- Swamp Thing: The Animated Series
Based on the DC Comics series, this is the story of a brilliant botanist, Dr. Alec Holland, who invents an amazing plant-growth formula to end world hunger. Unfortunately, when evil genius Anton Arcane and his Un-Men henchcreatures try to steal the formula, they blow up his lab and send Alec Holland, covered with flaming formula, fleeing into the swamp. There, deep in the primeval muck, the formula begins to work, combining Holland's body and genius intellect with the swamp life, creating Earth's only hope . . . SWAMP THING!

I heard this before Wild Thing and used to sing the lyrics to Swamp Thing to it and thinking it wasn't as good as "The Original Swamp Thing One".

I love how an evil scientist teamed up with a voodoo man, a zombie, and a hardcore gardener and we just didn't question any of it as kids.

R.I.P Len Carlson. Voice of Swamp Thing. He was also Herc Stormsailer in Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors, Putter in season 1 of Popples (1986), Mr. Pip in Birdz, and Minimus and Snotalus in Atomic Betty.
He was also Ganon in The Legend of Zelda cartoon.

Who came here after watching the dc remake ep1
I noticed toward the end of the broadcast syndicated run of the DIC version of G.I. Joe, several/and or many other DIC cartoons used the same background music. One day I was watching three episodes of Swamp Thing "Falling Red Star", and "Legend of the Lost Cavern", and a few episodes of season 2 of the Double Dragon cartoon “Shadow Khan”, “Shadow Claw”, “Virtual Reality Bytes”, “Doom Claw”, “Superhighway Warriors”, “Spirit in the Sword”, and “Ancients Arrive”, and the background music was the same it was on G.I. Joe. As for the instrumental version of the Swamp Thing theme song. I liked it.

'The Anatomy Lession' story in this cartoon or seen a John Constantine cameo, but it's kind of funny that when this cartoon was on the air Rick Vietch was trying to do a Swamp Thing story that had Swampy traveling back through time and ending up as the wooden cross that Christ was crucified on,

Superman mentions "beef bourguignon" in one of his intros, in which he encounters another version of himself. It's a reference to the comics, in which Lois Lane cooks him beef bourguignon (with ketchup) and it becomes his favorite meal.
