The Czechoslovak legion is a very interesting topic in history. Thanks for covering this game
Being Slovak I really appreciate you playing this - especially in the immersive mode - it's nice to hear Slovak and Czech language in a game of this size - though even Russian villagers and Morozov are speaking suspiciously well Czech, with slight Russian/Ukrainian accent :D (and yes, I do remember there was Czech in Witcher and other games too).
This period of time - although really turbulent - was very important for forming of our first independent republic and many say, it might have been the best time yet for our nations (I am not one of them), and yet I think I remember you saying during the demo you didn't know anything about this - like many I suppose, and so I hope this game will be successful, so many people will learn about this interesting journey which - as they game says - is based on the real facts and history...
It's interesting that they are launching the game on 28th of November - I am wondering if they planned to release it on the 28th of October ( on that day in 1918 Czechoslovak republic was established) and they missed it...?
Your name pronunciation is surprisingly good, and I think you will find the names even funnier - as they are little easter eggs and practically all can be translated, for example Maxmilian Drap is Maxmilian Claw, Major Gazdik is "Small Farmer/Reeve", there is Barbora "Big-Headed", Jozef "Lefty" and Antonin Bark (like on a tree) in your squad; and you had a Groundhog (Sysel), "Small Boy Cat" (Kocourek) and Ram (Beran) on your train too (all of those name are pretty common)...
I am really looking forward to you playing this game (hopefully to completion) - so hit me up if you are interested in anything that was mentioned or would like some translation and/or explanation - I will answer you and also try my best to write in the comments if there will be something notable and/or funny in the episode...

Loved the demo play you did and looking forward to the full game play through! With that in mind could you please put it to English like the demo? I am not that fast of a reader and my eyes aren’t what they used to be. Love the content and wish you the best of luck. Let’s avoid the snipers death like what happened in the demo, poor Maximilian he deserved better!

Did the ill/poisoned guy heal automatically on the train or do you need to assign them to a bed in hospital car
Good question! I'd assumed he'd be placed in the hospital car automatically but I should probably check next time I get the chance. This game isn't one for hand-holding :P
Will you be doing a full playthrough of this?
Well that's the plan, though it will depend on if enough people are onboard or not. There's a lot of new releases I want to cover this winter but I'd personally like to see this one through to the end :)
Though I normally enjoy subtitles, the English VAs seemed to have more emotion in their lines. If you could change it to English, that would be great.
Yeah, I've had a couple other people who are struggling with the subtitles so I'll be changing it back to the English dub. Give it a couple of episodes to kick in :)
If possible, could you increase the game's audio when you're not speaking? I know it's dumb, I can't speak a word of neither Czech nor Russian, but their voices still sound a little muted to me. I fully understand that might be a personal issue though, so if it's too much trouble, please feel free to disregard this comment 😅Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to this modern-day Anabasis!
Nah that’s alright. Just give it a couple episodes to kick in. Balancing audio on UA-cam is more of an art than a science :P
