- Now this is a FUCKN MASTERPIECE!
This is how this song should have originally been played on the album.
In this video I react to Megadeth She Wold Live @ Rude Awakening.
If you sen my previous reaction to the album version of She Wolf here: • Amazing Reaction To Me...
then you know I had less than stellar things to say about it. But this performance at Rude Awakening completely washed away my negative thoughts and blew my mind.
Guys let me know down below what your thoughts are about this performance. Don't forget to like and comment on this video and subscribe for more content.
The ending was so goooooooooood
:)
Jimmy DeGrasso and Al Petrelli are the most underrated players of the Megadeth family. Session monsters! And experts in their craft for sure....and thanks for bringing back the booty girls lol
Agree
I think the Drover brothers are the most underated but James is fantastic
@@michaelhodilofficial Shawn Drover was just incredibly boring live, he looked asleep.
YA I liked his solo on dread and the fugitive mind
I think this lineup is the best.even better than marty Friedman and nick menza
The album version is more appealing to all audiences, the tuning of the instruments, specially guitars, is more melodic. This live version is pure metal at it's best, the tuning is more aggressive, faster and savage. That's the difference
Those are the descriptive words to describe Megadeth. Aggressive,Fast and Savage.
Dave Mustaine is the greatest!!!!
Sailor John’s Vlog indeed
Agreed
MEGADETH RULES BRO!!!!
Unique music composer
Have you come across anything reminiscent to this quality?
Dave Mustaine is a living legend. Without a doubt, my all time favorite musician.
Omg!! I had forgotten about that drum solo. Absolutely off the walls!! 🥁🥁🥁
Same here. Have to watch my DVD from rude awakening
This was the best megadeth concert for sure
HOOK IN MOUTH from the same live performance or Ashes in Mouth. Won’t be disappointed
Drummer: Jimmy Degrasso
Lead guitar: Al Pitrelli
Bass: David Ellefson (like always)
Rhythm, Lead guitar and vocals: Dave Mustaine.
The other 2 i guess you knew?
Thank you for this! I'll have to look more into Jimmy and Al they were AMAZING!
@@TheAdventuresofTNT Al also played for Alice Cooper duing the "Poison" days. Check out some of that live stuff. Al is an amazing performer and musician.
the time that David Ellefson left the band was really sad for fans, not cool another person playing in David role
@@TheAdventuresofTNT degrasso has played for several major acts throughout his impressive career. Pitrelli has been with the trans Siberian orchestra ever since leaving megadeth. They basically filled in when Nick Menza was let go and Marty Friedman chose to quit. Marty actually suggested him and coached him for the first several shows. Neither stayed in for very long.
This whole performance is amazing. Best-in-class versions of so many Megadeth classics.
The drummer is Jimmy DeGrasso. He used to play with Suicidal Tendacies and is friends with Al Pitrelli (the other guitarist). Al recommended Jimmy to join the band to replace Nick Menza. Al Pitrelli has been in Savatage and Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Last part of that drum solo sounded like a Harley Davidson idling
By far one of my favorite live Megadeth songs. It's just too bad they don't play it like this anymore since Al left the band.
I was at this show recorded in downtown Phoenix, AZ. I was so close you can clearly hear me yell between songs a couple of times on the CD & DVD. Al Pitrelli was the lead guitar on this show and album. He is best known from Trans Siberian Orchestra. I was about 15 to 20 feet from him with how they were set up for this song. Jimmy DeGrasso was on drums at this time. I thought he did a great job. He was always sort of a gun for hire who before this most notably played with I believe Queensryche. They were really on their game this night. I had seen them on a warm up show for this recording 2 months earlier. They were originally supposed to record this in Brazil I think. But plans changed and Dave wanted to come home and record it in a small venue. Sound was excellent and they all brought their game that night. Great reaction brother. Glad you enjoy Megadeth so much!
Indeed. These guys brought their A game to this performance. I've seen some of the other Megadeth live performances and I must say this is clearly one of the best I've ever heard. They usually have mixing issues but this was great!
Do you now if this was the last consert Al and Jimmy was with Megadeth ? I have heard that for a couple of years ago.
Maybe therefor Al and Dave did a high-5 at the end of the song ?
