I need to transplant my superbum into a larger wood. My question is can I use finishing rod to wrap around the veins of the shield area? Will that damage the veins of the plant?
Hello, I hope you can help me. I live in Australia and I’m pretty sure I have the Grande one. The shield fronds were growing quite well but now the edges are sort of wilting. I can’t find anything similar online like what’s happening to mine. Hope you can help Great channel 👍
speaking just a little slower would help when you are not in a soundproof studio. People often use their everyday "street voice" and diction, when recording under less than proper conditions. Just SLOW a bit and pronounce words without slurring or clipping ends off.
Wood mount while nice isn’t too practical as good wood can be heavy. They also provide no ventilation for the roots. One plus point is it mimics how they are in the wild to a certain extent.
There are distinctive markings and pattern when they are young. It doesn’t help that they’ve been commonly sold interchangeably as either Grande or superbum.

Do you mean fishing line? If tied too tight it would. Otherwise, you can just tie and wait for the new growth.

Hi, a photo would help. How’s the watering like? Has anything changed? Could you send it to therootculturist@gmail.com?
not natural shield maturing?
Sir it would be very helpful if you could avoid the sound of water fall because I can't hear everything that you are saying

Is there a reason why the grande is mounted on that plastic mesh and not wood?

unfortunately differentiating both when they are young is quite a challenge. However when you put them side by side they do look different

@@TheRootCulturist Good example of this are the ones sold at WF. Seems like Superbum than Grande.
We observed those circulating in the market during the past few months are mainly Superbums perhaps mistakenly sold as Grandes.
