Hi, great review! coming from many boards i want an 1 do it all for sidehits, kickers and high speed in the afternoon with the skiers. Nitro team Pro or Rome National?
@@AngrySnowboarder which one has more pop? also more or less the same? I see sidecut is slightly different(radius) does that make any difference with these boards?
Would this board feel any different in a 162w, than a 161w Rome Agent Pro? Would like try to out full camber.. but not sure if there will be a big enough difference between the boards
Hi. Thanks a lot for the great review! Honestly, I am torn between Team and Team pro... I like the allegedly better base of the Pro but a little bit appalled by its higher stiffness. Basically, I am just riding the slope and a little bit of powder, no park. Would you say Sintered Speed Formula II Base is much faster than Speed Formula HD Base? Would higher flex really be noticeble?
@@AngrySnowboarder Meaning both will do the job pretty decently? :). Unless you think there is a real difference in their bases (which Nitro claims to be the case, stating that the base is the fastest on Pro), I'll probably save 90 € and will go with standard Team hoping I can still keep up speed with the rest of my crew...
I'm a little late to the party here, but was looking at a new Nitro. I want traditional camber as my other board is a Lib with slight rocker in the middle. I think I've narrowed it down to this board, and the Beast. Initially wanted a true twin park board as I have the directional board already. My typical day is hauling ass carving the groomers, doing 180's/360's on rollers and knuckles, looking for all the side hits I can find, and spend a lot of time in the Parks - more on jumps, but some rails. I'm unsure I'm man enough for the Beast, but I usually ride stiff boards. My other board is a Rasman and I don't feel like it's that stiff. Any recommendations either way? Appreciate it!
Oh how I missed a stiffer traditional camber board!! This was the right choice. Love it. Thanks for nudging me in the right direction. The snap is insane. Load it up and it's like a diving board. Charges around the mountain like a maniac. So fun. I have found that I really like a twin~ish traditional camber style board for 90% of my riding. You can have all these directional boards with tons of taper and super long noses. I'm on the East Coast so, yeah, powder isn't really a thing here.
Best boots are the ones that fit your foot and needs. Have used the clicker system in the past. Clicker is decent. Never had a premature release. Doesn't like gloopy wet snow too much(stomp your foot before you click in). In regards to the nitro specifically, they're a narrower fit. Too narrow for my feet. But there are other clicker compatible manufacturers.
The Nitro Team Pro comes in sizes 146 and 149 this season. Finally, something for the shredding ladies who need a stiff board instead of hopeless downgraded versions of men's boards with soft flex. What do you think, Avran?
Hi! Looking to buy a new snowboard for all-mountain use.. currently im trying to decide between the nitro team pro and the bataleon goliath+... Any advice regarding the two boards? 189cm, 90kg and size 12 US boots
I found a screaming deal on this board, I was riding an older capita DOA. Does the directional twin make much of a difference riding switch? Can I just mount it up centered and be good to go?
Off topic, but I have a boot fit question I don't think was covered in your fit series. I just got these spurs on the top of my feet that got a lot worse last season. Apparently it's referred to as a "Tarsal boss". It creates this really painful pressure point on the top of my foot when riding. Is this a common thing? Besides heat molding is there any specific boot fit tricks that might work?
This is not common. But there are options to fix it. Sad news is you probably shouldn't be in a boa boot. So you'll need to pull your liner out of the boot and look at the internal harness and how it fits as to the area effected. Then you'll need to re-lace the harness to bypass the effected area basically you don't want any crisscross going over it. If that doesn't work then pull the liner out of the boot again and get some 3M foam. You're going to have to make an instep bridge for this. What that means is that below and above the effected area you want to cut about half cm wide strip of foam that runs from the inside to the outside, you can also cut it as a crescent to match up to the oval shape of the effected area. You're going to place these above and below the effected area then look at how the internal harness guides over it and see if you can reroute the internal harness as well. Once you've done that, slap it back in the boot and try it on, if you're still having an issue then you'll want to cut a slit across the top of the effected area inside those two foam pieces. Repeat the lacing and what not and see how it works. If you're still having issues after that amputate. I'll probably get to making a video on this at some point.
@@AngrySnowboarder 15kg or 33lbs over. Or is this just one of the things on which one could base sizing decision? But yeah I'm overthinking it as this ______ amount of space on either side comparing to the 162w isnt anything.
Just an update if anyone has this same question. The board handles great and the pop is magnificent. I haven't really found it too stiff (maybe that's the weight/size thing) while still being stable at speeds and in carves. I love it and the sintered base is amazing.
Great review. I happen to also be considering the Assassin Pro and Super DOA (also regular DOA, Capita Mercury/Mega Merc, and Burton Custom/CustomX). Between these boards could you please comment which is most stable for high speed carving? I'm a bit of a speed demon... Thanks.
@@AngrySnowboarder Thanks! Of course it's gotta be the most expensive one haha. I've been riding Burton and traditional camber for 20+ years so at least I'll know what to expect, but I want to try some different brands so I'm also now considering the Capita Indoor Survival - basically anything with traditional camber, but I just don't want it to flop around at high speed. I don't care about buttering or jibbing.
What directional boards would pair well with a korua tf? I asked yesterday on the TF review and you suggested something way more directional. Sorry for bugging you about this… Is there a way I can pay you for buying advice on your website or patreon?

185lbs at 6’1 and got a 162W. Quite stiff as you have mentioned but this thing picks up speed crazy fast. Love the board.
Hi Angry - great review. How would this compare to the ride algorithm? Sounds like this got more pop.
Easier to engage the pop on this that's for sure as the Algo takes a bit more effort to get it to engage.
