I got the same problem, no check engine light, but no ignition light and engine can start. BUt I cant communicate with ECU anymore...so it seems to be working, but not communicating?
Did the vacuum pump cure the issue on this car as I have the exact same symptoms with a car I have in Spain and I’m working with a limited tool kit and no miti vac but it does have positive pressure from the solinoid supply and negative from the brakes
The customer declined the repair as the vehicle was not worth much to him. The diagnostic was sound. Proof would be substituting the component vacuum with the servo vacuum, you should then get boost back
Hi changed the vacuum pump this sorted out the boost problem at low boost it still seems to have quite a bit of lag then at about 3k revs 4th gear on the motorway it will shut down in limp home with a low boost pressure fault then clear with ignition recycling the egr cooler seems sticky would this cause this sorry to hijack your post but I’m trying to sort this car while I’m over on holiday as I can’t get a mechanic over here who doesn’t want to just throw parts at it

This vehicle required a replacement vacuum pump, not to say that yours does with out carrying out a diagnosis first

just did the same with my car, similar problem, only thing lighting up is the grey square box, i guess a relay? bottom right of your video here, but its situated bottom left of CJB, what is it? should it be hot?
Mine is focus 2013 se version, 5 speed manual one, cruise control works on 3rd gear, but not on 4th and 5th, I’m thinking of something to do with programming, issue started since I sent the car to the body shop

I think you may have solved my problem. My Galaxy wouldn't crank, but when I let it roll a bit it started. I assume therefore that it must be a dodgy starter motor, as did the garage. When I went to pick it up, it wouldn't start. The mechanic told me to press both the clutch and the brake. It started, but I told him I had never had to do this before and only needed to depress the clutch as normal. Having come across your video, I checked the drivers foot well and found it to be very wet. I will take it back to the garage and get them to investigate the corroded wire. I'm sure that is the problem. Cheers.

Yeah hi mate your videos very interesting I've just brought 2.2 and it's doing like the same but 1 minute it will start and then when I to turn it over I get nothing but when I get a jump start it will start straight away so I don't know if you know about that or if it could be the relay thank you

Hi, I have a Ford Galaxy 2017 auto keyless stop/start system. Before the car started and ran ok, I did an oil,air, and fuel filler service when I about to start the car ,I had ignition, but know crank, brake peddle press and the green light is showing and the start button, when you press it, it flashes and don't start, check all fuses all ok , check starter relay ok , feed 12v to the starter ok, I even check. BCM that ok, now I'm stuck can some help me please

Im trading mine in. Mechanic cant find anything wrong. One day it works great, others days trouble starting, next day cuts off while driving.
Interssting video ,but why not just read the amps draw on the clamp meter display you should be able to see 55 amps on that?
I'd always check power/signal. With a injector pulling no current

There is a small oil filter in the head. You can google how to change it. If it is plugged with sludge the oil flow is limited. Change it periodically (and keep the oil clean) and you wont have this problem.
I have a vauxhall vivaro with a constant red immobiliser light, i've tried everything and i can't sort it... was working one day and then not the following day

@@mattylowe71 hi matt yes I sorted mine out I think it was a combination of 2 things. I took the blue plug apart in the fusebox under the bonnet and found some contacts very corroded so cleaned up both parts with electrical cleaned and small wirebrush. Then I also changed the small ecu behind the gearstick as again a few corroded connectors. Small ecu cost 15 pound from ebay

Long way around on a fiat just go from the negative on the battery to a metal on the engine with jumper cable
Testing with a jump lead is a poor way to carry out that test as depending on the quality of the jump lead it still may not start. Look up the video super mario diagnostics did on testing earth faults. It explains it quite well

You legend! This was the problem exactly and due to a water spillage a few weeks previously. Thank you!!! For reference for others. The weird thing about the problem I was having is that it would start but needed to have both brake and clutch depressed and 2 pushes of the start button. Now all back to normal. Thank you!!!

Hopefully you are still monitoring the comments.... I've got 95% of the same conditions featured here, right down to the previous Aircon leak. The 5% difference is that when I trigger the start button... The dash shows "press clutch to start" and that dismisses when I press the clutch (But no response from the engine) Does that mean my clutch wire is likely ok or does that switch feed different modules and there could still be a break? Appreciate your thoughts before I get to ripping it out!
Hi. I'd say if the clutch message goes out when you press the clutch then it5 is probably ok, if the vehicle is not cranking you need to start at the starter motor & work back from there
@@ams-mobileuk7226 Your video has saved another one.... just reporting back to say that.. after noting the clutch notice on dash was actually intermittent, I had a look at the wiring in question.. and bingo! I actually have no idea what Ford were thinking with this connection, they could have added 50p to the build cost and done it in so many better ways.

hi i want to know what can be causing the problem with my brother tony he has a jagaur XF and 20 litre diesel and it is a M reg 65 reg and the battery has draining and some times wont start and i want to know what can cause it.

Have you carried out a code scan. Do you get comms with the engine computer?
@@ams-mobileuk7226 cheers for the reply. I had it scanned a while ago and the only codes were throttle position and something to do with glow plugs. Only thing I noticed before it died was a abs and service light came on then off again in a minute or so whilst driving. Checked all fuses and relays not checked wiring looms yet. Did find the earth to gearbox was rusted but have sorted that. Also three mechanics have gibmving up on it. Dont suppose your in cornwall?.

Hi, I have question. Mine does not start because the bottom contact which is ne relay in the fuse box do not have a ground, it is missing. Where should I look for to find grounding.

Excellent video, well done. I'm having a problem on the same vehicle Clio 1.2 16V with a pin number 20, it's for AC control to rise the RPM's when AC is turned on, but there is no voltage. The AC works perfectly with direct 12V. I like to put direct currency on pin 20 but i do not now exactly voltage for this pin od the ECU. Does it 12v ? Pls a need help to check and resolve this issue

Sloppy clutch job… Didn’t bother cleaning anything by the looks of it.
Please help, mine does that, but.... After couple time of pressing the start button, it finally starting the car. And this accurs not every start of the car. May it be just. Relay.?
There is a number of things that could cause this. Best thing to do is find a reputable garage near you & let them take a look. Depending on how intermittent the fault is, it could make it difficult to track down, as the fault needs to replicated when the technician has it
