I apologize for the background radio noise but next to my warehouse is a body shop and they have that radio going all day long so on commercials I record and stop recording when the music is playing so I apologize for that nothing i can do for now as I don’t have time to edit my videos but hopefully one day you’ll get better videos
    Thank you for watching..

I really appreciate your videos, It kinda sux that you skip over parts and I miss seeing all of what is done, but even still your's are one of the few videos on these mixers and it is greatly appreciated. I have just bought a hobart H600T with what appears to be a bad start capacitor, the previous owner said there were "flames coming from the motor" and then it quit. I want to be able to put my machine back in service, and ensure it will last a long time. I can turn the planetary gears easily by hand, and also when i turn it the motor turns easily. there seems to be some old oil residue on the bottom of the motor side. I am looking to see if I can find where it came from. I want to make sure oil levels are where they need to be & I will order a new start capacitor and try the mixer, Do you have any advice for me?

      Thank you for your comment
First I have never heard flames coming out of a motor, usually the thermal protection would of shot down power to protect the motor, also beside capacitor there is another essential part on single phase motor that is inside the motor that’s the start switch they also get burned out
Oil residue on motor could come from the bearing on the motor seals do brake allowing oil to pass to the motor
Hopefully you get your mixer going I do suggest to hire a Hobart technician

@@calucoelsv Thank you so much for your reply, I ordered (and received yesterday) a new start capacitor as the old one has some kind of liquid that came from the top and was providing a short medium between the two connectors on top of it.... I assume that is where the "flames" came from that the previous owner mentioned. I have to move a few things to get the mixer where i could even plug it in to my 220 outlet in my garage, so it will be a day or two to see if I will have it functional again... and when i do I will continue to move forward on the maintenance issues as it was not well maintained before i got it. I was an f18 mechanic in the USMC and feel capable with my abilities as far as fixing it, however I know I am not as competent as you or a Hobart technician would be with this project of mine. I will be very cautious as I move forward, and gather as much information as possible before taking any actions, but I do appreciate your concern, I agree that the average person should not attempt what I am about too and appreciate your advice, I wish I could share pictures to further share my predicament. Should you be willing to look over a few pictures of my machine, i will place my email here and if you send me an email saying who you are and where i could send them i will promise not to share your email with anyone... i will remove mine after a week. mine is regularmarine@protonmail.com I would like to thank you again for taking the time to reply to my comment and producing videos on this subject.
