- This video shows the size differences in the Glock 30s compact 45acp and the Sig Sauer P320 Compact in 45acp. I attempt to show the advantages and disadvantages of each in choosing a carry option.

My first gun was a SIG P226 and SIG makes good guns, but I’ve been shooting GLOCK for so long now that I prefer the lower bore axis of the GLOCK. The simplicity of the GLOCK design also makes it much easier to perform detailed maintenance on the gun. I’ve become accustomed to the GLOCK grip, such that most other guns don’t feel natural to me. Having owned many different guns, I’ve settled on GLOCKs and 1911s. Thanks for the video.
Very good observations. As you can see by my other videos I am completely with you on the Glock and the 1911 preferences. Thank you for watching
@@TerryBenton I built a decent collection of guns that included most major manufacturers. I wanted the variety and I appreciate the design of different firearms, but a few years ago I decided to downsize my collection. I tended to train with only a handful of my guns that I used in competition and/or carried. Since GLOCKs, 1911s and CZs were what I mainly liked and used, I started selling off my other guns. It also made maintenance easier because I have to stock fewer parts and I can become very knowledgeable about the platforms for when detailed maintenance is needed. The demand for guns over the last couple of years gave me an opportunity sell when prices were good. I thought I’d miss some of the guns, but I actually feel better about my decision. I’ll spend my time modifying a few of my existing guns, but any new additions will only be GLOCKs or 1911/2011s. I want a commander sized 1911 and 2011 in 9mm which I’ll acquire at some point.
@Danke Glock That is awesome. I really like the commander size 1911s. Modifying 1911s can be tricky but very much a process that you can do. I do not own a 2011. I have not decided yet if that is a path I want to take. I am a more traditional person but I did shoot one at the range and found myself liking it and intrigued. I hope you get a very nice commander and 2011. Keep me posted on what you choose.
@@TerryBenton I want the 2011 for shooting steel. I can use the one CZ Custom gun I kept, but I’d like to try a 2011. I had one chambered in 40S&W years ago and it was a beast of a gun. The downside to 2011s is the mags haven’t been as reliable, but it seems like Staccato and others have sorted out those issues. I prefer commander size 1911s when guns are chambered in 9mm, as they seem to cycle faster and track better for me. The government model slides feel too heavy to me in 9mm and are prone to dipping as they go back into battery. It’s similar to why I prefer the G45 to the G17. When it comes to 45 ACP, the longer slides mate we’ll with the slower, heavier recoil impulse.
Although many prefer the Glock, many others wouldn't piss on a Glock if it were on fire. Quite polarizing.
My beef with Glock is that 40 years and 5 generations later, still not the best pistol with the most standard features at a fair price... but should be. Palmetto State Armory or Shadow Systems make better Glocks than Glock.
Great video, I enjoy the 30S plus you can use the Glock 21 magazines in the G30S
Absolutely. Thanks for watching
Great video, really got down to the meat and potatoes of the comparison
Thank you for watching
I been looking for a g30sf for like 3 month locally....no store has them so I KNOW for a fact that it's a great carry. When I get one, I will treasure it 😂
They are fantastic carry guns
Had my 30SF for years and traded for the 320 in 45. The G30 would pinch my pinky when I fired it and the 320 is so much more comfortable to shoot. Both great guns
The 320 is more comfortable in my hand. ThankS for watching . I do like both
I carry a glock 30s and carry 3 G21 mags as backup, but im looking to buy and try the sig. In addition to the better trigger i find the stainless steel frame option appealing
I wish other manufacturers had better compact .45 options. Sig only holds 9+1 and HK only holds 8+1 and even the larger .45 mags only hold 10 to glocks 13. I wish FN made a compact FNX45 and wish the RIA BBR had factory pinky extender and extended mag options
I completely agree. I have an FN 545 they just came out with this year. If they made that in a compact size it would be amazing
I'll take the Sig.
Good. Choice
I carry the P250 compact 45 daily. Love it.
