Good choice on the Yamaha. I have owned 2 Mercs on bass boats years ago, a Suzuki 115 on a 21' skiff, Yamaha 250 SHO on 22' bay boat and now a Yamaha 300 on 24' bay boat. Any new bay boats for me in the future will have Yamaha or Suzuki.
ETBreamBuster-- loved your take on this video. Nicely done and clearly honest. Really enjoyed your preferences to spend your quiet time while in the boat-same for me. Good fishing!!!
Sir, you are about as genuine and honest as they come. Great review and video. I am looking at the Xpress now. Boat show in a couple of weeks so I might get one depending on what they have to offer. Thank you for the video! God Bless you!
I have a 2022 H17 with the 90sho. I have got it to 48.6 with a 21p prop. There is still a little more left but that was in the later part of break in period. Either way the H17 is a great boat and Im very happy with it and its alot more boat than my Ranger 178 was.
Do you have any videos with the actual boat in it, or are they all close ups of you looking at the camera? Just asking 'cus I'd really like to see the whole boat for a few seconds.
I have the 2013 X 17 and I cannot get anything over a 6 ft 6 rod in there without damaging the tip. I stuck my brand new G Loomis nrx 843s 7 foot rod in there and it got stuck. yes stuck it broke my $600 rod. common sense says you only have 6 ft until it hits the bow of the boat going to the other side . all you got to do is take a tape measure measure to the tip of the boat and you'll see where the rod has to go beyond that. from the rod Locker to the tip of the boat is less than 7 ft. at the very tip of the boat it is very unfinished very sharp metal openings were the rod can get stuck in there like mine did.
Hate to hear that from you. I use rod socks on all my rods, even my ultralights. I have never measured it but it holds them. I am sure the 6 foot they tell you is what finished out and like you side, it is bare metal past that, but I have never had a problem with mine. I had 13 rods in there and 3 of them were over 7 foot, with two of them being the 8 foot crappie rods.
@@61ranger188 if you measure from the end of your Rod Locker to where your rods going it has to bend around the other side of the boat. I wish my rods would fit I'm selling my boat just because of it. that's crazy that yours holds that my mind won't. you made a very nice video and thank you for responding.
Awesome review - thinking about buying one.
@@rmfishing9979 I recommend it.

I ain’t interested in going that fast, but yes, they are a lot of boat for a 17’ er.
What brand prop? 3 blade?
@eagleclaw6
@@benlandry6373 its the Power Tech 21p ss 3 blade that came on it.

Great review, these Xpress hulls are possibly the best out there.
