Any hyundai and kia models suv or sedan that has the same code, this will solve the issue. Replace both oem parts, runner motor and vcm service kit.

Her Sonota popped the same code (P200A00). She found the code by going to a local shop who said they'd run the code for free.
My daughter was given a quote of $1000.00 to fix it.
We ordered the parts in your video for less than $65.00 and she (not we) did the work following your guidance.
Within 45 minutes (and some cussing) she was done. Took it for a test run and instant success!
I got some awesome dad/daughter time and she knows how to fix stuff. AND we save a ton of $$$$$

Thanks for uploading this video. I have hyundai Sonata 2017 SE model. This issue came 3 weeks ago in my car. I found this video and showed it to my mechanic. He understood the issue and change the small part of VCM kit as mentioned in video. He charged me 274$ in total. It was done ine few hours. Its been more than a week since repair, the issue hasnt come yet, so its been solved. I have bluelink services hence I called Hyundai service center and explained them issue they were giving appointment after 2 mobths. Hyundai service centre is completely useless hence I went to local mechanic option. Thanks a lot for this video.
Hi was the p200a code on ? I have the same car and the dealership wants to charge me 700$ plus diagnostic

@@_JJay so I actually didn't end up doing it. I bought all the parts, but I ended up trading in the sonata for a 22 Tucson last month

I see it went at 110K miles, my 2015 2.4 had it replaced at only 15K miles. I went and poured a few droplets of fresh engine oil over all those knuckles and hinges to keep them lubricated.
2017 Somata just got code, have to get up to 60mph to feel good
Hi, where did you buy the c clip?
The C clip comes with the vcm service kit or you can buy it at autozone or oreilys.
Bro I have a problem with this part when I turn the key to start the car I hear noise coming from this part. Is that part bad or what?
I have the Hyundai sonata 2015 my intake manifold runner believe it or not deliver on it keeps snapping it's not even laughing a day or two could there be another problem other than the actual intake manifold runner

You can buy them from the dealership or on eBay.
I replaced the VCM actuator and also installed the new arm and ball bracket on my 2016 Sonata, however, the check engine light still comes on with the same P200a DTC. Any ideas? Could it be a short, or a bad sensor somewhere? I am not noticing any trouble in acceleration, however, I have no point of reference since I just bought the car used.
I’m having the same problem with the check engine light, but I only Change the intake manifold control runner and I can I accelerate just fine.
@@_GroovyBlack_ I was reading on the Hyundai forums and it's possible that we may need to reprogram the intake manifold control runner. You can only do it through the GDS software (dealership), but I was looking around ebay and aliexpress and they have the GDS VCI module along with the connectors to a PC and the software for about $100-250. I'm just not too trusting of it but we'll see, mine accelerates normally from what I can tell but time will tell. I also read that it may relearn on it's own depending on your driving habits, but couldn't confirm it.
@@silencez2324 oh fasho thanks, cause when I cleared my engine light it came on the next day after another car taped it, and when I tried to cleared it again it just came back on.

Im having the same exact issue. Just replaced the VCM actuator and installed the service kit (Arm and ball bracket). P200A keeps coming up. I ended up replacing the VCM actuator once again thinking it was a faulty part.
Did you guys ever solve it?
