Can you fricken imagine turning up to this that version of Hear My Train as your acid is kicking in!! Goodness me itd be instantly life changing. He changed so many lives for the better even when he was long gone in body.
Thank you Jimi.
I saw him twice trippin on acid. The shows seemed to last forever. All that feed-back sent you places you never imagined. Wild shit was flying out of the amps. He was definitely channelng other dimensions.
@@geraldlavelle3337 that's amazing .. we need this now more than ever
Gerald Lavelle I watched Woodstock and Berkeley on acid and on video it was life changing enough. Can’t imagine how incredible it would of been in person wowsers!

Mrr Cox laying down some serious bass lines in Machine Gun. They were experimenting with technology and sound. 1970 and they were just getting the tour started at this time. Amazing, groundbreaking and thank you for another gem.

Next best thing to
being there
Thanx 🎶😊🎶
@ Daniel J. When I discovered these concerts, for me it was like being on tour with Jimi.
@@paulmorgan2948 jimi is playing better than SRV here Paul... Lol
This place was a great sounding hall (this recording !!, imagine if it had been PROPERLY recorded 😀), And Jimi really gave one Hell of a great performance 👍
couldn’t agree more
I think he is better than SRV. Lol
@@matthewtaylor7355 yep i despise ppl who say srv took inspiration from jimi and made it better, jimi was so much more emotive and creative and just an insane musician even compared to vaugh who was top of the line, jimi #1 since and forever
I wonder if the advances in AI could ever be used to vastly improve these poor recordings I would love to hear 1970 forum in superb quality ,you can hear even in poor quality it's one of his best one's !!!
@@matthewtaylor7355this is jimi leave srv out of this..
An Absolute Honor to have him perform in My Home State !!!
Jason I think I prefer him to SRV here... Lol
Room full of Mirrors is great!! Just because recordings of live versions are so rare.
DU WARST EINE BEREICHERUNG IN MEINER JUGEND,
THANKS JIMI.
Un regalo di Dio , il suono tenero sentimento vita grazie Hendrix ❤️
ITs SO GOOD TO HEAR JIMI PLAY,and TALK TO THE FANS . HE WILL ALWAYs BE THE BEST ,MY FAVORITE GUITARIST ,MUSICIAN,SONGWRITER ,LOVE HIM ALWAYs.
Man they were on FIRE this night. One of the best sets ever. Even better Machine gun here than at the Fillmore imo.
That Filmore concert is pretty hard to beat,,better sound quality IMO
@@headlyfarquinson5646 Definitely a better recording
You are outside of your mind for that. But this version is sick, too.

Fifty years...
RIP Jimi.🎸🎶☮️✊
damn!!! that boy was travelling that night; never heard him like this before
Jimi Hendrix had amazing voice but he can sure play guitar with his left hand thank you for sharing Jimmy peace
Yup, found a new favorite Hear My Train
Good to be able to really hear and feel Billy Cox. Thanks.
Great set! Especially Mr.Cox on Ez rider, and Message of Love.
Billy is amazing.
Met Billy twice & sent him a demo
-which he actually called us about
to praise the band months later! It
blew us away! Unfortunately band
was imploded and now I am solo.
To hear him talk of Jimi was truly
surreal, as was his callback! This
youtube has some old covers of
The Hendrix we did -and more if
interested. Peace 2U ~ RG/XRI
I was there.
Lucky
Can u confirm he used the white strat in the thumbnail pic.
Are your ears still ringing?!
:-)
Bullshit
This man was so advanced its amazing.
Some Jimi covers here if interested.
Peace 2U ~ rg/xr
Way ahead! He had just opened a studio in New York. Still operating today. We're still here in 2020 listening and its more fresh than ever.
RAY GERVATO I’ll check them out. I love trying to play Jimi too! Got to put all your energy into it and let go!
@@Betterthantelly How about the 50th anniversary yesterday! It never ever
gets old. Always new nuances that
escaped our ears previously!... Jimi
Hendrix will always be THE pioneer.
Inspiring us to be our boldest, never
quite as bold or cool as he was tho!
A very very good concert. recording is quite good too. Sounds like Isle of Wight concert, but many beautiful unheard of sounds too. Many thanks.
To carlygtr ,You Have the BEST AUDIO,s of The great GUITAR GOD,S WE LOVE ,THANKS,WILL ALWAYS LISTEN TO WHAT YOU HAVE,. BOB.

