filming abilities i am missed your videos form some reasons i can't watch but i am back and i love your videos i am trying to watch where i left thanks you❤
Timeless design, just impeccable. This design still being used by Lambo today. Two vents on the front, three on the side and two in the back. Ohh those roof scoopes are uncontested
Love the raw driving segments! Really felt like you were pushing the limits of traction on the wet backroads. I didn't know I needed a Diablo SV-R, until now...
I love roadtrips. While the weather wasn’t great it looks like you still had a great time. I agree with you about driving cars versus letting them sit, but to each their own.
NFS Hot Pursuit 3 was when I was first introduced to the SV as a kid, and I must say I was smitten 😅😂 This vid with that sonoarus V12 hum was my happy-medicine for today, bringing out so much nostalgia seeing that familiar cockpit & similar silhouette, ty for your diligent quality content (and good audio too), great commentary, shots, and footage! ❤👌👏
Fabulous experience. Thanks for taking us along. The Diablo is one of the best looking Lambos IMHO. When I saw one in the wild, I was amazed at how small it was. Not a comfortable car, but one that looks and sounds great. Would not be my choice as my only exotic, but a great experience to sample for a day.
very enjoyable and somewhat stressful watching this car on beautiful back roads in the rain 😅 … lovely video and vehicle, thank you for sharing this with us 🎉
...terrible seating position, poor instrument visibility, awful side and rear visibility, prone to setting on fire, guzzling gas like it's going out of fashion etc. etc.. 😂 other than that they're great!
@@ThatChrisGuy that may have just been the SVR that he drove but Diablos in general don’t suffer from any of those issues that you mentioned. Superb driving position, decent visibility, definitely not prone to setting on fire and actually not too bad on fuel believe it or not (my Impreza was worse). I drove mine daily
I haven't really appreciated the Diablo until I saw a SE30 from Spain in Monterey this year and now I'm obsessed with these cars lol; which is strange since I've ridden in a Diablo SV a while ago and didn't think anything of it until now. Always awesome vids, Sam!
Fair play Sam, that car in those conditions and still having the minerals to tickle it a bit 👏. Although I must say some of those mid corner gear shifts lead me to believe you may have taken a few liberties once you felt comfortable with it and I must say I'm all for it 🤣👍🏻
Sam is the reason that you don’t like driving through Belgium is because they seem to drive right up your bottom and just pull out on you as well . great video what a cool car.
Awesome video. I actually have had the pleasure of driving an SVR (serial number 02, the car of P. Charriol) in race trim on track. It truly is an amazing car❤
I really hope you get to do a trip in that SE30 Jota as well (or even "just" the normal, purple SE30...what a colour that is!). Great video, wished it would keep on going!
back in the mid 90s my old ford escort did the half tank to zero thing it needed a new pump tank which had the float sensor in it but never did anything about it lol
Thanks for cataloguing another epic adventure! Quick constructive criticism, your voiceover on top of the Diablo GTR shots was a bit hard to hear...a little muffled and you spoke too quickly. Still one of the best at your craft. I hope you never stop OR you join the Grand Tour
I’ve never been on a race track in the wet to see just how far tyres 🛞 can be pushed on a very wet surface. Your doing well, ok I drive a bit like a nun but I’d be half your speed on that twisty road 😮 but still loving life as you say.

You should email Sam. If your dad is open to it, it sounds like it would be an awesome video to see his collection.
@007knick he says his dad sold it tho 😂

Thanks a ton!

@@seenthroughglass You're welcome.
I own a cobalt grey Diablo SV. Fully sorted and lovely to drive.
They are wonderful cars
I know these videos with older cars usually don't do very well, but I really enjoyed it! The POV was very nice!
Thanks for that bit in the middle where you didn't talk. Funny so many videos I hear them say how lovely the engine sounds but then talk right through it or play endless loud music. You know what you're doing and it's awesome. Thanks for this one.
That brought back many happy memories of my friend's Blu Scuro Diablo SV which he bought new. What a machine 🙂
Very cool!

That diffuser 🫠
I would of kept that off and kept it like the gtr
This is so incredibly cool, couldn’t quite believe the title when it came up in my notifications! Definitely more of this Sam 👏
Thank you! Will do!
When the back end lets go it doesn’t give you a warning. Drive in the rain like that on the back roads had me on the edge of my seat.
Another great video. Not predictable, authentic, great cinematography, has a story, not contrived….. thanks Sam!
Sam - loved this! These road trips in unusual cars are what I love to see you do.
Great camera angles Sam! Not knowing how much grip you have in the wet makes it quite intense!!!
Timeless design, just impeccable. This design still being used by Lambo today. Two vents on the front, three on the side and two in the back. Ohh those roof scoopes are uncontested
Mr Paul Wallace must be sooooooo jealous right now. Always loved the Diablo. This and the Mercie are the sweet spot
Oh yes. An alalogue manual Lambo. I hate to think of the modern day price but I'm glad Sam got to drive it. Thanks for posting. Nice vid.
Wow! An SVR! Insane experine Sam! One of my dream cars
Great car.
Magnificent camera positioning. One of your best videos ever.
Love the road trips.👍👍👍!
Absolutely Bloody Wonderful..Really enjoyed this one thanks Sam 👍
Just sat down with a cup of tea, perfect.
The guys seem like a couple of great lads👌🏼great content as always Sam
Love the raw driving segments! Really felt like you were pushing the limits of traction on the wet backroads. I didn't know I needed a Diablo SV-R, until now...
Great video Sam, the background music is spot on as usual, I keep using Shazam nonstop.