Marty was the lead guitarist for this album
@@oliverdahlberg838 sorry, but you are incorrect. I saw them twice on this tour, including the recorded show. I was about 20 feet from Al. This was the World Needs A Hero album lineup, the album She Wolf was on. Marty was gone by them. If you listen to the album he introduces the band including Al Pitrelli.
@@skins28dg
Doesn't matter how close you were to him, She-Wolf is on Cryptic Writings...
This is what Marty Friedman said about She Wolf: A staple of our live set, the 'Detroit Rock City' section (as I like to call it) gave us a great opportunity to stretch out and really do some jamming in concert.
Now that's what I'm talking about ✊🤟✊🤟...It's Al Petrelli on guitar and Jimmy Degrasso on Drums...This whole Show is Amazing for Live Performances...Maybe check out "Hook in Mouth" or "Ashes in your Mouth" another Great one is "My Last Words" from the (Peace Sells) album
My favorite part s when Jimmy DeGrasso Drums everyones' soul out of their body for a minute
They are all extremely gifted musicians, but the precision of this drumming is insane.
Soooo good! Jimmy Degrasso, what a drummer! Absolutely killed it 👏👏👏🤘
Vortex and The Disintegrators are the two best songs on cryptic writings , fast , killer riffs and have the best solos .
That vortex riff is one of my fav megadeth riffs ever
They opened with this song when I saw them in Memphis. Man, I lost my mind.
Thank you for turning me on to this track. I was always accustomed to the original version. But, after I watched your review, this live version is now my favorite. Thank you for your outstanding reviews ❤️
Dude after I found this version I only listen to it when I jam she wolf. Those drums are so kick ass
@@TheAdventuresofTNT I couldn't agree more, as I play drums.
Dude I’ve been watching your reactions for a while now and fuck dude they way you appreciate megadeth and what skills they have it just blows my mind being a metal head since I was 3 months old and now I’m 46 and my live for metal will never die just want to thank for the appreciation for metal I love all metal bands I still think dimbag brought a whole New meaning to shredding RIP dimebag totally love your reactions proud to be a prescriber of your channel keep us coming with outstanding reactions
Have a happy new Mary bro
Stu
@Stuart Pratley -If dime hadn't been such a loyal brother (can't ever be knocked for that) can you imagine what kind of ripping, shredding melee's we would be listening to if he had accepted Dave's invitation to join the band??? I can't. I am sure that they would have created a new genre! Dave and Dime together... incomprehensible
R.I.P.
Hey TNT. React to: My Last Words by Megadeth.
It's a pure, raw thrash metal piece. And my all time favorite song.
Peace Sells album is an absolute masterpiece
Yes! We need My Last Words man.
Glad someone else also wanted to recommend My Last Words. It's my favorite song from Peace Sells followed by the Conjuring and Good Mourning/Black Friday
@@KokuouNoShinobi same
my last words and good morning black friday but the whole album rules and i dont tbink tnt has reacted tp any peace sells songs
Megadeth - My Last Words - my tribute !

Great reaction as always! I was going to suggest this version but everyone beat me to it lol. When I listen to she wolf it's always this performance! I prefer this version as well.
If you really want a nice change up you should look up the extended demo version of Symphony of Destruction it has a similar extended guitar harmony part that got clipped for the final version.. They did do it live as well a few time like they did here with She-Wolf.
Sometimes songs need to trimmed and tightened for the album and the entire original version plays better in a live setting Megadeth do it so well.. Their bend from song to song is unmatched man it’s crazy how they link into each other. 👌
Since you are getting in this live album, check out Hook in Mouth. Underrated song as well !
Best song on the 3rd album.
I'm not a fish.
@@adameves5970 I'm a man.
@@threadworm437 E - We elect them, E - We eject them (even if it's a republican being unrightfully ousted by a sour democrat house hell bent on abuse of power, through non-partisan votes. The impeachment won't come to reality. It's just trial.)
@@adameves5970 Totally agree. its such a great song!
All right, I thought this was a great performance and the dueling guitar's were epic, did not expect for them to follow with a skin pounding like that!! Speaking of which, the imagination and completely different meaning to 'skin pounding' stirred up some VERY unexpected sensations.I'll keep it clean but it wasn't goosebumps that conclusion gave me. OUTSTANDING ending to my night! I moshed with that girl all night in dreamland!!!
