I'd collect the dust from stripe like he suggested and have it glazed into something cool... have an epoxy set of shift paddles made with the dust in it !!
The fact that you're going with what you want with no consideration to resale value really speaks to my heart. You're living your dream, not worried about making a buck from the car. Please cover the paint process including the cost. I've been considering getting my car painted and I'm sure that your experience would be very helpful.
I actually liked how the stripe looked on your choice of red..but it's your car 😁 blaupunkt has a great new retro looking radio with all kinds of inputs. cant wait to see more videos like this :)
Love the color, good to get rid of the stripe. Not sure about blue interior, I think a tan goes better with the barchetta. Sure it’s not loud but it will look great.
From wrapping a red F-Type red to painting a red Ferrari red! I can’t wait to see how this one comes out! Would love to see a tan colour on the interior- would go lovely with Rosso Barchetta!
I’d say the interior would look fantastic in a caramel/tan with that darker red exterior. BMW had a color that seems would be appropriate on this car called “Modena”
I liked the middle colour choice but that red you have chosen will make the CS look amazing.def go for leather for the interior. But what ever you choose the interior will be your interior.looking forward to some more of this refresh journey.🔥🔥🔥
The OE CS stripe stickers are probably really hard to get hold of. Ratatossa explained the process while doing a CS Spider build. The stripe is a sticker applied after paint, but under the lacquer.
Nailed the color Sam, but missed on your opinion of keeping the factory painted stripe. It would be a nice nod to keep the painted stripe and to the cars history of having a rare option like the painted stripe. Of course, just my opinion✌️
Rosso Barchetta with no stripe is a fantastic choice, it's going to look amazing. I'd personally stick with alcantara for the interior as I think leather looks a bit too elegant for the VS cars, or not "race car" enough if you will, but either way as long as you don't go full black it's going to be a win imho. Can't wait to see the final result!
Nice Riva Yacht model at 11:39, I have two of these! (models not real yacht) PS the stripe on the CS was not painted from factory, it was a vinyl stripe laid under the lacquer.
This is awesome. Admittedly I wasn't very fond of the spec of the car, but happy you've landed your dream car! Now that you're getting it painted and re-trimmed, I'm excited to see the final result! Staying tuned!
I love the joy that the process gives you (and your audience). A perfect illustration of why we love these cars. Looking forward to seeing the final reveal and the mega road trip you hopefully have planned... (2025 needs a proper road trip, not just a 3 day jaunt)
Wasn't sure on the change from factory but the dark blue historic interior will look amazing with the new deeper red. Going through the same journey as you as I bought my "dream car" around the same time you announced this-in my case a 996.2 GT3 Clubsport. The interior is in pieces as we speak!
TdF blue would be the colour for me but I’m sure it’ll look awesome once finished. No stripe is a bold choice but again I have a feeling you’ll be proved right. Especially as the red in the stripe would clash with the Rosso Barchetta. Looking forward to the next update👍🏻
i'm usually not one for bright and saturated reds but i do think the current colour suits your car (with those wheels and the stripe) so so well. i mean, c'mon: 16:08 - this is just one of the coolest looking sports cars ever. but if you go rosso barchetta it neeeeeds a tan interior 🤩
When you were introducing the idea for a new paint colour, with the Porsche next to your Ferrari, that is what I thought you were going to go for. I persoanlly think your CS would look great in that green, however, if Will and Ashleigh couldn't sway you into that colour, who could, and they know what they're talking about, and it's your car. As I get older I keep looking at cars with unusual colours and liking them. Although my Kia Niro is not what anyone would call exciting white with gloss black inserts here and there, with some discreet orange areas and, I would go with a wrap. Nice choice Sam, it will suit it really well.
I've enjoyed each and every video made about your historic Ferrari experiences, since the first car ownership. If it were other similar owners, they would simply have the ability to do everything without any restrictions. Whereas, you're showing your experiences that is more attuned to realistic owners that don't have unlimited funding. You should remake the entire interior in the camel or tan leather.
Amazing, Sam! The Barcheta Rosso/Red is such a cool colour!! I’m a huge fan of historic non metallic “liveries” 👍🏼👍🏼 Many update videos would be sweet!
No stripe is absolutely the right move, I always though they looked kind of dorky on CS's. That paint colour is going to look fantastic! A brown or even colour-matched darker red interior would look really neat, but the navy blue is a cool idea too. Maybe some tweed or corduroy like the Porsche Classic/Singer interiors? Either way it's cool to someone actually changing a 360CS around from stock.