What a great episode❤ thank you so much! This is a seriously spectacular car 😊

I love that it has a similar livery to the launch colour of the 997 911 GT3 RS, such a throwback.
What a great video this is, giving very top gear vibes. That company are legends for letting you do this
I always love the roadtrip content and B roll.
Nice video. 😎
The Diablo is my favorite car in the world. I use to own a VT from 08 to 2012 and really enjoyed it. Very easy and nice to drive
And they steam up very badly in the rain
...terrible seating position, poor instrument visibility, awful side and rear visibility, prone to setting on fire, guzzling gas like it's going out of fashion etc. etc.. 😂 other than that they're great!

What a stunning piece of automotive content. ❤
What a dream! Congrats Sam
The wiper is hilarious. You have balls driving that in the rain with any speed.
I did a road trip with them 2 lovely guys this year back to Italy
Took 28 Diablos over 2500 miles so much fun
I haven't really appreciated the Diablo until I saw a SE30 from Spain in Monterey this year and now I'm obsessed with these cars lol; which is strange since I've ridden in a Diablo SV a while ago and didn't think anything of it until now. Always awesome vids, Sam!
Great car that rear wing and diffusor are freakin insane man !
You get a lot of attention riding around with this thing that's for sure .
Epic video and epic experience!!
Best video yet!
You’re living our dreams Sam!
This car looks horrendous! But an incredible road trip! Shot so well as always!
The jota is something special. You could do a whole video on that. See we are curated on the jota. Awesome 👌
Perfect drive, Sam. 🧡
Love the throwback pov shots. What a car!
This YT channel is a gem ❤💎
Fair play Sam, that car in those conditions and still having the minerals to tickle it a bit 👏. Although I must say some of those mid corner gear shifts lead me to believe you may have taken a few liberties once you felt comfortable with it and I must say I'm all for it 🤣👍🏻
Seen Through Glass at its best. The age of peak raw Lambo. Love these sorts of videos…but where’s the coffee?
Sam is the reason that you don’t like driving through Belgium is because they seem to drive right up your bottom and just pull out on you as well . great video what a cool car.
Love the POV driving, great video Sam. Keep them coming
Wow!
What great surprise vid thanks Sam
I saw this exact car drive through high Wycombe last week at 9am ! Got it on video.
Epic, nicely done Sam👍
Great content as always Sam! 👏🏻
Wish you had interviewed these two cool guys for longer, you really should invite them to the BTG podcast!
One criticism, those guys at the end spitting passion & you cut them off?? That was gold…then you dipped
Woooowww, great video, Sam😍😍
Such great stuff, thank you!
I think you really enjoyed this road-trip❤❤
🎉❤ Sunday Video!!! Good start to the day
Would be great to see you put on a pre 2000’s STG tour next year. A possible run out to Le Mans classic
Diablo sv gives me nfs 3 vibes. Every time
Great video. Really enjoyed it.
I've just watched you driving that Lamborghini svr my heart was in my mouth when you were driving wow you are some driver
Awesome video. I actually have had the pleasure of driving an SVR (serial number 02, the car of P. Charriol) in race trim on track. It truly is an amazing car❤
I can't imagine the joy and orgasm you had 😅...

Loved this video. Loved it loved it loved it ❤❤❤❤
What a Hero!
What a cool experience!
I was nervous just watching you drive this in the rain, lol. Glad you made it
Great work mate, keep it up 💪
15 mins into the video and no mention of coffee. A 90's Lamborghini racing car was caffeine enough I suppose
I really hope you get to do a trip in that SE30 Jota as well (or even "just" the normal, purple SE30...what a colour that is!). Great video, wished it would keep on going!
Love the longer video. Hope that the videos from BTG tours would be like 1hr.
The diablo GT, in particular, has to be one of the all time best looking cars.
Superb video Sam. What a fantastic car 🙄
Glad to see you guys , saw your shop on Jp performance channel
Ever since that Harry's garage video, the diablo I want is an early rear wheel drive one
You need a Lambo. You have the scud and the GT3, both amazing cars. But a Lambo would be the icing on the cake.
Great video and great words to live by at the end . Why we keep coming back every Sunday
This is gonna be amazing. Gotta get myself a coffee and a snack
The SVJ before the SVJ🔥
STG coffee time...awesome 😊
So brave to drive it hard in the rain
back in the mid 90s my old ford escort did the half tank to zero thing it needed a new pump tank which had the float sensor in it but never did anything about it lol
“This could be an absolute death sentence” 😂 brilliant
This is Diablo heaven
Thanks for cataloguing another epic adventure!
Quick constructive criticism, your voiceover on top of the Diablo GTR shots was a bit hard to hear...a little muffled and you spoke too quickly.
Still one of the best at your craft. I hope you never stop OR you join the Grand Tour
Glad to know that the Diablo SVR’s V12 is marginally better in highway MPG than the 5.9 V8 in my 1997 Dodge Ram 😂
I’ve never been on a race track in the wet to see just how far tyres 🛞 can be pushed on a very wet surface. Your doing well, ok I drive a bit like a nun but I’d be half your speed on that twisty road 😮 but still loving life as you say.
Great video!
Funny that it has the same fuelcap as my 2015 Triumph Speed Triple motorcycle. 😅
Anyway.. awesome car and insane experience once again!
I never thought I’ll see Sam doing a roadtrip in a Lambo let alone a race version of one 😂
Woah this is sick
finally i awarded you with my subscription.. ...
The yellow Diablo SV at 1minute 17sec belongs to youtuber jango's garage broken dreams. Thats an awesome car.
My friend had a original SE30 Jota in purple 👍
Driving that onto the train looked intimidating! 🤣
OMG Diablo heaven 😮
