It is essentially a Super Duty sedan, based on the F250 chassis with a Ford Focus rear end, making it look like an even more disproportionate version of the Chevy Avalanche. Long story short, there is a loophole in Brazil’s laws regarding sedans sold with diesel engines. Apparently, any diesel passenger vehicle sold in Brazil must be 4x4 and must have low/high gearing. A company called Tropical seemed to turn diesel trucks into family-style cars to get around this loophole, so behold: the F250 Super Duty “Sedan” was born. This “sedan” doesn’t handle as well or is as fuel efficient as a real Ford Focus, and no longer has the utility of an F250, so it became the worst of both worlds. we need to start talking about how the price of trucks is skyrocketing because small business owners can buy one and then get tax rebates for it. we're essentially giving a handout to truck makers. these type of tax breaks need to go away.
It's not a tax rebate. It's simply taking depreciation on a business asset just like a welder, office building or laptop. Trades business owners buy these, real estate agents buy a GLS, and tech bro start ups buy G Wagons. It's all the same. Trades business owners likely use their truck more than most other truck owners.

Used to drive my F-250 Monday through Friday, and my Exige on the weekend. Every Monday morning, after a couple of days in the Exige, driving the truck felt like I was in an 18-wheeler for the first fifteen minutes.
The back up camera on the top of tailgate is such a great idea. As someone who does an every day job that’d be more comfortable with the tailgate down I think I know my next truck lol.
I'm not always super fond of motor companies changing up so many things every few years with different generations, especially with the last 3 generations of super duties being the best they have ever been. So when this new generation came out I was very skeptical. But my dad ended up getting a 2023 King Ranch F250 and after getting to test drive it and see the features I can say that I was very impressed with everything about the truck. We have always been a ford family so I can't speak for many other brands, but it does definitely seem like every change that ford makes on these trucks is for the better! No complaints here.
This is the dream vehicle for suburban cowboys who carry little more than groceries in the bed and rarely drive further than the local Texas Roadhouse.

So they got a good Reason to own one Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps
No, no, stop. They should not be making these easier to drive around town. thats the whole reason they are a problem in cities. They need to be rough so they are only good as a beater work truck. These should not be luxury family anything. Putting a backing camera on it only encourages some frumpy power tripper to buy one for solely urban living. Cool truck but I wish they actually were trucks, not just everything in one.
About a decade ago my brother in law phoned me up and asked if I wanted to go in half on a 1996 Ford F-250. “They want only $2,000 for it, and it’s in great shape!” I inquired about the specs: 351ci Windsor V-8, two wheel drive, automatic. Standard cab, long (8’) bed. A former CalTrans fleet truck, it was basic as basic can get. Hand crank windows, vinyl bench seat, AM/FM radio with only six presets, all swaddled in that bright blue Ford loved so much in the 90s. So basic was our truck that it didn’t even have full wheel covers, just steel “dog dish” covers that slipped on over the lug nuts. We joked that it must’ve been a supervisor’s truck to have gotten that upgrade. Sadly, after about six months of ownership it became the target of a vehicle theft ring operating inside USMC Base Camp Pendleton. Folks were arrested and jailed but we never saw our truck again. Too bad, really, because it was a great work truck-even if my sister didn’t fully appreciate its awesomeness.

I miss the days of childhood when people bought pick up trucks because they were cheap and simple.
don't want the luxuries then get a base one smaller engine for damn near half the price. there is a reason f series is not only the best selling truck but best selling VEHICLE in US and Canada. you have choices when they use to be just bare bones work truck available and cheaper do to no backseat. you have base work truck for workers AND entry version to luxury versions for soc er dads and moms that still want that bed.
@@carculturenation2166 But my point is that luxury trucks weren't a thing and the world was a better place for it.
I mean theres the Ford Maverick for just over 20K
@@carculturenation2166so a couple jobs ago I worked for a fleet company in Oklahoma during the last explosion of oil and gas. Alot of my customers would only buy Ford's because they didn't take bail out money from the Government. This was straight from the owner of the company's mouth. For a truck I prefer Ford's myself. I have owned a new truck from the top three.
@carculture You're spamming this everywhere. 60% of F250's I see never see a spec of dirt. They're owned by people with a massive ego who can't drive.
Fun fact, that “W” logo is the actual cattle brand used on the livestock on the King Ranch. They have had this partnership with Ford for a few decades now I believe. South Texan here lol

Yeah, I think he misses the concept of leaf springs on a heavy duty truck. Pretty jarring unloaded, but smooth as silk if you have a trailer attached
I think only platinum and limited got them in the 24s
Doug said “massive” 12 times in this video. Which is 4 more than when he reviewed the Sierra AEV. I guess you could say the F-250 is more ”massive”…
What are people towing with these things to require all this torque?
Their houses?
Sometimes, their cars, a camper/caravan/trailer (like when they want to move to a new house), building materials and equipment (like bulldozers etc). You'd have to get the F-650 (the biggest F-series) if you want to tow your house😂.
Your Mom
Their fat mommas
Yes actually haha. For real though. Large camping trailers. Work trailers for various things. Sure an F150 can tow 13k lbs but it’s not the best tool for the job especially when elevation and steep grades come into play. If you need to tow over 10k lbs that’s where this truck makes sense. Also it can hold 3k lbs in the bed if you need to carry heavy stuff.
Fifth wheel
Heavy duty truck suspensions are made to carry maximum payload and are stiff it's a trade-off they make for comfort
If that needs to be mentioned to anyone buying a 2500 or bigger then they probably don't need to purchase one

Just got a 2024 F150 a couple months ago and the entire computer already failed. Screen, charging ports, media controls are all dead. It's been at the dealer for two weeks now while they wait for "backordered" parts. They'd had trouble with this problem in previous years but i thought to myself "surely they've fixed it with the new model." Nope.
Ford strikes again!
They did, they switched from Microsoft based Sync to Blackberry based Sync. Screen and all controls work flawlessly in my Bronco. Sorry for your luck. Hope they get it fixed for ya :)

we need to start talking about how the price of trucks is skyrocketing because small business owners can buy one and then get tax rebates for it. we're essentially giving a handout to truck makers. these type of tax breaks need to go away.
Envy is an ugly thing.
Why are you against small businesses? Those tax breaks are a good thing.
It's not a tax rebate. It's simply taking depreciation on a business asset just like a welder, office building or laptop. Trades business owners buy these, real estate agents buy a GLS, and tech bro start ups buy G Wagons. It's all the same.
