"By mixing this yellow stuff with this blue stuff, I have successfully created.. GREEN STUFF! FOR THE GOOD OF MANKIND!"
"Why Don't you pick on a lifeform your own size?!"
"That's just what we had in mind, green guts!"
ROTFL, XD. Yo, this show makes the old superfriends cartoon look like some groundbreaking stuff.
Swamp Thing was originally turned down to CBS, leading to its mid-season debut replacement on FOX as part of the FOX Kids Network, first previewed on October 31, 1990, then it was followed 4 episodes 6 months later, given as a miniseries trial, airing from April 23 until the series' end through May 18, 1991, and rerun on May 25 of that year. Given two (2) tries, FOX Kids rerun the show from July 6 and continued until August 3, 1991, when it was replaced by both times of Piggsburg Pigs! reruns, the very thing it had been assigned to supplant it was brought to replace. It lasted one week on Fox starting on Saturday mornings. This show was aired during what I like to call "the golden era" of Fox. (Married... with Children, America's Most Wanted, The Simpsons, In Living Color, Parker Lewis Can't Lose, True Colors, Get a Life, Babes, Good Grief, Comic Strip Live, The Sunday Comics, Top of the Heap, as well as the drama Beverly Hills 90210, D.E.A., Against the Law) The series was part of the FOX Kids grand lineup of some of the greatest animated shows ever during its short-lived 1 year run; right up there with Bobby's World, Tom & Jerry Kids, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Fox's Fun House, Piggsburg Pigs!, and Peter Pan and the Pirates, that were put of FOX Kids' schedule during the early 1990's.
Despite the show's limited number of episodes/shows, Swamp Thing was later aired on NBC, which incorporated and reran intro as part of Chip and Pepper's Cartoon Madness programming block in 1991, which was only seen during fall 1991 until its Saturday morning cartoon lineup ended in summer 1992, alongside Space Cats, Yo, Yogi!, Captain N and the New Super Mario World, Pro Stars, and Wish Kid. This show was also aired during what I like to call "the golden era" of NBC. (Another World, Days of our Lives, Saturday Night Live, Santa Barbara, Cheers, Night Court, The Cosby Show, A Different World, The Golden Girls, Matlock, L.A. Law, Unsolved Mysteries, In The Heat of the Night, Empty Nest, and its spin-off Nurses, Dear John, Quantum Leap, Wings, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Law & Order, Blossom, Sisters, I'll Fly Away, The Adventures of Mark & Brain, Eerie, Indiana, Man of the People, Pacific Station, Reasonable Doubts, Flesh 'n' Blood, The Torkelsons, Walter & Emily, Seinfeld, The Powers That Be, Mann & Machine)

He looked so happy when he mixed yellow and blue to make green.
he may be big,green,and gruesome,but he's a good guy!!!
The conversations between Sabretooth and Senator Kelly take yet another violent turn...
Rest in Peace Len Carlson, your voice will be missed!
Yeah, Hakumei2226- pretty close to the orginal
comics but who here wouldn't want to see
Allan Moore's version on tv? Nah, too cool
to ever be done... still this cartoon rocked
and they canceled it, as well:( Damn you Fox-
I wanted more Swamp thing cartoons!!
I think it's so funny that Arcane showed up with skin-man and the snake guy but after the fire starts in the lab the guy with the gas-mask left with skin-man
The Centipede Un-Man resembles a Taxxon from Animorphs. The only difference is the Un-Man is wearing pants.
I mean, this was the late 90's cartoon. To my knowledge, there was never any other.
4:00 Swamp Thing: "I'll take that!" lol
Dangerous? I guess you're right!
omg! He's on fire, IT CANT BE!!!!
I remember this cartoon, it was pretty good.
@finnishnin
That's a good point. I wonder if Animorphs took the design because this only made five episodes? Which is too bad, I think.
@finnishnin Now you've got me wondering which would be a worse idea: trying to get some sort of crazy giant centipede pants onto a Taxxon or convincing Weed Killer to do away with wearing pants.
I'm finding myself very much inclined to think that the latter would be the worse course of action.
back then.. no chance.
Nowadays, it could be something they could show on Adult Swim or Sci-Fi without issue.
the bat was the coolest
So.... someone was taking pictures of all these things so it could go in the journal?
This IS that cartoon.
Wasn't there another Swamp Thing cartoon in the late 90s?
They should have made Alan Moore's version...
Tomahawk look like Rambo
YOUR LIFE BEGAN WITH CHEMISTRY, AND SO IT SHALL END-whahaha!!
swamp thing sounds a tad like Optimus Primal.
the voice actors are vaguly familur. i think i know them from the X-men cartoon
@deadman00 Yep. Arcane is the same voice as Sabretooth.
and why is arcane stereotypical Dracula?
Is that Adam West?
@Zardul
It's not green, it's blellow! Lol
@MrThebakugannerd He's even more so in the comics.
not close alec holland got beat up in the comics then the lab exploded
Doesn't sound like you really know.
why is he fighting a white screaming jay hawkins
yea I know, this cartoon is chop filled with animation goofs.
6:18 weed killer? wtf

@Zardul lol
