1:57:37 what an amazing sequence. The idea of having the voice from the earpiece talking to Laurie when the earpiece is no longer in his ear is chilling. And for a character that always has earpieces in the character might not have even noticed it aswell. I love how seamlessly dom states that the message occurs before the earpiece is put back in lol.

I'm only to the first scene so far but just had to stop for a moment to comment on how good Dom's American accent is! There's a subtlety to it that you don't often hear when non-Americans try to sound American, putting Dom in that rare echelon of Brits whose American accent doesn't sound like an old-timey cowboy or a 1940s New York gangster. @@FrostedCreations It's implied the Russian spy was being mind controlled by a Shan, that's why he attacked the Mi-Go colonel. As for the clones, the Mi-Go have taken over the government (or at least the FBI) and the clones are their MIBs (Epsilon included). The Edgar Allan Poe baboon holding the pyramid is the weird one. There's also the possibility that since Laurie interrupted what Dom was building up to by killing the Russian spy, Dom had to abandon that plot point last minute and adapt around, so maybe we'll never know. 🤷
@@IAmCaligvla On a rewatch I think you're right that's all likely what was intended, it's just strange that the Shan came out of the open Mi-Go base. 2) an ending just like normal X-files. Where some things make senses but lots of things are still totally confusing.
Lucy Farrett was such a treat. What a fun setting for this installment.
yeah this is the best one by far! the cast had instant chemistry and the characters fit so well together. i'm kinda sad they all died. i would've loved a multi-episode arc. a perfect blend of comedy and creepiness!
This was very interesting! I really liked the ending. Though as much as I like CoC, I hope you replay dread some day. That game was also really fun.
