I think it is a unique concept, geared towards people who are in need of their hands to be set in a fixed position for a long time (bike enthusiasts, truck drivers etc...), but may need some revising for the general public. If they can find a way to get rid of the thumb strap, I’d be interested.
Great suggestion and I'm sure this design will go through revisions over time. This reminds me of the original iPhone, a revolutionary new approach to the flip phone, but not by any means the last version we will see. Great start though! It actually works!
I’m sure they will. And with reviewers like you putting the products through their paces, it will help to point out areas for improvement and introduce their products to the general public, which will help them to achieve their goal, and focus on shipping and to begin future improvements.
Howdy Mr. Ticks! I came to say those Ergon bands are nearly perfect now except that each one is currently going for $260.00 USD. I really want to get one, but not at that price. I heard a good idea your listeners might want to know. Not everyone is happy about that metal pin in the strap that goes around the wrist. Suggestion? Velcro. Different folks will handle the details in their own way. They may or may not be able to remove that pin without damaging the strap. They may want to be judicious about how much glue to use for the velcro because some velcro doesn't last forever. Others may want to consider the ramifications of sewing the velcro on. In any case, I thought the velcro factor was worth mentioning on your channel. Thanks for everything! Take care!
This stuff is not for everyone and surely those who will use it will be limited especially with this first design. I can see this evolving into better materials and designs soon. It surely will be useful for lots of folks involved in sports and those with medical needs and can't make the full gestures of raising their hands. I have always thought the whole concept of full hand raise to watch the time I believe has been for aesthetic and fashion statements developed over time to show off expensive materials. Now things are changing and we need to be more health conscious rather than fashion alone (that is not to say being fashionable is not important as there are premium materials even in the fitness/android watches range too). I believe with time this can really go mainstream. Nice review Mr Ticks. I like that you often cover all basis with little questions to ask.
Yea, don't you just love the anticipation? It's like watching Ghost Adventures and there's no ghosts for at least 45 minutes into the show! By the time they spook you, you're really ready for them. :)
Nope! It's the new wave. I could soooo see this for skiing or hang gliding. Next they'll modify it to hold a GoPro and do a Facebook live stream while skydiving! Millennial Delight.
At over well 200 bucks... as am ex leather smith and cobler I'll buy the leather and metal hardware and make one my self for less than 20 bucks I also has a lot of flaws too bulky, to tight on the tumb, crappy friction powers to hold your 200 plus strap and 500 what ever currency watch,. Recess in to the leather, use Italian belly leather as you would a glove so it's softer and has stretch, have it in medium small and large and n inner securing method to make it look like it implanted in to your hand. Aswell as protecting the bezel from damage. It would be entirely possible to make this so it just slides on and does up with buckle strap or rivet poppers
I think the people who are against, or not supportive of this band rather, are thinking about the lack of discretion the band allows. But I don't understand why they wouldn't think this was a cool product for everyone to use. Push to start and remote start on cars wasn't necessary, but we have it. Smartwatches aren't a necessity, but we have it. I highly support this product can't wait to have one. Great review, Mr. Ticks
Excellent review Mr Ticks! Is it possible to use it with ordinary wristwatches? I find when running or cycling the majority of my dive/sports watch crowns have a tendency to rub against and or dig into the back of the hand... This could potentially be an excellent solution to that issue!?
Sure! You can use it with any watch that uses standard pins to attach a strap. Since you can wear the whole thing over gloves, that may work for you, too. Being that it's stitched leather, you may want to look into treatments for leather to extend the life in water, especially salt water. and treat it gently when it;s wet.
Hello, got Lemfo Lem 12. There is a problem, it doesn't synchronize the time correctly. I live in Germany and the clock is 6 hours ahead. Maybe you can help me. Many thanks. Greetings, Jens
That's a good question. Where I live, and with what I do in life, I haven't worn a long sleeve shirt in over a decade. I'll rely on other viewers to share that experience.
It will work with any watch, smart or otherwise, that uses standard pins to attach the bands. Watches with non-removable bands or the pull-off kind of bands won't attach.
9 months later, they are available on Touch of Modern for $179. Six rich dudes will buy these. And they will be laughed out of their board rooms. And that will be that for these. And were you really *amazed* by the box it came in? 😄 I love your enthusiasm but not this product. Not even a little. 🤷🏻♂️
Yea, I tried all I could think of to cool up my LEMT without the bands, but no luck. There's no way to get around the plastic molding. It's the one watch with removable bands I've found that won't work.
Yes heart rate! As long as the diodes and sensor align over the hole and see your skin, heart rate should work. It's dependent on the placement of the sensor on the back of the watch, of course, but the ones with the sensor in the center should do just fine. You can get your pulse from anywhere on your body, not just your wrist.
Well, trend setting is always a risk. Just ask the ladies that wore mini-skirts no matter what folks were saying about them being too short. Oops, I think I'm dating myself here. Anyway, it definitely will have people forming opinions about it, whether they're Democrats, Republicans, or Independents.
@@SWT Just because it will show a HR reading doesn't mean it is accurate. This placement was already debunked as an option back in 2012. This kind of band has been done before but I am not surprised since you likely live under a rock by your levels of enthusiasm over this POS. There was a diver version made like this and a mountain climbers version. Both failed horribly just like this one will, right after they get sued.
Amazing I can find that much to talk about. Someday I'm going to go for the world's record on describing how to peel a grape before eating it. These videos are a great warmup.

Well, it's not for everybody, but thanks for taking time to learn about it. Who knows, now that you know, you may come across a situation in the future that would apply. It really works for me when driving, and no officer is going to cite me for holding an electronic device!
YIKES! Thanks for catching that. I give a countdown on my clips when recording for easy editing, but forgot to edit this out! Fortunately, UA-cam lets me trim the start and end of a video, so it's rerendering without the countdown.

In clock settings, turn off automatic time zone and select your city manually. That should fix it.

How is it while putting on a long sleeve shirt?

That would interfere with my trekking pole wrist strap. Not my cup of tea... but I can see how others may want this.
Now I never thought about that situation. Good point.
Can you do a review of the sn80?
finally been waiting for this video . great video Mr Ticks.
As you can tell, it took awhile to put together. But it's finally here! Enjoy!!
Is this compatible with mi watch pls check

Perfect angle for driving a car or heavy equipment. Perhaps more functional than aesthetic.

3 years ago,not a new design o concept at all Skydivers use a long time ago (decades )to read his altimeter ,would be impossible to patent.

Making this into a portable toilet paper dispenser would be the worst idea in the world. For a watch, it's actually very practical.
