I remember when you reviewed the previous version. I like them both but for some reason I’m feeling the first one better. Although do like the multifunctional use of Elega Band. Going to hop over to the site. I’m really thinking of getting the Ergon Band. Great review!!!
The first one definitely has the 'look', but this one is more practical by being adaptable to different positions. The first one is pretty much thumb worn only, but wow, definitely an eye catcher.
Really appreciate your reviews - do you have a document that compares key features of the watches you review so I can easily find the appropriate review? eg I am after a waterproof watch with onboard music storage (like like Fitbit Versa)
Thanks for the feedback Simon. Sorry to say, I haven't developed a comparison spreadsheet for all these watches. I have grouped them together into category playlists, which helps somewhat. There's one for 'real' waterproof watches (those with ratings of 3ATM or higher), so you could look through those watches for ones that also have onboard music storage. @@SWT thanks for the playlist suggestion, your detailed subject description allows me to easily find the ones that have onboard music (as the have a few GBs of memory). My use for smart watches is from a fitness instructor side of things, I like having the music on the watch and transmit it to a BT speaker (and I sweat a lot, so I need I high water rating :) ). Again thanks for the great work, it's a real eye opener how much you can get for so little.
Why the fuck is there so much negativity towards these products.. for the past year I've had surgeries on my wrists and haven't been able to wear my fossil smart watch for over year because I wear wrist widgets on both hands.. this solves the problem for me.. I can still wear my watch higher on my hand than further down my wrist where I can barely see it especially if I long sleeves on.. some one comes out with something a little more accessible for people and people shit on it :/
Firstly, this is not new. Divers use this kind of band you wear above your thumb for many years. Secondly, this is basically an elastic hairband. They should be able to manufacture it for pennies!!! Why the Kickstarter??! 🤑🤪🤣
I guess I don't run in the diving group as I haven't seen this anywhere but from the Ergonband group. I could imagine it could also be actually mounted to a left glove if that's ow it would be worn for diving. As for manufacturing costs, I have no idea. They are apparently hand made and there's extensive use of leather, so it's probably a bit more than just pennies to produce. Appreciate your observations though to put things in perspective.
I personally like it as something different. I appreciate being able to switch from thumb view when I'm working out and wrist view when I'm not. Not for everybody I guess, but pretty effective for what it does, and comfortable, too.

Absolutely pointless. A worthless product
