Fun fact! With sullivan playing Walter Stickler, this is the first time a person is playing a character that is descended from another, while that previous character played by a different person! (The original stickler was played by laurie)

My favourite part is the characters everyone comes up with each episode
Constable Pete Quinell came back to life to play. Plus I can't believe Dom let him play after he assassinated his character all those Call of Cthulhu games ago.
The realisation that this was a built narrative of every campaign so far made this much much more daunting. The storytelling was genius and terrifying. Really rewards people that have taken the time to understand the lore so far. If Dom somehow mixes the two American based stories of the Y files and the western campaign it would be crazy! I’m just waiting till he states the name Cthulhu. The community is going to go crazy 😂
When i started to realize that i was floored tbh. Dom really is a masterful writer for these games
Now having finished the video, I loved it. Everyone's characters were lovely, the baddies were bad, and the callbacks were delightful. Props to Sully for keeping up the "nth worst whatever" bit. I love how Dom ties his maddening world together each time in what I assume will be called The Domniverse.
Also, glad that SOMEBODY made the stag joke, I'm just surprised it was an NPC and not one of the players. And I have to say, the intro was glorious. Confusing at first, until you learn the reason for the road trip. I hope they give that place a bad review.

I made a playlist of all Yinz Cthulhu videos called Call of Cthulhu "Chaotic Mythos". And I had an inkling of a thought that each season was three episodes, and the last episode of the season had an Orange back to the words Call of Cthulhu instead of Green, and I was right. I love watching your videos with my Grandfather, he loves them as much as I do. Hallo from the State of Pennsylvania in the USA.
Edit: it's the Green ones that mark the end of a season, sorry, I confused myself.

After finishing this once more I need to praise Dom’s storytelling ability. Every reference had my partner and I on the edge of our seat and love how everything is interconnected. Amazing story, wonderful characters and can’t wait to see what more torture Dom has in store!

I’m from the US and I even was yelling “All Creatures Great and Small!” when Dom brought up James Harriet. Apparently growing up watching British comedies and dramas has given me more pop culture knowledge than people who grew up in the UK 😂

@@ciaranbyrne6255It was actually Holly’s Character, and her character did a similar thing twice in the same 1-shot! Tilly’s Character was probably scared at the scene and in a corner.
I can’t remember the specific reason why her character did it but her hand returned bloody. It was quite horrific.

Just want to give a shout out to the soundtrack for the episode. Special shoutout to the track that was used in "The Loathsome Slime" by Apocalypse Players. I loved it then, and it totally fits this one too. Good choice!
Sound effects and songs are always top notch in your episodes, but The Loathsome Slime is a favourite of mine as someone who is unhealthily obsessed with the Antarctica.

I love the callbacks. Horatio was the vampire in the cowboy episode, which made Tilly’s jaunt through time a loop. The Reek manor stuff and the various connections. And so much other stuff! 🎉

I have to say, while modern times is my least favourite Cthulhu setting, I do think it works in the wider grand narrative Dom is spinning here. I tend to prefer my one-shots to be self-contained without an overarching narrative, but if this series is intended to have a grand plot, then it's done very well. None of the callback or references seem in-jokey or gratuitous: it suggests an interconnected tapestry of certain families & lines across decades or even centuries in a very LovecraftIan way (it actually reminds me a lot of "Dark," albeit obviously more blatantly Eldritch).
Each of the scenarios seems to be set in a different period, & inspired by CoC Chaosium supplements (& Dom sports different facial hair each eapideo too, which surely can't be coincidence):
"The Kiss of the Fish Man" - 1958, Atomic Age Cthulhu;
"The Yellow Sign of the Four" - 1888, Cthulhu by Gaslight;
"The Y-Files" - 1985, no specific setting but heavy Delta Green vibes;
"The Weird, the Mad, & the Ugly" - 1800s, Down Darker Trails;
"The Last Night of Freedom" - 2000s, Cthulhu Now
I very much hope this continues to be the case, & we explore other periods in history to see how all the tendrils interlock & writhe through time. I'd love to see Dom's world in the time of Cthulhu Dark Ages (my favourite setting), & maybe even go wild with Cthulhu Rising or Cthulhu End Times. Heck, I even think Dom has it in him to hack a setting - we've heard a lot of talk about the Tudors & John Dee over the series, so I suspect maybe some sort of 17th Century adventure down the line.
(Is there a Chaotic Neutral wiki? If not, there should be, just to keep track of all this!)

These Call of Cthulhu episodes are a treasure in themselves, but they're made even better by such amazing guests. So cool to see Liv in this one!

@@lazykbys His family wasn't murdered, Stickler was just a horrific and careful serial killer. He sees his family at the end of yellow sign in a hallucination though.

Honestly there’s references to every single call of Cthulhu they’ve played (the NRB three part, kiss of the fish man, yellow sign of four, the y-files and the weird the mad and the ugly)