It’s nice just having an honest and brilliant workshop looking after the Car. Finding the right people is half the battle to keep these on the road. So when Sam sells this on and he will ( I know it’s down as a ever Car” but we will see. It will be in fantastic shape and having I all documented and on clips must add to the value.
I’d have chosen Fiorano, no stripe but credit to you Sam for choosing something very unique and personal to your taste. I think over time examples without the stripe look more classy. It will look fantastic I’m sure.
Always do an oil change before winter, leaving old oil in can be hard on seals and various metals due to contaminants which make the oil acidic etc. You can do a check over pre use in the spring then.
I’ve always preferred Stradale’s with no stripe. Car looks wider to me and I’ve always felt the stock stripe was a little on the chunky side. Very excited, Sam!
Love the CS content. Congrats on building out the car the way you like. For what it’s worth, against the colour you’ve chosen I’d go light grey/silver interior(the 959 silver leather sprang to mind). Look forward to seeing your end result.
I am so happy for you that you're getting your dream spec! I recently sold my GTI for another same shape GTI but the spec on the new car is perfect. My old car wasn't exactly what I wanted and I'm surprised how much a few trim options and paint color change how I feel about the car. Looking forward to the final product!
Great color choice, love you choose your personal dream spec over resell value. Interior choice is going to be interesting as well. There is a classic darker blue tint that could work to keep it more on the race spec side but since you will be using it as a road car I would think a bit more road spec interior would be great as well. On that side I would spec a Heritage Mahogany Reddish Brown leather interior combined with matching brown Alcantara.
I saw an 812 GTS in a similar specification to what you’re looking at doing and let me say it remains the best one I’ve seen. This is going to look phenomenal
Love the new colour choice! Personally, I think you should theme it off the 166 MM Barchetta Touring by doing the camel tan leather interior and maybe retaining the painted stripe but in a more vintage white and without the tricolore.
Oooohhh, that is going to look stunning 😍 So with you on the stripes decision. Just a whole, uninterrupted classic red shell. Mmmmm. In my mind, when you mentioned interior, tan leather just popped in my brain as you open the door. Interested to see what you choose 🙌
Exciting update. Thank goodness you decided against the tawdry stripe! Looking forward to next episode. Car should look outstanding once you have finished.
Rosso Barchetta is such a underrated colour, i love it, the iconic F50 in Rosso Barchetta, and the challenge will be AMAZING, this classic cars works so much with flat paint
Love the colour choice and the dark blue interior is a classy combo but needs to be alcantara imo for a cs ……. Also a light brown alcantara interior would also look great.
Rosso Barchetta is a great choice. I'd go for Cuoio Alcantara with dark red stitching on the seats. Grigio Alcantara with the red stitching on the dash
This is awesome, barchetta is a fantastic colour! And it would look really good with a navy interior, be a very classy CS spec. And I respect not wanting to do the stripe as well, but if you do add one, instead of white I think a nice cream would look amazing. Plus I don't think it'd be hard to get a custom vinyl including the tricolore
You’ve got the exterior colour absolutely bang on, I think the right call on the stripe too. I wouldn’t rule out a slightly brighter blue interior though. Having a darker red exterior and then a navy blue might look a bit drab IMO
Hey Sam, love your channel and content, thanks very much. I love the 360 CS and the colour you’ve chosen, this would have been my choice as well, I would keep the stripes most definitely and would redo the interior in dark grey / black, cheers
Stunning colour Sam, shame there is another one but equally it helps cement your “good” decision. Personally I like the stripe, but for the sake of it being unique and different from that other car, go without then add something later if need be 👌 Did see the navy blue interior coming but should work really nicely
Personally I would have gone with blu pozzi or verde zeltweg over terra alcantara. Rosso barchetta is a great choice and I’m intrigued to see it paired with a blue interior. In any case you’re getting your 20 year old dream car in your dream spec which is an absolute win!!
Hey Sam! Just a quick note. Since you’ll be doing all that to the car please please please change your seatbelts to 5 point ones!! The in the event of an accident, god forbid, with the four point seat belts you’ll just slide under them…better safe than sorry!
This is going to look phenomenal, great colour choice Sam!
I think so too!
I'd collect the dust from stripe like he suggested and have it glazed into something cool... have an epoxy set of shift paddles made with the dust in it !!
Did you both plan this weekend to be new paint weekend?
I agree with Tim, great choice.