Then Check out the royal Albert Hall concert
@@kimmedavid you mean the infamous " flute mess ".....???......this Billy Cox version blows that away.....sorry .....the end of Albert Hall doesn't do it for me.....after the most incredible renditions of Stone Free.....Bleeding Heart....Hear My Train.....Voodoo Child and Little Wing it's very hard for me to sit thru the noise fest of the flute mess....Wild Thing and Smashing of Amps......
@@larrynolletti4594 lol the Song is like 7 minutes long and the fluid plays for like 2 minutes, i cant See how this Ruins the Song especially when jimi was on fire that night and that Solo is amazing
@@kimmedavid compared to the tracks I mentioned....not as good...I prefer the later rework of Roomful of Mirrors with Billy Cox.....studio and live....
@@larrynolletti4594 i dont give a shit what u prefer.
Music is subjective
What a killer show! Thanks!!!
I must admit he is playing better than SRV here....
Thank you.........
Thanks GOD.
Unbelievebale quality!!
AWSOME gig💯💯🔥🔥✊🏾
Jimi once again TAKING ME TO ANOTHER PLAIN IF YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN
I know for sure certain for 56 years, and still once in a while, even on songs I've listened to before, he plays something seemingly impossible to play, but it is another dimension I just didn't hear before. Every time that happens, it brings me up to a new level of appreciation and amazement at the ability and vision (of music and sound) of Mr Hendrix.
Also opens me up to hearing and feeling if other musical forms of other musicians of all types and backgrounds
Also opens me up to seeing and feeling the whatever it is about LIFE... It isn't magical, but just vast lly fantastic for real. Bno tricking , real like Jimi's playing.
@Howard Acquistapace and also for me no other artist, musician has ever touched my soul as Mr Jimi Hendrix did! A truly once in a lifetime human, spirit with such force in music! God Bless Mr Hendrix and you as well my friend
@@cover557
Thank you for the comments and the blessing.
I really appreciate the impression Jimi has had on you.
He was truly singular as a musician, and so like all musicians at same time.
Thanks much again
Yes, It's amazing isn't it?
Wow -- that Hear My Train smokes!! Billy is really grooving.
Thumbs way up!
nice tune up extras! Rare 'Room Full of Mirrors' great comments & vocals.
BADASS gig.
I never get tired of hearing Jimi play he's the most🔥🔥🔥✌💫🎶🎸🎶
holy shit hmt was so dope hell ya
Hear train a coming 🌶🌶🔥🔥🎶🎶✊🏾🔥🔥
"What's that movie, Greasy Slider?" Jimi bringing the dozens, lol.
Rainbow Bridge
people dont realize how funny jimi was man lol. im cracking up at the banter before machine gun at 50:50
Bring mate I think people may have a vague idea of jimis use ov irony etc....
@@matthewtaylor7355 nah “mate” you misread what I meant. I meant that the general public as in non Hendrix fans or people who casually know jimis music likely don’t realize how funny he is because most people only know him for his music and not his sense of humor. But shout out to you for the comment tho.
❤
Just imagine if Billy Cox would have been with Jimi and Mich right from the beginning no drama in the studio but that's life everything happens for a reason I guess
Lol ok but... Noel Redding isn't a good bass and guitar player, too? I like Noel bass line... The Experience as a trio rocked a lot and we're very united, musically...
Billy Cox, a longtime friend of Jimi since the army days. Good great bass guitar player too. I agree...
@@massimilianoguidotti2360 Billy Cox was a better fit for Jimi and Mitch but the older I get things went as they were suppose to.
The original Experience with Noel had more edge.
More groove with Billy.
Don't forget Buddy Miles on drums, great voice too! From my understanding, what I've read is that Jimi Hendrix went to London after some impressive showings in NYC on the advice of Chas Chandler because the music scene there was "THE PLACE TO BE" so-to-speak and Jimi hooked up with Mitch Mitchell (best name ever) and Noel Redding, and the Experience was born. Listening and watching the live footage, it seems that Mitchell and Jimi had a really good connection, as far as the two bass players, I'm not sure I favor one or the other, but the Band of Gypsys music was a new style of music so Billy Cox was the man of the hour, and used to jam with Jimi in the US army.
Very good
Loving Machine Gun
I was there. Seems like the tickets were under $10. Good times!
Lying bitch
Amazing ! What the hell !!!
21:55 Before & after
Wonder if he's playing his Flying Vee, or black Les Paul here especially Red House. Deff has hollow woman tone going on. Sounds Amazing. My favorite version of Here my train
"Sometime the road can get kinda hard ya know what I mean?" Love the extra lyrics he throws in there at the end.
He tended to switch to Gibsons when playing Red House, maybe on other blues numbers too. Sometimes it was a white SG.
Great
RED HOUSE
Hendrix wardrobe woulda looked sick in the 70s
I don't think so, It was a common wardrobe in hippie circles in the 70s.
@@kentbergstrom3020
No one else dressed quite like Jimi, or to the extent.
Man wearing chokers , silk like transparent fabrics, and the colors and designs.
There was am article in INTERVIEW magazine around 1986, with a full page picture of Jimi in a yellow outfit, extolling just this point about his garb
good shit
Please advise how to find this on a CD or record ? Anybody to now the name and the release??
28:10 Red House.
51:52 Machine Gun.
I prefer this to SRV. I there something wrong with me. Lol....
Nope

And for the rest of 1970, the milk in Dane County tasted a little funny....
impossible.
Jimi had shit handlers. Tune the mans guitar. Get him some new wires. He should've been treated better.
I wud listen to jimi with flat strings rather that clown SRV with those stupid oversized notes on his guitar strap. He had poor handlers
