Discovered the House of Memo Paris just a few weeks ago and fell in love with it instantly. Not just with the richness and beauty of the fragrances, but also the art concepts and stories behind them. I bought Ocean Leather yesterday along with Tigers Nest and love both so much. Winter Palace is another favourite of mine. Thanks for the fantastic review❤️😊❤️

Ocean Leather is amazing fragrance, one of the best frags from Memo, I can easily say that the best spring summer frag of Memo.
I absolutely love Memo Paris especially Lalibela. My next purchase will be Marfa 😍. I can't wait to try Ocean Leather.
Someone may have already said this but Chris's mother from the Fragmental UA-cam channel has this fragrance and likes it, and they seem like a wholesome family so... maybe I would also like this fragrance?

Got burnt by African Leather because I had to blind-buy it and it's now the costliest fragrance I own. I bought it because I love leather and it hardly has any leather in it but what it does have its loads of kitchen spices. Underwhelming.
I had it and literally sold it yesterday. While pleasant, this scent is just too light for me and seems like something I've smelled before. However, I do have and love African leather.
Been hearing alot about this house. I have yet to indulge myself. Time to take the dive. Thanks for video Sebastian!!!!

I think a lot of people would misunderstand this fragrance by the name without this review so well dont and thanks. I liked that u mentioned the aquatic touches only and that the leather isnt dominant, the mandarin and sage combo u mentioned sounds great. I havent tried any Memo frags yet and leather isnt a favorite note for me hence I liked that u said it isnt dominant because it sounds like a good way to expand my pallet and learn to enjoy leather more perhaps. I found this has a touch of Versace PH, the wonderful almost magical floral aquatic note that shined in AdG Essenza, and a huge dose of Clary sage that reminded me, of all things, of Versace Dreamer.
I can see the "happy" connection...to me it smelled of freedom and optimism. This is my favorite aquatic...maybe not a blue aquatic but it still fits in the space of and would work in the situations and weather where you'd want to reach for an aquatic. Love it!
And for me I get more of a warm and round cedar in the base along with a sueded leather.
This sounds like a great one. My favorite memo is Winter Palace.

I am in US and I too am not a fan of "aquatic" scents but "aquatic touches" don't sound bad. I love basil and mandarin. Sounds interesting. Bottle is nice. I haven't tried any of the Memo perfumes.
The opening of the fragrance reminded me for acqua di gio
Interesting although not a violet fan. However, mandarin and sage notes together sound very nice. Memo Paris is a great perfumer. Great review. Thank you.

I do like the leather series though I don't own any yet. My favorite is African Leather. I am also not a huge fan of marine aquatic fragrances (Zoologist Squid is one exception), but the way you say it is not that aquatic and is more aromatic, peaks my interest. I love a good aromatic fragrance.

As always, great review Sebastian. I can’t say I’m interested in this one. Although I like Memo’s bottles and leather theme, I haven’t found one I love (Italian Leather for a quick second, but it passed before I making a purchase.) Just by the name, I would think it was inspired by Ganymede, which I love.
Love Memo Paris! Would be very curious to how this smells and to get my nose on it as I love all of their compositions. My favorite is African Leather. Great review as always Sebastian

As a woman I really love this scent but find it more a masculine scent. I also love sintra, Luxor oud and Marfa. Too bad the brand is so expensive 😭.

Tried today: for me it's nice, simple "soapy" fragrance, nothing too special. P.S. 300$ ... nah.

Yeah I know that price is steep, but you can find it, somewhere else cheaper, just type the name in, I really like it tho, but not the price of course 😫

I love those 2 and I'm really digging the Cuirs Nomades collection. I find those 2 to have very smooth but noticeable leather accords👌🏼top notch stuff if you ask me

I am a fan of Memo Paris and would love to own all of their leathers. Leather fragrances are one of my favorite genres.
I sometimes wonder if you know that fragrance houses do not disclose their full formula and the "notes" they release or most of the time the "perceived notes". So when you are wondering were that aquatic feel is coming from, its aroma chemicals (could be calone, cascalone, ultrazur, maritima and so on). Just because they don't offically release "aquatic notes" does not mean that there are none in the fragrance.
Of course, I do. Do you think I don't just because I question it? I would prefer a brand to list the notes that the fragrance is actually about rather than keep it secret. I don't freaking like secrecy and makes me wonder why they call a fragrance ocean leather and there aren't any officially oceanic notes listed. That's not good marketing. If a person who doesn't like marine notes in fragrances like me sees the notes list and doesn't see marine notes listed blind buys it and all they smell is marine notes because they are so sensitive to the notes would be quite maddening. Hence why I would question it! Make sense?

My favorite Memo fragrance Marfa! It's a pretty tuberose scent.
Have yet to try any from this house. This one sounds interesting. What stores carry these? Would be nice to go in and sample.
It's a long lost scent for me. This is a copy of something I've been after since late 70s, Iran and Greece.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of leather fragrances - so I haven't been too keen on trying this line. It's probably because the first leather fragrance I tried was Rhinoceros from Zoologist, which was too medicinal and dry and it turned me off of the whole genre.
Been waiting for this one to get some attention - looks like a winner! Save The Ocean!

They are different, this seems smoother and the MB is sharper herbal quality is dry versus this stuff is more smooth, slight creamy! :)

This is part if their leather series. Memo has other fragrances that don't feature leather but all the fragrances in their leather line do feature leather note.

Ocean leather is not really a leather fragrance to begin with. Marine touches here and there, some aquatic as well. Dry down is frankly not so good, although leather is there. It’s probably easy to wear leather. Much better choices in the memo leather collection than this one.
