I have had my Peloton Tread + for just over a month, and in this video I’ll share with you how the tread functions, what I like most about the tread, a preview of some of the tread content as well as my favorite instructors!
In early 2021, Peloton will be releasing a smaller treadmill that has a smaller screen and a more standard treadmill belt in comparison to the Tread +. These changes to the tread make it much more affordable at $2495. I hope this review helps you determine whether to wait for the new tread or just go for the Tread+!

Below is a detailed description of the Tread +:
Treadmill Features:
Slat Belt: 67” L x 20” W
The belt is constructed of horizontal rubber slats that move along the tread deck. 59 aluminum slats with a rubber rugged texture on a ball bearing rail system. The slats feel sturdy and supportive.
32” 1080p HD touchscreen
This touchscreen is crisp and vibrant.
Motor: 2 HP AC
This is less horsepower than comparable models, but it is an AC system rather than a DC which is what most treadmills use. The Tread is powerful and responds very quickly when incline or speed adjustments are made.
Speed and Incline knobs with jump buttons
Placed on the inside the handlebars is a speed knob on the right and an incline knob on the left. These are a nice size and feel good in your hand. It is intuitive to spin the knob forward to increase and pull it back to decrease. A jump button in the center of each knob will take you up to the next whole number.
There is no quick Jump button to decrease speed or incline, so you have to manually make all speed and incline adjustments.
Bluetooth audio:
The Tread easily syncs with personal headphones so you can listen to the classes.
0-12.5mph Speed
This is a good speed range that should offer plenty of speed for most runners.
0-15% Incline
The Tread feels sturdy when inclined and the motor pivots the deck up and down smoothly. There is no decline.
Free Mode
A free mode button disengages the Tread belt from the motor so you can manually push the belt along with your feet. This is a challenging exercise that will add a nice variety to your workouts.

I just got mine as well, I also have the bike. I think people keep forgetting that it is more than a treadmill and walking-running. It also has a floor workout. You can also fling it to your TV to finish the floor workout, that feature is also including in the bike.

try calling peloton and seeing if they can move your delivery up! my delivery date was originally april 1. i called them today and they moved it up to next week. (despite the recording saying “we can’t move up deliveries”).

Have you reviewed other treadmills like nordictrack? I'm debating nordictrack vs peloton the new one that's coming out in March 2021 . Also the only reason I was looking at nordictrack was because of the moter thats about4.0 peloton is only 2

I am in Arizona and have always wondered how an expensive thread mill such as a Peloton would do in a garage during the hot summer months. Do you use a dedicated circuit or just the regular wall outlet?
We just use a regular outlet. In SoCal, it gets pretty hot in our garage but we have a fan in there and it seems to be cool enough to workout and we didn’t see any issues with the tread. Hope this was helpful!
I think it depends where in AZ. I used to live in southern Arizona and I feel that it would be okay in the garage - still a bit risky though. I also lived in the Phoenix metro for a while and there’s no way I’d keep it in the garage unless you have an ac unit in there.
I am creating my garage gym. I was wondering if you at all have any concerns about the electronics in the Peloton? I am waiting on mine and I am not sure how it will do in the hot garage during the summer when it is not being used.
Although we haven’t had too many terribly hot days since we’ve had it....it’s seems to be doing fine. I would ask peloton directly about that just to be sure. Thanks for watching!!

No you have to pay for the monthly subscription which just supports the new workouts that they are posting daily.
Quick question.... does it offer classes like Orange Theory? And how does it hold in your garage? I live in Gl where it’s hot. Thank you
I’ve never been to Orange theory but they have classes in the tread and boot camp classes that incorporate weights and running. They offer a huge variety of classes. You can try the peloton app free for 30 days to see if you like the content they offer! It holds up well in our garage we have really hot summers and we haven’t had any problems with it due to the heat.
@@AngeliqueClark thank you for your response. I have a appointment on Saturday to checkout both treadmills. And the was concerned that the hot weather would cause condensation. Good to hear the treadmills hold up in the garage
