Admire the fact after he lost his Dad & his brother, he kept farming. Good Guy! Plus, I like when farms are passed-on and are kept in the family. Hate to seem them split-up.
I had a neighbor that bought a 4000 new. My understanding is that a 4000 is basically the same as a 4020 except for the transmission/ rear end which was the same as the 3020?
Cool to see that 1850 came from Ed Priebe. My family has done a lot of business with them over the years. In fact I currently work for them as a mechanic.

Keep doing these local farmer interviews. Its great to know the history of our area like this!
Always said of the old fender radios, the neighbors can hear it better than you can.
Love the old school farmers It reminds me of my upbringing on a dairy
farm and my farming days
A guy in my grandpa's milk route had a 4000 diesel he bought new. I remember seeing the back end of it in the lean to on the barn.
Really enjoy these videos. I try to not be a farmer, but I just bought my fifth tractor yesterday. My first John Deere. 😁
Loved hanging out with Richard Knight. I lived on O and he fixed my IH and Allis tractors.
These are great videos documenting a part of family farm life
Good videos man! Would you be able to do one on a 4040 JD? We don't have it, but we did use one.
These videos are great! There's just something really interesting about hearing the history of a tractor.
True about the old radio. Big reason most of are hard of hearing today.
I've got a late 4010 that has a black dash original and the 4020 tach. I about lost my mind checking to see if that was legit.
Yup

I had a 72 4020 gas, I found a 69 404 from a 4020. I switched motors, it cut my fuel use in half.
Man he stole that 1206! Gotta have a few colors on the farm. Pretty neat story on the 4000.
9 4000 powershifts made
Gas. There were more diesels
Didn’t know that
We got a 856 farmall gas on the farm. I know those are uncommon
Hope you get to the story about the 1206 hiding behind the 4000
Yeah you need another video on the 1206 behind it.... Thats a screamer goin down a track!
