In memoriam. Thank you, Mr. Kristofferson, for treating Sinead as we all should have done - acknowledging how widely misunderstood she was, and standing up for her publicly as well as privately. The courage infusing Sinead as she stands motionless, staring down the crowd that is booing her, is painful in the wake of her passing, but profoundly inspiring. I grieve for her grief, I mourn her loss, I thank her for her life, and I mourn the manner in which we, the public, excoriated her for what we simply did not understand.
i'm not typically an angry person whatsoever but whenever someone talks bad about Sinead it makes my blood boil. sure she had her sour moments but she learned from every single one of them and became a better person from it in the end. she's a true saint in my eyes.

This is lovely. I just adore Kris Kristofferson. The world owes Sinead an apology, because she was absolutely RIGHT. She was a prophet of the horrors inflicted on children the world over by the Catholic Church, that we would learn all about just a few years after her SNL performance. She basically lost her career over this, but she never lost her soul. What a beautiful, righteous warrior for truth and justice.

May Sinéad truly Rest In Peace. This world was unkind to her and yet she did her best to speak up for what she believed in, and to ignore the haters, even when it was basically the entire world. After everything she had been through I cannot even imagine. We all need to do better as a people. I always suspected Kris Kristofferson had a strong moral compass and a wide streak of humanity. As for Sinead O’Connor, the world always shuns and punishes the truth tellers. I feel great sadness at news of her death. My only hope is that she is at peace.
One has to understand that many people benefit from this church with pulls into teaching Jobs and what not. People look after their self interests but cannot see round the corner.
Kris was asked to go pull her off-stage and he said he'd do no such thing. Instead, he encouraged her. A damn fine man. And you have to admire that Sinead refused to let the band start up to drown out the boos. She wasn't going to shout them down or to perform for uncivil jackasses. Ironically, she was a better Christian than the ones who tried to drown her out. And, of course, she was *right.*
I got to full fill something on my bucket list. Seeing Kris Kristofferson up close, he was performing with Merle Haggard. Merle was awesome, and Kris made it more about Merle then himself. Kris was/is every bit the super star that Merle was, but he showed him nothing but respect.
I saw that SNL with my friends. I will never forget it. We all knew exactly what the message was. I was surprised when she was treated so badly at a Bob Dylan celebration. God, I will never forget Kris walking up to her ."Don't let the bastards get you down."
Great moment in concert history. Kris was so kind to come out on stage and provide her with support in the wake of the SNL incident. The audience was rude to boo at her. She was right! She was f’n right! F the Pope! The Catholic Church is evil and disgusting. How anyone can be a Catholic is beyond me. And Sinéad knew it too. She shredded that picture of the Pope because it deserved to be shredded. Sinéad is owed an apology for what happened. Sinéad lived a sad, troubled life and she’s finally found the peace she so desperately deserved. RIP sweet woman. 😇
As much as I respect the spirit of your post, please, don't belittle Sinead's accomplishments and rich life she had after the SNL nonsense. She went in there knowing she was throwing her career away, and she did it for the same reason she thumbed her nose at the Grammy nominations - because that wasn't the life she wanted, and speaking out against something atrocious knowing it was going to cost her the fame she'd suddenly achieved because what better way to use that platform before it disappeared from under her feet. And while she struggled with mental health issues throughout her life, those had nothing to do with her meteoric rise and fall and everything to do with the horrors visited upon her as a child by her parents. But she was a proud mother and grandmother and was still performing and recording up until her son's sudden death last year. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say THAT was what finally broke her, not any of this other stuff.
I loved her music and had no opinion about her despite the media's attempts to smear her because of her truth-telling courage at such a young age. We were all deep in the throws of the programming back then so thank you, Mr. Kristofferson for stepping up to the role of a real man by comforting and shielding a helpless, young woman when the world was being told to destroy her, via the lying, programming, propagandizing media.

Fantastic song on a beautiful album. Kristofferson's mature, more grainy, voice wonderfully conveys the depths of his poetry and humanity. I wonder why this later music gains so much less attention and credit?
Kris has a minstrel ability to turn a sentiment ,a feeling, an opinion into a lasting tribute for an often outspoken , sometimes rash , but always fiercely principled woman of our times , you don't have to agree with her views and actions to admire her inner strength and bravery despite the mob reactions , RIP Sinead , Nothing Compares to U.
Amen! Love Kris! She was RIGHT!!! It is the finest blades that are most easily blunted, bent, or broken. And thank you for your initial real courage Sinead. Informing the world of factual abuse and atrocities, way before we were prepared to hear it, so forcefully. As an abused child, she refused to roll a blind eye. "Through their own words, they will be exposed!" STRENGTH & COURAGE! And mental illness doesn't mean someone is "crazy or a loonie." Blessings to all! 🥰
Sometimes if not most times, it takes a while for the truth to come to light. Thanks to people like Sinead, eventually it can see the light of day. And what else can be said of my man Kris, he's a true human being. Always a fan of his.
2 absolutely honest people! Not because of celebrity. I would love to have these people in my life. Total honesty. No care about how you will be perceived. How many of us can actually say that? Gained so much respect for both of them this night.
My dear sweet Sinead, as we have learned, you spoke the truth. How brave you were and you paid a huge price for speaking out. I always have and always will think highly and lovingly of you. I'm so so so sorry for the pain you endured, you were a beautiful spirit. The world owes you a hugh apology. Thank you for your beautiful voice, your strength to stand tall in the midst of hatred, and having and sticking to your beliefs and principles. I hope you're at peace now and you are in the arms of your loved ones. Rest well Queen.
Kris, by all I ever heard, read and observing his words, life and music...he is was a great man. What a person he was, so courageous himself to defy a number in the business that did not like this righteous rebel...and Oh, what he did in music, the Highwaymen, perhaps the biggest, best thing for many decades...I have to believe the Highwaymen's music will last forever...the greatest 4 western swing singers, Willie, Waylon, Johnny & Kris. I believe, sadly, they are all gone now.
Kris Kristofferson exemplifies what a real man is and how a real man behaves.