I agree with Robert, who agrees with Tim (Shmee) who agrees with Sam, who agrees with paint shop - it will be a new colour for sure 👍🏻
The fact that you're going with what you want with no consideration to resale value really speaks to my heart. You're living your dream, not worried about making a buck from the car. Please cover the paint process including the cost. I've been considering getting my car painted and I'm sure that your experience would be very helpful.
Just as well - as it will devalue the car for resale. If Sam doesn’t care on resale then good for him!!!
I actually liked how the stripe looked on your choice of red..but it's your car 😁 blaupunkt has a great new retro looking radio with all kinds of inputs. cant wait to see more videos like this :)
Love the colour and the thoughts on the interior. Personally I’d go with the stripe again but hey, it’s your car and you’re keeping it so go for it!
Keep the stripe but maybe just the tricolore?
It's a 430 but it looks clean
supersportiva.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/ferrari-f430-with-tricolore-stripe-800x533.jpg
A silver stripe would be sweet
He will eventually add the stripe I'm sure
Agree… just looks like a ordinary 360
Love the color, good to get rid of the stripe. Not sure about blue interior, I think a tan goes better with the barchetta. Sure it’s not loud but it will look great.
100% tan interior
Blue would be amazing
@@ernesternest815 blue alcantara sounds amazing
From wrapping a red F-Type red to painting a red Ferrari red! I can’t wait to see how this one comes out!
Would love to see a tan colour on the interior- would go lovely with Rosso Barchetta!
Has to. The current interior is way to shouty for a Barchetta red CS
@@TraolieJunior nah the blue alcantara idea he has sounds amazing
I’d say the interior would look fantastic in a caramel/tan with that darker red exterior. BMW had a color that seems would be appropriate on this car called “Modena”
Perfect choice Sam, also reminds of the old pre war Alfa Romeo F1 cars.
Perfect timing, I was bored on this howling Sunday, thanks Sam 👍
I like the stripe it sets it apart but great colour choice Sam
Dark blue interior would be sublime ❤
I liked the middle colour choice but that red you have chosen will make the CS look amazing.def go for leather for the interior. But what ever you choose the interior will be your interior.looking forward to some more of this refresh journey.🔥🔥🔥
Can't wait to see the finished look! Dark brown leather would look so nice with that paint choice...
A much nicer spec than another notable incoming Ferrari on UA-cam… And with the blue seats 👏👏👏
Who’s chosen a shit colour?
@@FumBingerer I think he's referring to Shmee's Verde Kers and gold wheels SF90XX.
Love the barchetta red. But... Your going to regret no stripe.
Do the stripe!
If nothing else do a slightly warmer white on the stripe
The OE CS stripe stickers are probably really hard to get hold of.
Ratatossa explained the process while doing a CS Spider build. The stripe is a sticker applied after paint, but under the lacquer.
Agreed! The one in that colour with the stripe looked the poodles plums
Nailed the color Sam, but missed on your opinion of keeping the factory painted stripe. It would be a nice nod to keep the painted stripe and to the cars history of having a rare option like the painted stripe. Of course, just my opinion✌️
@@Azspeedin rare option? Most of the 360Cs came with the stripe
Silver CS always had a soft spot in my heart but whatever floats your boat ❤
Rosso Barchetta with no stripe is a fantastic choice, it's going to look amazing. Such a treat to look forward to on a Sunday.
Thank you Sam for the video
Hope you enjoyed it!
Nice Riva Yacht model at 11:39, I have two of these! (models not real yacht) PS the stripe on the CS was not painted from factory, it was a vinyl stripe laid under the lacquer.
Amazing colour choice, best of the 3. No stripe and silver wheels as well will look so clean!
No stripe is sacrilege lol. Love the colour choice though.
How ?
This is awesome. Admittedly I wasn't very fond of the spec of the car, but happy you've landed your dream car! Now that you're getting it painted and re-trimmed, I'm excited to see the final result! Staying tuned!

I’ve been waiting since the collection video for this!!! 2025 is going to be a great year for us subscribers!!
Great choice! The Barchetta looks phenomenal. Subtle, yet deep red. Would have preferred my F355 to be that colour tbh.
Keep the stripe!! It’s factory, it’s racetrack, it’s DNA… 🏎️ Blue interior is a great touch!!
Great color! Personally I think the stripe is iconic and it's usually what made me distinguish the Challenge Stradale from the Modena the most.
I adore these videos going over the issues with your car. So interesting to listen to

I’m so happy with the spec and that you’re going stripeless. I’ve always loved the CS, Scud, Speciale and Pistas with the stripe delete
