Yo Avio, which is better? Italian Leather or African Leather?
I’m new at getting some quality fragrances. And I blind bought African Leather and I was a little concerned 2 sprays on the skin was a punch in the face opening and I wasn’t sure if I was gonna like it. But it settled after about 15 minutes I found myself being pulled in by it and it just kept getting better.
Great list. African leather is amazing. I don’t own it yet, but plan to pick up a bottle this fall

I just smelled Aoud lemon mint off my decant. Very different, the oud is almost gasoline like

@@Teamshmo Alot. Just haven't been craving fresh or oud lately so I'm not crazy about it but I feel like I will be in the summer. That's usually when I wear oud. It's addicting af! Plenty of 5ml decants on eBay tho so get one
At first it is strong but the dry down its very nice last more than 10 hours.

The issue I've encountered with nearly all Mancera scents is the overwhelming baby powder drydown.
It's not a issue it smells great
Ive been trying to get Aoud Lemon Mint for a month now from discounters, it just disappears in seconds ;( if i have to pay full retail id rather get a new PDM bottle from discounters. Aaaaaaa decisions decisions...

Just sold my bottle of Aoud Lemon Mint. The lemon and almond makes it smell similar to Guerlain L’homme Ideal Cologne but there’s something about it that makes it smell almost... greasy? Not sure if that’s the oud or the leather doing that. Aoud Blue Notes does the same thing for me.
Casamorati 1888 is one of my secret weapons. Luckily, the sandalwood and birch really come out on my skin with a slightly fresh/powdery nuance from the florals. Thing lasts forever on me...
Ash- Any chance of more updates on Fragrances for the scent impaired, er, I mean the over 40 crowd? We're always in dire need of nudges to stay current.... I say as I eye my dusty bottle of Acqua Di Gio
Please don’t be offended by this but, I still have a decant sample of Orion, and it smells similar to MB Explorer on the dry down. 🤷♂️ So I can never bring myself to buy a full bottle, I’ve got way too many “Aventus vibe” scents 🤦♂️ I don’t need one smelling like Explorer.
Glad to see a Tiziana Terenzi fragrance highlighted. I prefer Orion to Aventus and I own both of them. All of their stuff is super high quality and lasts forever on my skin also.

Your clip caught my attention with Mancera’s Lemon Mint as I was thinking of blind buying for Spring ... I’m assuming it’s unisex and that’s my question for you... there are several Mancera’s that really appeal to me based on what I’m hearing and reading but I question if they’re all unisex or are they just marketing to the masses. I like a ‘masculine leaning’ in some of my fragrances but I feel there’s a line where you don’t want to cross. Anyways interested in your opinion on Lemon Mint, Red Tobacco, and Black Vanilla (For a woman) ? 💞

Aoud lemon mint is 🔥
I have a question I hope you can answer. What is your opinion on whether or not colognes should be refrigerated? I heard it makes them last longer, others say it is bad for them.
Keep them at 18 degrees is ok. I keep mine in a wine cooler at that as the room I store them in is not AC so gets up to around 40c in there. 18 is about a standard room temp.

You should try saharian wind from mancera .cheaper and very close to african leather ..I like it better actually
I get a lot of oud in the dry down from African Leather, similar dry down to Oud for Greatness I think. I prefer African Leather..
African leather should be called moroccan leather because of the spices

Idk if you would agree Ash, but i feel like Ombré Nomad by Louis Vuitton has a leather profile despite being a rose/Oud combo and it’s not one i see talked about often. I love it. I have Dua’s version of it but it’s an amazing scent in my opinion that no one is rly wearing!

Hey Ash, I have sampled African leather and I did like it. I feel like I noticed a similarity between it and a gorgeous cheapie. Christianio Ronaldo legacy in the blue bottle. OBVIOUSLY, AL is more complex (so is the price) and quality but, wondered if you could see a similar aroma. Thanks

I had a super strong “cuba” fragrance which was called prestiege many years ago and i never smelled such a fragrance on anyone else, after researching it years later I found out its Cubas version of Thierry Muglers Angel men. I ordered it and wow were they right. Still have never smelled that type of scent on anyone.
