@@Layarion I'm no expert and just looking at the spec sheets, it looks like the most pronounced differences are at lighter visual tints. at 70 VLT, Xpel ceramic films do 94% IR block while the IRD film spec sheet claims 70 VLT = 98% IR block.
i got 3m ceramic tint 30-35% its very light for my liking, so i am planning to change it to a more darker maybe 20-25 range, then go with 70-75 range on windshield
I have three cars with three different setups. My favorite is 70, 30, 20 in ceramic. It's a good balance of cops leaving you alone, looks, and nighttime visibility. My 35, 15, 5 looks great, but I hold my breath passing cops and it's hard to see a night.
Sweet! Hopefully you don’t hit a pedestrian at night because tinting your front windshield is all your insurance company needs to know to reject your claim. Good luck and hopefully you have a spare million dollars just in case.
Hey man- I’m starting a window tint business. I was looking to see what a good credit card would be for a business like this. Any recommendations? Thanks!
Thanks for the video bro. What if I want to get colored window tint, like a chameleon tint for example? How does this ceramic etc go into that? I’m really curious since I want to get colored tint. Thank my man!

What's better geoshield or rayno shield? I want heat reduction and privacy 5% but I want to see HD quality and be able to see at night please let me know I have a window tint exception form and a permit from the security of state so I can legally tint my windshield and all my windows 5% please let me know.
Appreciate the content! You mention that ceramic tint is mixed with other things, can you elaborate more? I think you mentioned ceramic can have dye as well. Also, does ceramic tint hinder cell phone reception?
Most "ceramic" tints out there are really just dye films with some % of ceramic. This allows them to still call the films "ceramic" despite not being 100% ceramic. This is why despite 100's of ceramic brands out there, they never block the same amount of heat.
I been trying to get my windows tint and I've been calling around getting prices now I'm worried about what brand I choose...lexen, xpel, global, solargard.....prices from $680 to $268 🤕 I hurt my head calling all these damn tint shops 😂😂
Possibly something we'll look into in the future. What I taught in this video in terms of how to compare heat rejection numbers--you can take that with you where ever you go and compare 2 brands yourself
Ceramic Tint: The Advanced Tinting SolutionThese nano-ceramic particles play a crucial role in blocking out harmful UV rays and rejecting a substantial portion of solar heat. This results in excellent UV protection and heat reduction, keeping your vehicle cool and comfortable even on the hottest summer days.
It starts with the same ultra-thin material as other tint but then is coated with microscopic nano-ceramic particles that are invisible to the eye, yet powerful enough to reduce glare, block 99% of damaging UV rays, and handle the sun's most heat-generating infrared rays.
Question: I got 5% ceramic tint film on my car and on the first day it seemed kinda dark on the outside and inside *but* it was still somewhat see through and I could see the steering wheel the dashboard the radio and it was probably because the front windshield wasn't tinted and the light from the front illuminated the cabin making it more see through But on the rear it was kinda harder to see through it was a bit more darker than the front and on the inside it looked like a lightish bluish tint color I felt like it was still see through from the inside because of how clear the tint looked at night it wasn't a problem seeing out because it still seemed decently see through - My friend has 5% dyed tint on his car no front windshield tint And it is noticably more darker on the front than on my cars 5% ceramic I could barely see the top of the steering wheel and that's about it everything else was dark it was truly *limo tint* and the back was completely dark I couldn't see anything unless if I put hands on the glass to see through it and then when I was inside it felt a lot more darker it was more dimmed in the cabin of his car the windows from the inside look like a black tint film felt dark inside compared to mines but at night it was so dark could barely even see out of was just too dark My question is why was his dyed 5% tint darker than my 5% ceramic tint? -
Different cars have different windows in terms of size, amount, placement, and angle and those affect how light/dark it can look or you probably didn't get 5% tint if there's such a huge noticeable difference between your car and your friend's only way you can tell is put a light meter on your windows and see if it reads 5% or less

Whether or not you decide to do that, you should now be able to better choose between which ever films are available to you locally.