I like those. Hammer fired gun. They are nice
@@TerryBenton It’s been awesome so far. I like the fact it’s just like a revolver so no need for external safety to mess with and firing pin isn’t partially loaded like a striker fired. I can feel comfortable when I appendix carry lol.
I have both of those guns and I like the way the Sig shoots better and I like the Glock more for concealment. Both shoot good but I like the Sig a little better cus its smoother shooting then the G30s. So the Glock goes on my hip and the Sig is on my dresser next to my bed with a light on it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for thr comment. I also think the sig is more comfortable in my hand and is easier to shoot. I carry the G30s everyday
My experience with my 30S is that is gives more of push than a voilent snap recoil, great for double tap, with these light frame high caliber short barrel pistols, it's all about training and finding out your best grip and squeeze technique, I carry the legendary Gen 3 Gaston S everyday of my life
I honestly think it is the best carry gun ever made. ThankS for watching
@@TerryBentonI totally agree😊🤝
I love my p365 runs flawless but it seem the finish on the magazine seem to rust a bit and need to be lube at least 2-3 times a month and the gun 2x a month. I would like the p320 but I think I’m
Going to try the Glock out
Yeah try them all. Pick what works for you best. Thanks for watching
I got the 320 Carry in .45acp. It's the same size as a compact, but the mag well is a 1/4" longer.
It's 10+1 mag capacity
That is pretty awesome. Those p320 in 45acp are awesome guns
@TerryBenton I recently put a flat trigger and an Armory Craft trigger spring kit with a 10% reset. I know the factory trigger is great, but I highly recommend spending the $30 for the spring kit. It now has less than 3/16" of complete travel. Most triggers have more slack than that before the trigger ever reaches the tension wall

I have both and Glock is what I prefer.
You cannot go wrong with the Glock
❤ I LOVE SIG BECAUSE I HAVE BIG HANDS AND I CAN HAVE A GOOD GRIP ON IT...BUT THAT'S JUST ME. I HAD MINE MAG NA PORTED AND SHOOTS GREAT. OF COURSE I HAVE A GLOCK 21 GEN 3 AND I LOVE IT TOO !!! I'M MORE A FULL SIZE HANDGUN GUY AND I USE A SHOULDER HOLSTER...DAILY.❤
Shoulder holsters are awesome. I use them on my motorcycle
Just a excellent video on the glock 30s the Sig Just not with it also there service dept not great glock is 💯 better that's why police carry a lot of glock guns 👍
I agree
Already bought the 30s before watching before he sold me as soon as he said its his go to everyday 💰
Thr 30s is the best carry gun in my opinion
Agree, prefer the Glock 30s for a carry.
Good choice. Thanks for watching
When I shoot my G30s, my pinky finger gets pinched between the frame and the magazine.
I do not have that problem but I am sorry to hear that
Glock 30‼️
Right
Sig full size 45 mags will work they hold 10 rounds. As a bigger guy I prefer the sig grip
Oh yeah? I did not know that
Yeah buddy they make a full size 320 in 45 that holds 10 rounds. They will work in the compact just sticks out a little more. Love the comparison 👍
I have a P320 .45 Carry model. You get 10rds but the lower is the full size and the top is compact.
Never seen a 45 carry model. I wonder if someone put a full size grip module on it 🤔 did you buy it used?
Will the old P227 factory 14 rounds work?
Too many reported accidental discharges with Sig. I would not buy one because of this. Cops reporting that their sigs are just going off while sitting in their holster.
I understand. Thanks for watching
That’s the old model. Sig already work that out years back
If you believe that ,I've got some ocean front property in Tn. I'd like to sell you !
G30S all the way. The Sig sucks - heavy, wide, uncomfortable. I own both… Sig stays in the safe since it doesn’t require a press of the trigger to fire.
Lol. You folks and your theories.
Glock 30 and I sold the Sig because it was a great disappointment.
What was disappointing to you if you do not mind me asking?
@TerryBenton ... They had the recall on the trigger and after I got it back from the factory I didn't like the pull on it.
Your monotone voice is boring
Thank you Mr.
Excitement.
Before your next tutorial wake up first.
Boring, it's not anything that has not been discussed
A thousand times
