Use a jute bori piece... It gives a better result because of its coarse texture. And the result also comes quick. I do it everytime with a jute bori cutpiece.
But on chrome parts use a cloth piece only.

If the scars are already existing, you need to buff it. I used a buffing wheel mounted on a drilling machine

Use an electric drill with a polishing brush head. No effort, half the time
