You just saved me a ton of time not making a huge mess I'm a one man band and holding the bags open single handedly when adding the goods to is to say the least difficult
I'll be building one of these tomorrow. I spent hours this evening doing scoops from the bucket to the bag, just like you described. Haha I ordered some Lion's Mane from you again, you should have an order going to Oklahoma shortly. 😉 Great video, this is going to help big time.
Dam I wish I would have known how to get bags when I was growing. That’s cheap and effective. Doing big casings in totes had lots of mold issues, bags are a great way to settle in between casings and jars
Complete newbie here, I have been wanting to grow Lions Mane for a very long time and want to do it in bulk. I saw your video on the "Uncle Bens" Tek and was wondering if I would be able to transfer the rice into a hardwood substrate fruiting bag once colonized, or would I have to grow it from the Uncle Bens bag? I know it's off topic but any advice would help. Thank you!
Yeah you can do that. Here’s the video I made about lions mane. ua-cam.com/video/t55I21cyWYc/v-deo.html Just make the same substrate and follow everything in the video but substitute grain spawn for uncle bens. Make sure everything is sterile and make a lot of bags so you have better chances. There will be a percentage of failure.
@@SporenSprout awesome, thank you for your feedback man and your videos are more helpful than you know! I just bought 2 lions mane cultures from you so I’m excited to see how it goes. Is there any way I can contact you personally and maybe pay you for one on one advice as I attempt my first grow? Thanks again.
Ingenious! Biggest plus for me? Not getting substrate all over the kitchen!
Cool simple and effective build. Nice job 👍

awesome. Thanks so much!
I notice your bags don't have self healing ports. Do you just use micropore tape?
I don’t inject substrate bags. I have self healing injection ports on my grain bags. I pour the colonized grain into the substrate bag.
@@SporenSprout ahhhh, I see
What size is that duct boot?
Really cool design and simple to make. Keep it simple right. What size bags are you using and where are you getting them from just curious?
Type 14A from Unicorn bags. 8″X5″X19″