And can prove the truth,
May we all find the strength to share the truth,
No matter how unpopular with some people it may be.
RIP Shuhada Sadaqat, our Sister Sinead
I hope you have found peace
Rest in peace Mr. Kristofferson. ❤️ Thank you for having kindness.
This song is beautiful writing this song for Sinéad Kris Kristofferson is a true Gentleman he allways supported Sinéad when everyone turned on her 🙏
I can’t stop crying. She was a soul sister.
I just found out I *can* love Kris Kristopfferson even more.
RIP to Kris and Sinead O’Connor.
Kris Kristofferson is the embodiment of a good man. Warrior. Scholar. Artist. Thoughtful and kind.
Wow, I love Kris, but never have seen this before. WOW, he's such an icon.
I am crying. I am 55 years old. and i am crying. She told the truth about the pedophiiles in the catholic church. And she was booed. And t´she stand there and took it all. How brave can a human be...
Crying. Miss them both. ♥
Thank you Kris for loving our Sinead. RIP
Yourwere a good man Kris ! Another star passes over head in our time.
Goodbye to the Silver Tongued Devil. The greatest ever
Amen, my friend. ❤
I hope he’s giving her another big hug right now. This one hurts. RIP
Yah.
This one is deep. His music helped get me through some very dark times. I'm not sure I would have made it without his songs.
@@DavidHernandez-oc1oz That's why he is still, and always will be, special. You are too; keep cruising, my man.. You're stronger than anything against you. Always.
Maybe shes crazy and maybe she 'ain't Well if you want my opinion she's very definitely NOT crazy. She is and always will be a saint
I bet you won't find a living soul who would admit to being in that crowd booing.
R. I. P. Sinead 😢
Fantastic song on a beautiful album. Kristofferson's mature, more grainy, voice wonderfully conveys the depths of his poetry and humanity. I wonder why this later music gains so much less attention and credit?
- R.I.P - Sinead O'Connor - She was so fierce but also so fragile.
Good man. God's got him now. Rest good soul.
RIP Kris, bet Sinead's waiting up there for him. So many talented voices gone on... Heaven must sound amazing.
I just hope they have Marshall stacks.. Godspeed to them, and you. (I think they do.)
Kristofferson is a gentleman, I even wanted to cry 😢
RIP Kris.
Sinead will meet you above there tonight 🙏🙏
Mr Kristofferson, tres bien por vous you are with it! So very much appreciated!
RIP Kris and Sinead. Now singing together in Heaven. Sinead was right btw.
Heartfelt tribute to the “bald-headed brave little girl,”.. Rest in peace.. Sinéad O'Connor! 🕊️🤍🌻
This song is amazing. For a second I thought it was a prank, but no, it really is what it says it is, just like Kris and Sinead.
Rest in peace both of you ❤️❤️
You a real one for this Kris. RIP Sinead.
Kris is a great friend. Rest in peace, Sinead.
may you both rest in peace 🩷
RIP Sinead - I hope she's finally found peace
Rest in Peace Legandary Irish Singer/songwriter.....🙏❤❤
Kris has a minstrel ability to turn a sentiment ,a feeling, an opinion into a lasting tribute for an often outspoken , sometimes rash , but always fiercely principled woman of our times , you don't have to agree with her views and actions to admire her inner strength and bravery despite the mob reactions , RIP Sinead , Nothing Compares to U.
Kris is a Man. That's why he is so compassionate about things he thinks are wrong. Not a socialist just a thinker.
Amen!
I hope Mr Kristofferson is able to sing this at Sinead's funeral.
thank you for being there for her ♥ she is now in peace 🙏
RIP to Sinead and Kris 🙏
RIP, KK. Thanks for your humanity.
Willie and Kris are still alive and performing as of January 2021!

Isn’t it odd people think he’s dead? This isn’t the first time I’ve come across that.
Sinead had more courage than all of the people booing her put together.
And, she was wright the whole time.