And for those of you that have no idea what I'm going on about... Don't EVER cut T off when he is doing his final critique. If you pick up what I'm putting down you will agree with me shortly, those who don't... well you'll never know the best side of the SheWolf. I'm going to have an "encore"
Man I told you to listen to this version of this song a year ago an look you loved it.
This is the best live performance ever ! IMO of course 😂
Agreed. After hearing this version, I can’t even listen to the original album version. I can’t STAND the remastered album.
Thay was an amazing show, my 1st megadeth show. NY city, november of 2001. Same tour. I feel like it was the last of the dave with attitude. Still yelling at people between songs....lol
Pretty sure during the last 10 years he still roasted some people too
Good idea going for the live version..nice reaction..my opinion, always go with live...
I am so glad you chose to watch this version; it’s like an entirely different song.
Off the chain!!!!!! Love this video.
Love this concert I have it awesome reaction dude 🔥🔥🔥❤️☮️💯
From experience, Megadeth, live, is an experience, Dave is an amazing bastard of a guy.
I really appreciate your channel. You have reviewed a bunch of songs by my favorite band, Megadeth. I love your passion and understanding of the musicianship.. again, thank you for making real reviews!
Thank you. I appreciate it. I just started listening to them last year but they've easily become my new favorite band. I love these guys and all their line ups, especially this performance.
For me after the classic line up this was the second best. Degrasso and Pitrelli are so underrated..amazing musicians. The extended dual solo is mind blowing..
Insanely Awesome 🤘🤘
Wow, I completely forgot they did that at the end with the Rude Awekening dvd. That was incredible
Amazing!
Man, I miss seeing MegADetH shows!
Dave did rock! 🤘🏻🎸
Completely different level right there. That's a whole other level of performance
Hell yeah! ur givin tha ppl wut they want!!!! Except More reactions off peace sells!
That solo battle WOW!!!!
Ashes In Your Mouth and My Last Words ...you won’t regret it! 🤘🔥🤘
Haha, booty goes with everything too! Your cool as fuck bro! Love your reactions. BTW, you haven't gotten to the best tracks from So Far, So Good, So What... Try to do "Hook in Mouth", "Into the Lungs of Hell" or "Set the World Afire"...so fricken good all of those.
I was at this recording both Arizona shows Phoenix and Tucson.
Man, you got the metal bug. You get it.
This music is ultimate freedom & expression.
Welcome.
the solo to this performance is probably one of the best solos ever in my opinion
sick sick sick, I have this DVD and the whole concert is kiiiller
its also like 3 steps faster!! lol AWESOME!! 🤘🤘
Now that youve gotten into Megadeth and Metallica both, Id love to hear your opinions on Mechanix (Megadeth) vs Four Horseman (Metallica).
There alot of controversy over the two songs because they are basically the same. :)
Also, if you want to check out some REAL guitar playing ... You need to watch James Durbin's America's Got Talent performance of Sammy Hagar's "Heavy Metal" :) He gets, perhaps, the best guitarist ever to help him out on it!! :D #ZakkWylde #BlackLabelSociety
The drummer was Nick Menza, he left due to "i think" a knee issue not long after this. He also passed not all that long ago. I feel he was a huge part of the bands success from the Metallica split up to this point. I saw them live with and without Menza and there was a noticeable difference. One of the worst days of my drummer's life was hearing of Nick's Passing.
Soooooo f--king awesome
Yeah this is a great live performance Megadeth killed it .
Very good
Hey T. I think you oughta get the book, Sweating Bullets by Martin Popoff. It goes through their entire career from formation to Super Collider (2013) and focuses on the albums, including Track By Track breakdowns and commentary by the band members, present and past. It's informative and entertaining and for a huge fan like myself, it's a must-have!. You should have it too! I usually prefer studio versions, but the live version on this packs way more punch, has way more energy and creates a better atmosphere IMO. That's Al Pitrelli (Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Alice Cooper etc.) on guitar and Jimmy DeGrasso (Ozzy Osbourne, Suicidal Tendencies, White Lion, etc.) on drums. Cheers!
I noticed that you enjoy Virgin Steele in a video, so maybe you could react to their song Dominion Day! You will not be disappointed (:
Acá en baterísta demuestra características de mérito con lo cual lo mejor el baterísta demente resalta por mucho 🇸🇻🇸🇻🇸🇻
You're actually right (in the beginning) when you said "It sounds commercial". Dave was trying to go that direction around that point which was why they brought in producer Dan Huff (and Bud Prager as Manager). As Dave explained "I've sold 100,000 albums, he's sold 1,000,000...Okay I'm paying attention".
