The biggest tip would be how useful some extra weapons are. They may not be powerful but some can be used to open doors and destroy rocks.

Yes explosive rounds items that grant bombs, keys, and shields. Got an achievement the other day when i got 9 or 10 shields which was overwhelming with the off/def i had
Also that in the main menu if you go downstairs you can ban weapons so if you think one isn’t useful and don’t want to see it again you won’t

edit:a tip from me is don't be scared to use some items that seem bad I got a item where I had a chance to take double or no dmg when hit and when it activated I always took no dmg

I just finished my first manager! Wow, what a freaking game! This game is so good...we picked up both the Xbox Series X and PS5 *physical at launch. We typically play side-by-side every night after work. We have a ton of games to play in 4K HDR10 Ray Tracing blah, blah, blah we can't put Neon Abyss down. It goes to show you great graphics in games are nice but gameplay wins every single time.
I been playing this a good while but still haven't figured out the upgrading? Sometimes you unlock them but then they want 25 coins to try them? Does the unlocks only work with that player or all player's. I also never use the code numbers, what do they do?

Man the Lullaby gun is broke af. In the devil/angel room it allows you to pick up all the items, it can also glitch into some places and pick up stuff you maybe couldn’t get. Broke af.
How do I crack the stones that are on the ground?

One quick question ok I beat the first 5 levels then I got to the big boss to unlock all the other spots
I beat the boss and now I unlock a new boss
If I die do I start all over or do I stay on that second boss that I already have unlocked
Once you've beat the first manager and unlocked the second manager all future runs will be aiming for that boss, you won't get reset back to the first one, you will only progress

Your not giving out full information the guitar bullets gun goes around u but the bullets homes on the enemy when u let go the button
Not all guitars do this. Thunder deals melee damage and fly off in the direction they are facing when letting go of the shoot button. Rainbow shoots bullets in a standard fashion with the chance of shooting musical notes that deal random elemental damage. The only guitar weapon that has heat seeking bullets is Summer (the acoustic guitar).
The weapon he described sounds like Thunder to me but I also agree with you that the information is lacking since as I just stated, there is not just ONE guitar weapon, and it isn't called guitar either so the information he gave might cause people to avoid all of them not knowing they all shoot differently.
Never mind the fact that active abilities weren't even mentioned in the slightest. I came here to refresh my memory on some things after not having played for some time (bought it again for PC) but it turns out I remember more than I realised and find this guide misses SO many important information that could heavily benefit new players. What about watching the badges after a boss as they rotate through the effects to choose the one you need and stack them (ie the heart badge if you need health after a devil room, gun badge to pump into weapon damage and so on), or even recommending checking the wiki to learn the items to start and get into the flow of it? Missed opportunities imo
I'd also say it's really important to always check what your pets do as they could be huge for survival. Maybe you don't want to pick up those coins because you have a pet that picks them up for a chance to drop hearts or shields. This is worth knowing. This along with knowing your pets evolve are big tips.
Another thing worth saying would have been regarding sets, combos of items that can be beneficial. This i why I would recommend checking the wiki when you have a choice of items and look at what you have to see if you can do anything in this regard.

You maybe shouldve told that you can have more then 3 choices in the Devils rooms, If you Take the right skills.
0. (OPTIONAL) If you dont get at least 2-3 items, a couple of bombs, and a couple of keys, from the first level, restart, usually isnt a good run.
1. Search up what items do when you have the choice to pick between them, there are some items that will ruin your run or just better than others
2. Eggs are unnecessary unless you have an item to utilize them efficiently
3. Save a key a for rooms 2 and up because you need them for treasure rooms
4. Explosive skills are items you should avoid, they are bad in the long run
5. Save resources, don't use them on rock doors or rock chests because some skills require a lot of resources such as keys or bombs, or even coins to be useful
6. Go to a room without activating it(just walk in dont go any further) check the room, analyze it, and check the other rooms available, there might be a crystal or a crystal chest. Find a room that is necessary to do first, don't just leeroy Jenkins because you might want to find the treasure room first to become more powerful.
7. Get skills that give you rooms(piano or dance), they give skills or weapons for free if you complete a challenge
8.(OPTIONAL) Buy Saya or Amir, they are the best character in the game, mostly Saya because the katana can give you double jump for free or let you escape unwanted situations. Amir because it tells you descriptions of an item so you can remember what they do.
9. Flight items are optional, but very good(some items require you to jump to activate, which you can't when flying)
10. Have fun, do not stress over a run. There are endless amounts of seeds which can lead to fun and easy runs.

Tip 7 - The devs were home sick the day of preschool when they would have learned the difference between walls and floors. Sorry for the salty, but I had a good run royally screwed over. Had a bouncy shot weapon, and got the 'shoot through walls' powerup, only to learn, oops, it goes through the floor, too, so. no bounce.
get DLC, the samurai girl gives you double jump with an upward slash. its free and looks cool. PLUS YOU GET TO BE A CUTE PINK HAIRED ANIME GIRL!!! LETS GOOOOO
