I’m right there with you. I came here to rewatch the Swamp Thing cartoon but since they only produced five episodes, I’m going to blow through those in no time. With that being said, there are a few cartoons that I wasn’t able to see in their entirety. So My question is, what cartoon series should I watch next? Mighty Max, the Phantom 2040, Monster Force, Exosquad, or the Inhumanoids?

    Wow... I am very old.
I also had this thing on VHS. I'll never forget the cover art. It's permanently seared into my brain. I don't think it ever aired on any of the networks. I watched it nearly every day when I was roughly 6 years-old or so. I had just about all the figures, and even the transducer. I haven't seen this thing in damn near 30 years, but as I watch, everything comes flooding back. Swamp Thing had a cool voice. I never saw any other episodes. My father bought me a trade paperback of the original Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson run of the comics called Dark Genesis, and Swamp Thing was unable to speak in it. It was much darker and much more adult than the cartoon, obviously. I was probably 8 when I first read that. Couldn't go back to the cartoon after. I still have it in a box somewhere.

Man of Muck who'd henceforth devote his time to battling Arcane and his Unmen. Considered only a legend by the locals and thus left alone to his own devices, Swamp Thing operated a hi-tech "TreeLab" to continue his experimentation.
1990 proved to be a big year for Swamp Thing. Along with the launch of the television series, Kenner (now part of Hasbro) had entered into a $6 million deal to produce a line of action figures based on the character. Reed and Brue Shelly pitched an animated series to CBS to promote those figures which largely ignored Moore’s contributions and focused on the original Wein/Wrightson work. When pitching Swamp Thing to Fox, story editors Reed and Bruce Shelley outlined eight potential plotlines, involving such out-of- swamp experiences as space aliens, witches and lost Indian tribes. Five episodes were produced by DiC Entertainment when CBS ultimately turned the show down, leading to it landing at Fox. Only 5 costly half hours were filmed, however; the pilot episode aired on October 31, 1990 on Fox as part of Fox Kids Network programming block, and these were given a trial as a miniseries in April of 1991 as a midseason replacement show for the falied Fox Kids endeavor Piggsburg Pigs!. Swamp Thing eschewed parody for larger-than-life adventure, endeavoring admirably to honor the spirit (and the No matter how hard the DIC staff tried (and this was one of the company's better efforts), it would take more than a talking shrubbery to pry viewers away from CBS’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Though given 2 tries from April to May and reran until early August 3, 1991, Swamp Thing was replaced both times by reruns of Piggsburg Pigs, the very thing it had been assigned to supplant. After Fox gave up, DIC turned Swamp Thing to NBC, which featured the show on Chip & Pepper's Cartoon Madness in fall of that year, The Disney Channel, USA Network, and The Sci-Fi Channel would syndicate it years later. Still, DIC didn’t completely give up on the Leafy One. A caricature of Swamp Thing still occasionally appeared in the studio trade-magazine advertising, keeping company with such certified DIC moneyspinners as Inspector Gadget and Dennis the Menace (both q.v.). And in 1993, the existing Swamp Thing episodes were released to VHS.
