😂😂 the cheapest ADU for $2800. Thats ridiculous. $2800 in Tennessee pays my rent, car note, car insurance, gas cell phone bill, cable, light bill, food for the month, 401k and still take a nice little vaction to florida. I see why people be leaving makes no sense.

The property owner is going to make the renter pay the monthly mortgage payment on the entire property. $33,600 a year rent to live in a crackerbox, with just a parking space and no garage. Ridiculous.
I will stick with Illinois, my paid off house runs me 175/mth in taxes now for a 1k sq ft home. 4 grocery stores within 10 min drive, Doctors and Dentist 5 min drive.
Yes, Texas, where property taxes are thru the roof compared to California. Median property taxes rose 26% from 2019 to 2023 and are capped at 10% per year. So much for the affordable housing myth Texas puts out.

The main house is almost on top of the ADU? I thought you needed certain feet away from the main house
You only need to be 10 ft away from the main house
Yes 10ft, but not all adult’s abide by that.
I think if a detached garage is present it can be converted without restriction. New construction of ADU Myst have space from house limit.

The funny part is $2,800 wouldn't even cover half the mortgage on this property

Prefab shed from Home Depot : $4500. Same size ADU : $80,000. L.A. City-built low income housing unit : $550k . . . 'Splain it to me, Dad . . . 😺😺😺

Crazy anyone who pays that !

Its actually a pretty fair price in LA
I wouldn’t buy a property to add an ADU and lose all those outside space and have someone so close to my main home.
This main house still has a good size yard that is completely private. This is also an investment property, the owner doesn't live there.