This is definitely THE version of the song for fans.
Fuuccckk yeeeaaahhh!!!!! WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Megadeth Rules Always 🤘
6:33 Jimmy DeGrasso on drums. Played for Y&T and Suicidal Tendencies.
If i'm late to say this, I am sorry. But if you want to see how awesome megadeth is live you need to react to a video from "that one night dvd" I've heard crowds sing the songs a thousand times. but i had never heard a crowd sing the solo's.
I hear alot of vintage era Thin Lizzy in those twin guitars, I'd be sure Dave was a fan (they all were)
Yeah I was hearing Maiden also.
I don’t know anyone could prefer the album version over this. This is magic
You need to check out the instrumental version. It's not what you're expecting. It's Marty Friedman playing flamenco.
The better version!
Drummer is Jimmy De Grasso and guitarist is Al Pitrelli, most likely have told you before. Just wanted to mention :D
OMG THAT BOOTY DANCE AT THE END 😜
The live ones are the best
State of the art.
This version is one of the best versions
So, is the acoustic version next???
7:01 living that mega-life lol
try 1000 times good bye live from same concert absolutely crazy
That album in general was a little more commercial, as they say. This is a great song. Definitely sped it up
Please please please someone request Testament songs. It's making me sad that he doesn't know them.
I think this song was originally made for a movie soundtrack. That's the difference between live and the original song
And I totally agree with My Last Words next! About a game of Russian roulette that a man is way too excited to play 😆
It’s a very radio friendly song for sure but still great
Al Pitrelli + Jimmy Degrasso /guitar & drummer
I love the studio version even more than this but that's my opinion. That being said love the solos in this and I love this
10:37 🤣🤣
i think one thing that made this version better is it’s faster
Please react to Hook in Mouth from the same concert
Dave is a God oh, but he has a really bad habit of firing bandmates lol there's so many of them. I think the unit he has now he's going to keep. He really really loves the latest edition on guitar, Kiko
Kiko is amazing! I want to say that I like his style the most but I really enjoy Marty and Chris as well.
@@TheAdventuresofTNT I'm not sure if I threw this at you before. Check out Chris Poland return to metalopolis. It was his first solo debut after leaving Megadeth. Unbelievable guitar work. He's in a band called Omh home now. Very much jazz fusion. You remember Megadeth drummer Nick menza? He was playing live with Ohm when he died, right on stage, so sad
Live versions of heavy metal are always better. No production, just 4 guys killing it!
Listen to kill the king next.
This version was better. You should listen to Never Walk Alone from United Abominations. It’s about mustaine’s journey from and to Christianity and it rocks....hard. Cool video with amazing shredding guitar solos and cool time changes. Different lineup with Glen Drover (guitar), James LoMenzo (bass guitar), and Shawn Drover (drums) and Mustaine of course. The drover brothers had great synchronicity. I think it was their best album since RIP with Dystopia being just a hair better. Sleepwalker and the title track rock as well.
You are ready for Megadeth - Addicted To Chaos
Please react to Metalite (swedish group) - Cloud connected.
I know this is a music reaction channel but do you think you can react to bill burrs philly rant full version
We thought about doing comedy but didn’t think anyone would watch it
@@TheAdventuresofTNT i would totally and it could also reel in a different crowd for you guys
if you think this drummer is killing it, you should check out manowars ridiculous 28 minutes long song Achilles, Agony, and Ecstasy. treat yo self
It seems like they're almost always better live because they can pretty much do whatever they want.cant do that on the album.seen them over a dozen times, and they never disappoint.heres hoping he kicks Cancer's ass and gets back to taking over the world!!!!
You should check out Suicidal Tendencies' Don't Give A Fuck, Jimmy DeGrasso's finest hour.
Owhhhhh that is jackson V.. I thought that was gibson V
JIMMY DEGRASSO
Marty had just walked
Lucrecia
I know im months late to this reaction, This version here was so unique as there was a Tech Issue with the bassists guitar that needed to be fixed so they had to fully improvise and just buy time so from 3:19 to 8:12 was all Not planned
Daaaamn didnt know It wasnt planned! They are so synchronized with each other!!
